I read the Manga many years ago so I don't remember, but when will Shishio finally make his appearance? That's what I'm waiting for right now

@Alexioos95

Thank you so much for your response and I apologise for the tardiness of mine. Yeah, I think you're right, especially after having seen episode 18, I had forgotten about that part of the story too πŸ˜…

I've been enjoying this new Kenshin series quite a lot and I would feel very cheated if they, after all this, did not cover the Kyoto Arc at least. But I would be completely thrilled to see the whole Enishi Arc finally adapted too!

Yutaro's arm injury that forces him not being able to practice swordsmanship, Kenshin came back to deal with Raijuta one more time with his Izuna technique that he failed to see the first time, but he knows now to avoid its blows no matter how the latter had its power burst from his sword. And with the least moves and strongest powers, Kenshin's able to control the playing field by defeating Raijuta with his sheath alone.

But that's not enough for Raijuta: capturing Yahiko and killing him with his Shinko-ryu murderous sword, it can hurt but not kill people, no matter how hard he tried. And that concludes Raijuta and Yutaro's episodes, as the latter is moved to Germany with his father concentrate on his treatment and move on with life in a week. Sure enough, everyone didn't have words to comfort Yutaro, but Yahiko sure did to pick a fight with him, there was really no need to worry about Yutaro.

Yutaro Tsukayama, may you be missed and come back strong to pick on Yahiko in the foreseeable future.

When he said he plans to move to Germany as they're medically advanced, I shouted this from my seat:

Throughout this arc, I was wondering why Raijuta didn't feel like a murderous thug. The twist with him was quite a fascinating dynamic, showing how his obsession with killing came from inexperience. That final scene was a real nail biter. I could really feel the depravity of Raijuta's last desperate attempt to hold onto his idealized, murderous sword style.

The final spar with Yahiko & Yutaro still remains my favorite part of this arc.

At least the fake master has been defeated, but sad that Yutaro and his father need to move to Germany because of his arm :(

Raijuta needed a bigger beatdown....maybe a severed arm in retribution?

Also that kid is going to end up hating his father even more after moving to Germany.

Think in this instance, prefer the version of Raijuta from the 1997 series. Felt like his threat level was greater in the original series with his different goal in wanting to set up his own brigade of swordsmen to launch a rebellion against the Meiji government, lacking the manga version's hesitancy to kill others, and took out an entire brigade of soldiers before Kenshin had to step in to defeat him.

I don’t think we’re done with Raijuta yet. We still don’t know why he’s so obsessed with reviving murderous swordsmanship when he can’t even bring himself to harm an old woman or a young girl. He was strong enough to make Kenshin take him seriously, so I hope he comes back once he understands himself better.

perfect perfect awesome love ittt, the fight of Kenshin x Raijuta is total eye candy, Kenshin`s manic face the second he pulled his sword gave me the chillssss.
my honest thoughts about this anime is, it`s a bit hard to understand people who lived across the globe more than 150 years ago in a crazy society where there exists people whose jobs and livelihood consists of fighting/killing people, although times changed and they aren`t allowed to do it anymore, but what remains unchanged is the blackness of their hearts from all the people they hurt/killed, so it isn`t easy for the former hitokiri to be a repenting man, on the contrary, it takes a person of his strength to walk on this journey while inspiring more people obsessed with fighting/killing people who needed their sense knocked onto them by an overpowering strength
