Why dont they condense boring chapters into 1 episode. Instead they're going to waste half the cour sitting around doing nothing. I love Tensura but its really pissing me off. I really had my hopes up for this cour but it seems like its going nowhere. Prediction for next episode more fu***** talking.

That meeting was so important that it took almost 2 episodes lmao
For sure this is the calm before the storm, so i'll wait xD

Do hope they attack Clayman before.

Didn't think the leaders' meeting would take almost 2 episodes to finish

I thought it was interesting at first but I couldn't help feeling like it was dragging on a bit too much this ep

I fucking love Ramiris, and she didn't even get to finish her warning lmao. Great episode!

"Ideals without power to back them are a joke, and power without ideals is just empty"
I love this line by Rimuru, it's such a good line. As expected of our Demon Lord, absolutely based. It took 2 episodes to finish the meeting, but it was definitely worth it, it's really solid setup. Grucius really gonna follow Youm and then swoop in when he dies lmao. Respect to Youm though, that was one menacing dwarven aura.

The artstyle in Clayman's scene was extra crisp, made the scene of him losing his cool all the more satisfying. You don't underestimate one of the strongest and oldest Demon Lords. Looking forward to the next episode.

A rather dull episode. Hoping it picks up from here.

I think I just compare this too much to the LN (or was it the WN) and I generally don't like how they deviate from it. I get that it's for greater mass appeal and all, I just cannot help but compare it and be mildly annoyed.

The title actually said Ramiris warning. But the whole episode was about the diplomatic talk, which is, ngl, make me laugh at the end of the episode. What the heck? Its just that? That little fairy even unconscious for the whole episode! Kek.

But, anyway, whatever the title decision to be that, Gobta-kun absolutely the highlight of this episode. Well, Veldora might be too. But, he was the mighty storm dragon. So, nope, just act as you pleased, Veldora, that's fine....

So that's it. They reestablished again the relationship, and more plan has been told, which is very nice building up before the main things. Clayman part also hold some intrigueing scenes. In the end, i might be feeling down through this episode due to whole lots of talk. But, its okay, they need to build up some moment first, right?

The cliff hanger from last episode and the episode title were both meaningless lol. But still a good episode I think. Made the world feel a lot more legit this time. Still kind of wished they would elaborate on a plan to fight clayman, but I’ll trust that it’ll be well thought out.

I gotta give it to this series, while this still wasn’t the most entertaining episode imo, it does manage to make an episode of nothing but discussion interesting, it went by fast lol. I will say one thing I loved about this episode is that it gave us cute Eren and Myulan moments, I love when the underrated Tensura waifus get some screen time. I’m also with some other people that the name of the episode shouldn’t have been “Ramiris’ Warning” because it does only happen in the first few minutes, and you don’t even get to hear her warning lol.

Diablo: so you have chosen death lmao

It's a great Diplomatic dialogue focus Episode but the Episode feels like just 10 minutes, and yet i still see people find it boring. lol

So sad to see people didn't appreciate the building up enough and just want weightless Action Fight.

Anyone know what Manga that Veldora reading?

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

A literally meeting for the entire episode. It’s tough to care about all the politics if I don’t care about the world, or even this series for that matter. They would have been better of just telling us what the nations agreed to and moving on instead of showing the whole thing. The fairy demon lord showed up for no reason too.

Uneventful?

In the last episode, we have finally see one of the main antagonist in the series. isnt that like, kinda important?

And in this episode Rimuru basically does what the Joker - the Dark Knight does,

"Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes Chaos...'

So its another huge shift for Rimuru as a character, its also forshadowed things that will keep happening from now on. An agent of Chaos has been born

I think it's odd how people try to defend these episodes. This episode was super lazy, there were only like 2 scenes in the entire thing... Did any of the characters even move? Everything, that has happened has been super predictable and could have been done in one episode. How many episodes in a row do they have to keep introducing Veldora to a new person for a reaction?

I'll finish watching this season because I'm this far in, but it better not have some lame-duck final battle like the first part of S2.
There's no need for all this tension.

the same thing happens in both manga and light novel counterpart, Soo why would they animate things that nonexistent in the source materials?

battle was never the focus of the story anyways,
have you watched season 1?
can you see that most of fights ended in a blink of an eye?
unless you just want to complain for the sake of complaining,
its kinda late for you to question it now lol

the funniest thing is people still say this episode is "boring" whilst the anime have skipped many details, they especially did ma boy beretta dirty again in this episode

there's a distinct difference between defending the nonexistent and simply stating the truth

I watched S1 and I remember it being much better than S2 (there are battles and he meets everyone, etc..). I don't care if it follows the LN or manga or not, I am watching the anime. If you think an episode of predictable dialog where nothing moves or even really advances the story is good then have at it. And yeah the whole way he killed everyone to become a Demon Lord was super lame and unfulfilling given the amount of build up it had, it's the blue balls of the anime world.
There's no need for all this tension.

@Majikkusesu

the fights in S1 are better than in S2?
Where did you get that impression?

- Rimuru eats Veldora
- Rimuru eats all monsters in the sealed cave
- Rimuru eats Ranga's daddy
- Rimuru eats Ifrit
- Rimuru eats, who else? he always eats everyone in less than seconds. did the battle even happen? lol

So you're saying its predictable(?) for Rimuru, a slime who's been established as a "kindhearted" (since episode 1) to massacre thousands of people for real? And on top of that, he even planned to instigate a civil war in a human nation you know

Rimuru is not a killer, he's someone who's born and lived in society ruled by laws for years, he's quite different compared to PAiN from Naruto, one amongst many shinobi/ninjas thats been established as a killer and obviously is used to kill people, or even thousands of people

So Idk what kind of "predictable" that you're referring to here, it makes no sense

Nothing that you are saying is convincing me or anyone else who thinks the pacing has become awful to change their minds. And yes, him killing everyone was predictable because he talked about it for like 5 episodes in a row, with literally no story advancements. The fact is the dumb pew pew lasers were just not a good or exciting enough action sequence to justify a 5 episode wait. People are capable of watching non-action focused anime, but these meetings are dry and uneventful, they are literally one scene with random close-ups and boring dialog that basically repeats stuff we already learned/knew.

lol from your POV as an audience yesh You already knew,

But most of the people in the meeting Havent yet to know about it ya know?

How could they understand anything iF Rimuru didnt mention a thing about it?

Thats why he told King Gazel, Fuze, the Elf guy and the other allies about his meeeting with Veldora, Fighting Hinata etc

Thats how interpersonal relationship works, Thats how humans understand each other. By talking

IF you think these dialogues are redundant, then you must be someone who can read minds or something. or myb you're someone who has Zero common sense, So you dont even know the importance of Communication truly is

What do you expect?
Rimuru dropping an exciting nuclear bomb in His own, Backyard? lol Nobody would be retarded enough to do that for the sake of some silly excitement

Cant you see how the orc lord/Geld and his men are still Repairing the road that gets destroyed in the battle VS Charybdis back in S1? It takes a lot of time and effort just to repair that shit alone

Nothing that you are saying is convincing me

Thanks for all these arguments, I'll start thinking the last three episodes of sitting around were excellent examples of an action and adventure anime.

1. We've known about him wanting to go after Clayman now since before S2 part 2 started.
2. It's taken at least 3 episodes for him to tell everyone his plan with nothing else of interest happening. There wasn't even a disagreement, misunderstanding, or any quality comedic happenings.
3. You thought laser deaths that looked like drunks passing out at a Laser Floyd show was awesome? Great, but I've seen a lot better action scenes in a lot of other anime. Contrast Slime's season ending battle to the one in Re:Zero, it's not even close (I picked this since aired the same season).
4. The irony of your last statement is strong; unfortunately, you probably don't understand why.

Pretty meh episode. The cover up story they've made is quite clever, lots of ways of keeping peaceful relations to neighbour kingdoms, while still being able to shove things under the carpet. Tempest establishment of a formal relationship with the Sorcerer's Dynasty Sarion, Rimuru's announcement of Youm as new king of Falmouth was funny, i'll give my guy Youm props, and get you some friends to back you up as well as Grucius and Mjurran.

Favourite moment this episode, had to be Laplace's talk with Clayman, and how he managed to get under his skin. Ngl really made me appreciate Laplace's a lot more, his character and, the Moderate Harlequin Alliance itself, i've always had mixed feelings about since they were first shown, they've always seemed to be directly linked to big events in season 1, however after thinking about it more, it feels like they were merely tools, with Clayman truly pulling the strings. After this episode, it's clear to me that Laplace dosen't seem to be affiliated with any singular person at all e.g. Clayman, and he seems to have his own plans, he's more of a mercenary or jack of all trades character. Thats why he was the last person i'd expect to get Clayman worked up, making it that much better.
Idk, might just be me and my liking to jack-of-all-trades esc characters.

Next episode hopefully get to see some action.

Also, here, have an image of smug Suphia. It's smug aura mocks me
