| oh, and also...am I the only person who noticed that "Yamamoto" (I've forgotten his real name already, orz) was EXACTLY like a grown up Makoto? (Maybe I'm just the only person who wasn't focused on Meme the whole episode.) I mean they were quite clearly animating him to have all the same mannerisms and idiosyncrasies of Makoto and they were similar appearance and personality-wise too. I don't know if that's supposed to mean anything or if they're just doing it to fuck with us. It is SHAFT, after all. Also, ShootingForStars said: But the other two girls, just get them the fuck out. I can not STAND the (imo) really forced feeling harem aspect of this, especially Ryuushi, but Maekawa pisses me off as well for not having a real personality other than wearing stupid costumes and being "mysterious". I don't particularly like Meme but I can at least appreciate her role in the story, whereas imo the anime would be better without the other two. >_> |

I really enjoyed watching how Meme was the one who orchestrated the whole bottle rock deal, for her Granny’s well-being, as she had promise since years ago, whilst making it a self-satisfactory ritual after turning 40. Really, I can’t even make up how the show has this bittersweet atmosphere all over at some moments, yet never failing to give me a feel-good, amusing episode all the same. I guess I should stop trying to even think about it; it wouldn’t make sense anyway. I’ll merely rejoice that there’s more to watch. |

But there has to be a connection there. Or rather, I hope for there to be a connection there! I'm also gonna guess that Meme (and Nakoto's dad) was raised by her Grandma and Grandad, who died a bit before '28 years ago'. Did Elliot also die, or just disappear, like how Erio did, but she came back after 6 months. With different coloured hair. Yep, all sheer conjecture, but thats by tuppence! |

| It's indeed very nice to have Meme as the main character for a episode and it was rather funny to watch. The part where the rocket man proposed was funny as hell especially Meme's reaction to it. There conversation seemed like one amongst high school students. I wonder if Elliot will make a appearance in the near future and i wonder if he is aware that he has a daughter? So the candy shop owner was Erio and Makoto's great grandmother i wonder if the will ever know that fact. And Meme being the owner of the other confection store is also a surprise i wonder how much she actually appears at her job. That granny saying she has been near her death for the past 28 years proves that people who do this live longer! |

| The previous episode gave me false hope of putting the whole alien thing back into focus. Now it seems they'll just use this as something of a metaphor for their personal problems. For me, this is the most disappointing show of the season. I'm giving the ep 4/5 because Meme tried her best to salvage this wreck and did a great job. |
