I like KyoAni but i think Ufotable is the best, look at their KnK and Fate/Zero and also the upcoming Fate/Stay Night, breathtaking visuals and awesome action scene

Yes KyoAni is the best I've seen so far. High production values, great at bringing out your emotions and they tend to adapt BETTER than the source material. Not many KyoAni anime you can say "meh go read/play the source material it's way better".

Shaft is overrated imo. I haven't watched Monogatari series yet but I've seen SZS and Nisekoi and they aren't anywhere near the level of KyoAni. Even Madoka which is a masterpiece in my eyes, could have been improved with a bit more emotion. Their animation style lends itself perfectly to the series and the movies are beautifully animated. Though I think sometimes they don't know how to do art direction. They just throw money into an anime without being clever about what they animate and how. For example a recent episode of Nisekoi they made sparkles on the water at night in one scene that just looked like it was put there for the sake of it. It didn't add anything to the water in fact it juts looked stupid. Madoka movie 3 they were on LSD or some shit when they animated that. Sure it looks nice but it can be very distracting when it's too much you got things popping up and out of the screen all over the place. KyoAni makes everything look realistic. That's the kind of animation I like. Example: Haruhi Suzumiya movie.
I haven't seen Fate/Zero or Kara no Kyoukai movies so I don't know about ufotable. Got a feeling they will be great cause I saw some of their animation and it's awesome and obviously Fate/Zero series are very popular so I'm assuming it will be good when I watch it.

JC Staff is competent studio but very very inconsistent.

So in conclusion yes KyoAni is the best I can think of at the moment. Not one anime of them I haven't liked (except Air which was all right I guess).

My personal favorite is Sunrise (because they made Cowboy Bebop, Gintama, and Code Geass), but the most consitent, most organized, and the studio that knows how not to butcher the thing its based off, is Madhouse. Bones deserves an honorable mention

How I'd rank anime studios
In terms of visuals (character designs, backgrounds, lineart, and animation fluidity):
Kyoto Animation > P.A. Works > Madhouse > Bones > Ufotable > Sunrise > A-1 Pictures > Gainax > J.C. Staff > Deen > Trigger > Shaft
Note: I haven't watched enough anime from other studios to give an opinion about them. If I'd watched more stuff from them, I think I'd probably rank Production I.G. and Manglobe pretty high. Also, in terms of trippiness and psychedelic stuff, it'd probably be something like: Gainax > Trigger > Shaft > nobody else.

It's hard to rank anime studios as many of them aren't really consistent. For example, Madhouse is known for Death Note (which was great), but they're also the ones who made Chaos;Head (which was as shitty as an anime can get), and that's something we simply can't overlook.

But overall, Kyoto Animation arguably has two strong points compared to all its opponents:
- in terms of adaptation, they're the best. They often add a lot of original content while still catching the vibes of the stuff they adapt, and they often add a "human" dimension to their shows that the original doesn't even have. I mean, even if the original content is not really believable, they still manage to make it feel real. K-on and Lucky Star are the best examples: the mangas are just a bunch of gigs, but the animes go beyond that (especially K-on, which sometimes becomes emotional).
- in terms of visuals, they're the least "cheap" (except Nichijou and Lucky Star, but they are made that way on purpose so it doesn't really count). Not only the visuals are often rich and lively, they're also clean (smooth animation, pretty environments and chara-designs, ...). They're often years ahead of most of their opponents.

KyoAni is definitely my favourite anime studio. I used to like Sunrise a lot, but their latest works use a lot of very lame CGI...
But of course we can all agree Toei Animation is the worst of them all.
Everything changes. Even the happy and funny things eventually disappear. How can I still enjoy this place then?

They do make good adaptations and have great adaptation, but they rarely make sequels.

nah, they're great at times but I find P.A. Works to be vastly superior because they actually put the effort to make Anime originals.

Yes, but no. The only time they didn't make a sequel is hyouka, haruhi, and nichijou and hyouka and haruhi didn't get any sequel due to there not being enough meterial to adapt and both of those series not being completed to this day.
