| This was probably the weakest episode of the show so far, but it absolutely still had its moments. Getting to see Futaba's childhood was a particular highlight, and seeing her grandfather somewhat bond with Takeda as they competed was nice as well. Akio Ootsuka really does a good job voicing grandfathers in anime, that's for sure. |
| To think a lot of the shenanigans that happened in this episode was thanks to Sakurai taking a picture of Takeda and Futaba, filtered with the outfits, before sending it to Futaba's grandpa before Futaba herself asked her not to. Thank you, Sakurai, for giving me and the other fans of this series even more entertainment for us to enjoy! ^_^ Either way, I really enjoyed the amount of times Gramps and Takeda tried to outdo each other before they finally gained the other's respect. We also got to see a flashback of when Futaba was growing up (she so damn cute here!!! X3) before she decided to live in Tokyo alone just before she started high school. No surprise that Futaba got the attention of 3 dead beat brats while she was waiting for Takeda, so it felt VERY satisfying that both Takeda and Gramps dealt with them with their muscular strength. Overall, this episode was more on the comedic side compared to previous episodes, but it was funny as hell and just as wholesome as ever. =) |
| How ironic that Futaba and Takeda have the same birthday. Anyway, Futaba's grandpa finally makes an appearance and sparks fly between Takeda and Futab's dotting grandpa. It suddenly turns into a competition as both of them keep meeting each other in different places. Seeing them at the batting range reminds me of when I played the batting cage mini game in Yakuza games. Takeda and Futab's grandpa are a lot more alike than they realize. I wasn't expecting a Your Name reference. |

| Another episode this week I just love to watch this on the mornings and start my day, Oh Futaba's granddad came into town that would be interesting to see, Even with the first impressions it's interesting already enough That was an unexpected Your Name reference, And the competition with her grandpa and Takeda was hilarious enough, Young Futaba days she's so damn cute even up today Short screentime with Sakurai and Kazama is good to see, Oh those three idiots think they're so tough and then Takeda and Grandpa showed up and traumatized them for life, I just love the chemistry of the two I would like to see them more in the future. |

| I don't even know what was more beautiful in this episode: the realization of two buffaloes that they might well be friends or a lot of shots with smol Futaba (smol Futaba ftw obviously). Damn, if it was necessary to revive the Soviet Union if it was better for Futaba, Ojii-chan would have a trick for that. What else can I add - love your loved ones! |

| This grandfather of Igarashi is very funny and cares a lot about her, besides having actions very similar to Takeda's. I hope he keeps appearing in the anime as he is such a great character. |

| Granddad was quite the dude lol. Pretty ripped for his age but it is prolly because he did such a good job protecting Futaba. Granddad and Takeda working things off out by the ends of things was quite wholesome too. Futaba is just special to all. Great episode |

| Grandpa is really overprotective and it does make sense. Takeda and grandpa had their own rivalry and looks like they became friends in the end. Grandpa really liked 'Your Name' as well. LMAO |

| This was a really fun episode. Grandpa is funny. I want more of him in future episodes. I only wish Sakurai, Kazama and Natsumi could have seen Grandpa and Takeda interact. They would've brought up how similar Takeda and Grandpa are. They say we look for traits we admire in our parents in future romantic partners. |

| LMAO, the gigachad grandpa is here to celebrate Futaba's birthday, but oh what a surprise it is for him to see his sweet little Futaba being with a big guy like Takeda. And thus... The unlikely rivalry between these two big dudes began. The montage of them competing in various activities was hilarious, oh but don't forget the part when grandpa watched Kimi no Na Wa and suspect that Futaba is a different person because of some mind transfer scenario lol. B eing the chad they are, they eventually resolved it in a productive manner. And boy what better way to fully be on good terms with one another than being a duo guardian for Futaba when she's being harassed by some no-named punks. RIP Bozo fobs. Rather charming backstory as well, Futaba is cute as always when she's a child. Though it saddens me to see how such a bright young gal seems to not be in contact with her parents. Are they deceased, divorced or overseas? Don't know but whatever the case, no wonder why her gradpa is so attached to her. He's the only parent figure left to care for Futaba. Well done on raising her to be who she is today gramps. |
