| What. The fuck. Madhouse wasted half the episode on the team doing nothing, and then the rest of Trick Tower was really rushed, they should have expanded on it. First time I'm really disappointed. But heh, it's just one episode. |
| I love how innovative Gon is during the path part. The first half dragged a bit with everyone in the room for so long though. |

| Cool episode. Nice to see how they spent they're 50 hours, didn't see that in the manga. Pillow fight was adorable. Hahaa. It did take half the episode though. :| The wall breaking nice, followed the manga closely. All in all, good episode. |
| Yeah, I really like how Gon and Killua have been portrayed in this version. They just hit it off and it was cool to see the pillow fight and so on, they are so chill throughout all of this. I did not like Gon in the first anime but I'm liking him here for some reason. No idea why I think differently of him now. |

| Even though the first half of this was filler, it was still kind of hilarous. Gon and Killua constanly getting on Leoro's nerves lol. Tompa is just so unwavering, he will stop at nothing to see there dreams crushed. So they finally finished the final choice and just barely made it to the end of of the exam. That was quite smart of gon to think of that little strategy to bust through the wall. It was actually nice to see more contestants come through, cause in the manga they never shown all those guys. |

Anyways, engaging episode. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Yeah it followed the manga very faithfully, the extra parts you are taking bout is only from the original series. |

| I knew the last phase had to with one of those last one standing kind of thing (well it's not necessarily that way, but yeah, they had to choose who passes and whatnot). Gon's idea to break down the wall was brilliant! :) I like how optimistic he is. They all arrived in the very last minute. I'm thinking Hisoka probably killed all his teammates, or the rest of his teammates if they hadn't died from a death match against the prisoners. |

| What a great episode! I love Gon and Killua's friendship, it's the cutest thing. And I love Kurapika's sort of caring, quiet nature. I was kind of shocked that Leorio would have betrayed them like that, I'd have preferred all 5 of them to take the long route than only 3 of them get through. Luckily Gon's solution worked! The next phases should be interesting based on the narrator's foreshadowing. |

| the thing i love about this show is that it goes for the unique. instead of going the most obvious route with killua, he made him genuine. the pillow fight wasn't only some "Daw" moment, but it just goes to remind you - these are *12yr old boys* here. they are going to have *12yr old fun*. killua's unbringing never made him have the chance to do such things, but that doesn't automatically mean he wouldn't enjoy it. it's about time for a fresh start with kids like him, instead of the usual ciel phantomhive and such. but even for such a mature person as ciel, it's still incorperated that he whines whenever he doesn't get what he wants, he sometimes throws mini baby tantrums, tries to hide that he likes candy lolipops rather than a cake, etc. that's what i like about him. he's not all adult. no matter what happens, there's still a kid in you somewhere. killua shows that, only it's much more obvious. he doesn't know how to be one exactly, but whatever gon does, he's openminded and goes for it. maybe others don't feel that such a simple thing as a pillow fight needs to be looked in this, but that's how it is with me. so with that, i found that HXH didn't make this episode boring. five people stuck in a room for 50hrs, and it was still entertaining. ---- i was also cracking up when i learned that they destroyed the wall lol. smart ol' gon! a bit like the scene in '99 when they all fell behind in the race to go upstairs XD |

| First time I actually liked changes in the adaptation! The waiting scene felt really long and dragged, which kind of made us think about how THEY felt. Also, I liked how they tried to trick the viewer into thinking Leorio and Tompa stood behind. And I also liked how they didn't just "get there at the last second" like in the older adaptation. The only thing I didn't like was them taking away the moment when Hisoka started wondering whether he had been wrong about Gon. Also Pockle's voice is awful |

| Spending 50 hours in a relatively comfy room then rushing to the finish line rather than biding the rest of their time at the tower could've arguably been better but I guess that's my procrastinator side talking. Thank goodness for Gon thinking outside the box! I thought that going the long and difficult way sounded like the correct answer because of friendship and all that but him smashing a path to the shortcut with everyone so they can make it was great! |

| I love the dynamic between Gon and Killia, no matter how strong they may be, they both are still kids, they are quick into directing their battle instincts into harmful playing. They finally passed this grueling phase. Onto the next. |
