This episode might just be the lowest in terms of animation prowess.

For a beginner-level labyrinth, Nick and his party wants full assurance of their role in finding the Sword of Bonds, that is testing them of their mettle of bonds together. And as expected, they find the sword talking with the blade gone and activated by magic, thinking that it's broken and easily sold. Likewise, the Sword has been waiting for its wielder for quite sometime, but in the process, when the Sword is unsheathed from its position, the Guardian in the form of the Amalgam Golem is activated to deter adventurers, and the Survivors are in a real pinch. The only way is the use the Sword of Bonds to stop the golem in its tracks, and the others to buy time while waiting for Nick to recover.

Curran having her moment of recluse with Nick about the pendant that he broke the last episode, it signified a new beginning for the Dragonian. The Union between Nick and Curran, NGL, is cool, and they manage to get out of the labyrinth in one piece. Getting the reward and handing over the imitation of the Sword does good to forebode the Survivors with lots of pay that is divided equally for their own hobbies. The inclusion of the Sword of Bonds as Kizuna, this is where the Survivors truly started.

Absymal animation, carried by the cool concept.

Pretty great episode imo!

We got to see them use a new ability that sort of fuses two party members together which I guess was neat, and on top of that they got a new sword/party member

I will admit though, while I've been loving this so far, what was that animation on the stairs lol that easily could've been cut, and if anything I wish it was because it seems like it's starting to raise doubt for the rest of this series. Looking forward to see where this goes ofc but yeah that animation was odd. I just seriously hope the animation isn't like that up ahead

animation was not very good
we have got a fusion in this anime XD cool idea but dangerous at the same time because they can do a fusion and win too easily so wait and see what will they do

Animation suddenly bottom quality and the story seemed suddenly rushed from 3 to 4 like they were trying to speedrun the setup and get right to the core story. Went from talking old man sword to some androgynous child in one second with no explanation and a coincidental "wow nice thing they had a ton of replicas". Seemed interesting the first couple episodes but plummeted, gonna have to drop this one.

Why is a character introduced in episode 4 the easiest name to remember?

I hope using the blade of Bonds doesn't become a 'win the game' element

Nick, Curran, DNA Digivolve to... IDK if that form has a name.
Havin read the manga I know the story's relatively solid but the production here in the anime is really struggling to sell it unfortunately.

Really rough looking episode this week...
The fusion concept reminded me of Armatization from tales of Zestiria.

I don't know its only me but i wonder why they usualy mess with nice manga isekai titles? Or there is studio who make anime like amateurs or done by assistants and some freshmans. Usualy if they start anime from action instead of introduction like any story should be tell, this mean show will be  poor. Addtionaly many changed scenes and add unnesesary things and overall bad amateur animations, when i remind scene where they climb down stairs i want PUKE, like 2d nick on 2 d stairs background.
Don't get me wrong i like Ningen Fushin as story shown in manga, same as i liked Tensei Kenja no Isekai Raifu, but they mess anime too. For now from all isekai titles i like only studio who take care Slime, make a good work, anime is popular, follow manga very close and done with professional work, unfortunetly i can' say word about this.
These meesing with isekai titles made into anime adaptaion make me pry to not get any another anime instead waiting for next.

So they just took the sword, made +1 team member, and got the money for the quest, what a profitable day lmao
I do hope that their adventures will indeed increase.

This feels really rushed. The animation is obviously struggling in various parts, but the story is also just skipping things.

Based on what the Sword of Bonding said, they should have gone through a bunch of trials and stuff to get to this part of the labyrinth, but they don't even mention doing that. Once they start fighting the golem thing, Nick is clearly supposed to do something that causes him to fall further down, possibly trigger a second collapse of the now unstable walls/ceiling, so that he is in a compromised position, and Curran can save him, and they can have their emotional connection, and bond.

Tiana and Zem didn't even try the most basic tactic when it comes to slow enemies, which is to run away while they are slowed, and then slow them again, so that they can never catch up to you. As spell casters this should have been tactics 101 when they were being trained. If you are ever separated from your front line party members, as classes that can't handle front line combat, you should slow the enemy, and run away. They have plenty of space all around to move. This leads me to believe that in the source material they were probably in much tighter spaces, and the monster was cutting off their escape. If that's not the case, then the author/illustrator had a poor understanding of how to portray combat scenarios.

The story is alright so far. Definitely hinted at being better. Hopefully the source was better, because this doesn't feel like it's doing it much justice. Hopefully this doesn't take a dive to even lower quality.

after all the trust problems they had in the past, now they take forever before accepting a new quest, everything needs to be written in an official document LOL

i'll probably never get tired of how cool are these dragon girls throwing fire from their mouth (beast tamer, kobayashi maid dragon, 300 slime witch, for example)

interesting dungeon, clearly handmade, and with lights that turn on and off to not waste electricity, damn

3:34, i usually don't even notice those details, but this walking animation was funny :D

dragon girl sure is pretty when we look at her properly

meh that sword scene, too random lol

the fight with that nano machine golem was scary
but... while magic girl tries to buy time, dragon girl is just slowly talking about her old team, no urgency at all lol
at least we know that breaking her pendant was actually a good thing, the last hit to forget her old party

ok wtf, i wasn't expecting them to fuse like that, that was intense
their bonds are finally paying off lol

the sword took form as a little young boy (or girl?) and now we have the full party complete
how they use their money tho, no one can comment on that

that last exchange, mop better clean Tiana properly HAHAHAHAHA

Pleasant to watch, and I am enjoying this one a lot. Nothing extraordinary here but the character dynamic have me coming back week after week.

I did not see the Curran and Nick fusion, but it was hype when it happened. Glad to see them move on from whatever weird tension the pendant situation created. Now we have the party setup with the inclusion of Kizuan. More fusions later down the line? I hope so

Next week will be great.

Our team of adventurers goes out to find the sword of bonds, aptly named considering the struggles our newly formed party is facing.

The highlight of this anime continues to be the heartwarming and uplifting interactions between our main characters and how they are slowly but surely trying to move past their prior trauma and regain the ability to trust and believe in others once more.

The fight scene was nicely enough animated in this episode, and our party almost got wiped out if not for the power of, wait for it, friendship hah.

A bit on the nose perhaps, but it clearly seems the show wants to keep the main emphasis and focus of the story about the interplay and developments of our party and how they grow with each other and as a whole.

We got to see Curran and Nick share a nice moment, even though our other two party members were in a battle for their lives at the same time, but it was nice nonetheless.

Even if the animation quality isn't top-notch, even if the story might not be the best or the most revolutionary, it is the characters and overall interplay between them that really make this show stand out and makes it a joy to watch.

While it can be serious and somewhat dark with the themes it has already explored, the entire healing process for our party is very nice and welcoming to see, and it warms the heart to see their journey moving forward bit by bit.

Looking forward to seeing more.

Best episode yet in my opinion. I'm really starting to dig the characters and I like the fact that the sword joined the team, gang ish fosho. I think having him as a kid totally helps complete the squads dynamic. Wasn't a huge fan of eps 2 & 3 but where back on track with this one. Good stuff yo.

That animation of them walking down the stairs and the kid running at the end was fucking atrocious 😂, I really hope it's not indicative of a major drop in quality from here on in.

I'm very very sorry for this. I loved how the manga shows how the MCs are genuine to how their characters are expected but the anime is just... too calm and vibrant.

We're actually dealing with emotional traumas and people on the brink of violent retaliation.

The animations man... ughhh I've seen hentai like "Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World" with a better flow of plot.

again. I'm sorry

Labyrinth with modern lights and a friking camera?...

YET AGAIN, we jump from Fantasy Inn to Modern Building (same as earlier episode's Lift-up Walkway and modern clothings + modern lighting for that Idol concert)

At this point, why don't they just use Guns instead of swords? is there no guns with all these Modern tech buildings? (surely there must be Magic enhanced guns)

BTW, I still find it funny how some ppls here only noticed the Modern tech after 4 episodes...

___ ___ ___

Also, the Sword it self is future tech... "created by the Armory"...

And apparently even the sword felt betrayed for being kept in the warehouse (I wonder if items in Museums felt like this, LOL) (time to break out items from Museums and give them their Freedom, LOL)

Plus... I think the Labyrinth they're in is literally the Guild's Warehouse... so are they breaking and stealing Guild stuff?

Then Nick fell into the hole... which is literally filled with modern/ future tech walls and wiring... why is there no gun anywhere with all these modern tech? I want GUNS Kkona.

(not to mention Kizuna said it's waited for hundreds of years... so that means modern/ future tech went into a stand still and never progressed any further, not only that but it degressed backwards and into Fantasy/ Medieval era...)

(with only a few modern tech left in the cities such as building, lights and clothings...)

___ ___ ___

And the sword power is "FUSION" hehehe... interesting power there.

And the sword is a literal Plot Point... being it's power only works when 2 or more people "Trust/ Open up with" each other...

And the sword... can change it's own shape and turn into a little kid... huh...

So this mean during Fusion, it's a " 3P "

___ ___ ___

Meanwhile... they decide to spend their hard earn money on... Idol concert...

I thought the plot-focus was going to be on the development of the relationships between the four party members. A story about the hardships they face as they try to overcome their shared traumas.

Instead they suddenly started trusting each other, hurling away the heart of the plot, and did some Power Rangers merge shit with the power of justice and friendship.

how is nobody making a bigger deal about that modern facility they just "explored" in?

and uh, the sword's backstory about being locked in there by the guild? huh? that sounds kind of important. as does the fact that there's no way that guild lady didn't realize she was being bamboozled

It had a good story at the begin, but had some random shit at ep 3.
I thought ep 4. would be better, but the story just got worse...

Background story tells: 4 People had been betrayed by anyone and came randomly together.

But at ep 3: got to a bar everyone knew the party, without any context why tho.
ep 4: a "holty" sword game in the game that was op 2 people fuse into one duo to the sword caused it, so they would be stronger... after they fused back... 5s later the sword was a person without any context....

I mean like come on what is this...
