Very happy that the next episode will be a double episode but at the same time sad that it will be the final episode.

The timeline and place of Bazz-B's and Jugram's flashbacks have always confused me. The timeline reason is because of the Quincy King prophecy: "The sealed King of the Quincy. Over 900 years, he shall recover his heartbeat. Over 90 years, he shall recover his intellect. Over nine years, he shall recover his power. And over nine days, he shall recover the world." After all, as we saw from the flashback both Bazz-B and Jugram grew similar fashion to humans, and in this flashback, it was established when Yhwach was building his new unit which was Sternritter, so this flashback's timing should have been quite near the current timeline. So, does that mean Yhwach was leading his troops when he wasn't yet intelligent? They did say in the flashback he wasn't sane, so it kind of makes sense, but even so... Also, based on the environment, people's clothes, and technology in the flashback it seemed to be medieval times. Yet the current time in the Bleach universe isn't that old, even though Soul Society lives in a mixture of 'old time' and new one, but even so... Not to mention the older Quincies who appeared in the flashback. We saw them together with Yhwach when he had his chat with Ichibe which was 1000 years ago. So, either those Quincies aged slower (thanks to Yhwach), or maybe Quincies who don't live in the World of the Living age slower?

The flashback took place over 1000 years ago in human world which means both Jugram and Bazz-B are over 1000 years old at this point. They age slower then normal humans most likely because after the fall of the Quincy Empire they hid themselves in "shadow realm" of Soul Society where souls age at much slower rate. The series did a bad job at explaining this.

Thank you for telling me that, because yes, the show did an extremely bad job in that. However, it still begs the question: Quincies aren't souls, yet does that mean anyone who would decide to live in Soul Society or even Hueco Mundo would age slower? Because based on your words that would be the case...

Wow they nailed this fight. Animation was top tier, but the emotional part of the fight was also really good. RIP Bazz-B, I honestly liked you a lot despite how much of a jerk you were. I liked Haschwalth looked shaken after Bazz died.

I liked the scenes with Yhwach's old elite team. The Quincy gal is a true menace.

Two episodes left. I hope the season finale ends up being awesome. The fact we don't know how it's gonna end makes it even more exciting.

It was explained at one point by Urahara that it's impossible to enter Soul Society in physical body. Which is why when humans such as Chad, Orihime and Uryu wen't there to save Rukia they had to use special gate that transforms their kishi (physical particles) into reishi (spirit particles) temporarily.

I'm assuming Quincy during their 1000 years of hiding used a similar method and basically turned themselves into spirits.

Interesting contrast, parallels and twist thematically speaking. It's often fascinating how a particular action or cause (Yhwach in this case) can affect people in different ways.

For Bazz, Yhwach obviously became a target. For Jugram, he experienced liberation and a source of validation/worth.

At first ya Buzz B was jealous that Jugo was the chosen one, but ultimately it didn’t matter as long as they killed Yuwach even if they had to join him so when Jugo protected Yuwach from Buzz B’s attack that was the biggest betrayal of their pact and friendship but even after everything that happened Buzz never changed his main goal and for that he's the winner in my book…

Just as a snooze fest as I remember from the manga, such a shame there is only one amazing fight in the anime now and it is Askin's that will be in the next season. Well, at least Kubo can still fix a few things.

Bazz is the real MVP. Jugram... is just a rat, who betrayed his friendship. I think he was more grateful to Yhwach for killing his uncle, since he clearly abused/molested him, Bazz was always the one who wanted to get revenge.

I call BS on what Yhwach said to Bazz. Sure, Jugo helped him grow even more, but you could see he was already a genius/prodigy before he met Jugo. Get out of here with that "he helped you become a genius" garbage!

Another tragic friendship. lol

Cute girl.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Good episode.

One thing that really confuses me is that is this takes place 1000 years ago in what I assume is Europe, why are their people in Yhwach's army with clothes and weapons, like the girls rifle, that look like they are from 100 years ago at most.

I've found much of TYBW to be middling, rushed, uninspired and emotionally hollow with its utter lack of having characterization, just empty battle scene after battle scene with boring and empty-headed Quincys.

This episode was great, I think that may have been the most violent Bleach episode? Unless I'm forgetting more graphic episode.

Fantastic episode. The backstory definitely made me care much more for these two, who up to this point haven’t really done anything that left a lasting impression on me. And yea the backstory isn’t anything we haven’t seen before at least once elsewhere, but the end result is where it hit the hardest, when they inevitably clashed. Bazz B stood absolutely no chance against Haschwalth, and I don’t think anyone watching was expecting Bazz to win, but still :( a very sad episode this week.

This episode was beautifully done, especially with the art and soundtracks. I feel that Jugram's betrayal from their friendship between him and Bazz was because he felt Bazz's jealousy when he was chosen by Yhwach and the Quincy King pointed out to Bazz that he was just a nobody and only became a genius due to Jugram's unique circumstances. Also, due to Jugram's upbringing and being told by Yhwach that he needed him were the final nails in the coffin.

Then Bazz uttered his last words to Jugo, saying "I thought I'd feel much worse... losing to you." It just goes to show that Bazz felt content of his loss to his fight against Jugo. I believe he realized that his own ego and selfishness are what led to the breakup of his friendship with Jugo. And so along the way after they joined the Sternritter, he always tempted Jugo to fight him, only to be brushed aside. Poor Bazz-B.

This is absolutely wrong. The backstory was necessairy to explain Jugram's past and how he compares to Uryu (choosing his loyalty to Yhwach over his friend) which later will be futher explored.

Rip Bozo... I hoped that he'd manage to at least leave a scratch on Jugram, but the power gap is way too high, isn't it. I'm still hoping him touching Jugram's clothes was to lay a trap but we'll have to wait for next week.

Waiting for the retards to show up who complain there isn’t enough action and unga bunga throwing punches, and who disregard character development in this series anyway, because they don't care. The last two episodes have shown that clearly.

This episode was literally 🔥🔥
It has more or less affirms to me why Bleach’s character pieces appeal and resonate with me than with the likes of the other two names of the Big Three. Sure, they may be technically in the same ballpark in terms of writing and target audience, but the attention to details with character relationships and dynamics, like with Jugram and Bazz B for example here, are what appeal to me a lot because of how befitting it is for one of Bleach’s recurring ideas of one’s strength and abilities being reflective of their emotions and past experience.

Amazing episode. It really made me care about Jugo and Bazz B, I feel really bad about Bazz B, Yhwach not choosing him, his talent coming from Jugo, and challenging Jugo so many times and never actually fighting him and when he does he dies was very sad to me but overall this is one of the best episodes of the cour.

No, there was no point in a longer fight for three reasons.
One, it was one sided, Haschwalth was way stronger.
Two, Haschwalth wanted to hurry back to watching Ishida.
Three, Haschwalth is going to get a bigger fight soon.

Not much happened in this episode other than the flashback, and not much happened in the fight because it wasn't even a fight, Bazz-B was outclassed in every possible way, but at least I didn't have to endure the UNO reverse card bullshitery and those retarded, ugly looking transformations in this episode because there wasn't one, so yeah, this episode was great, but that ain't saying much, Bazz-B is kinda pointless as a character anyway and he didn't achieve shit either, this episode is there just to hype that blonde son of a bitch and to make him look like he's above everyone else.

Also, how old are these characters again? Are they 1000 years old or something? because for being that old, Bazz-B sure seemed kinda weak, but then again, it was probably due to the blonde son of a bitch getting a powerup, all the guys that Yhwach saved got a powerup after all and that powerup was thanks to the sacrifice of the other guys that died. Maybe if Bazz-B got that same powerup then he would stand a chance but he didn't.

So yeah, the episode was great, but I'm glad we are moving on from that useless Bazz-B character.
