| Tohru running away from Kyo was already hilarious but I didn't expect to see her running away from Kyo in reverse lmao. See, I didn't like how rough Akito's change felt but I like her path of repentance and redemption. The second half was amazing. We finally got the full story of the original banquet, Akito's monologue and the goodbye showing how the curse of each member of the zodiac breaks. Sad to see how the original promise and bonds got twisted along the way and became a curse and a burden. I was already looking forward to seeing Yuki and Machi but after seeing the curse break for everyone but him, I'm even more looking forward to seeing them. I guess they will have their own scene like Kyo x Tohru and I can't wait! |
| Absolutely amazing episode, god, every part of this episode delivered so hard. Kyou and Tohru are finally together! Very emotional scene. It was also great to see the story of how the zodiac members became a thing, and how it finally came the time for the eternal bonds to break. I'm so satisfied with what happened, I guess next episode will be about Yuki and Machi, if it's as good as this episode the series really is gonna end in an outstanding way, 2 episodes left to see that. |

| Wow, cant believe that i somehow managed not to cry, so much emotions from this episode! KyoRu Ship finally sails and we get the origin of the promise. Only 2 episodes left, 2 episodes that will without a doubt be full of feels! |

| I'm not surprised by the poll above, with almost 97% at the time I type this post giving this episode a 5/5. That also includes mine, as this episode is probably the best of this entire series. Tohru's comedic timing with her running away from Kyo always gets me laughing, but Kyo was able to catch up to her without fail. Once he was able to talk to her at last, it led to an emotional scene between the two of them. Just seeing Tohru finally confess her feelings to Kyo, who in return pulls off a smile of perfection before they kiss got me blubbing like a baby. =') Thus led to Akito finally saying goodbye to everyone, which led to the curse from everyone else in the zodiac to be lifted. Ayame's scene was one personal highlight for me, as he immediately embraced Mine in his arms and confesses his love for her. The tale of God and how the original promise came to be went as I thought to would go. It's hard not to feel sorry for God, but the same went for the cat here, but in the end, the cat's wish did come true. =3 2 episodes left and the only zodiac member we didn't see who had their curse lift was Yuki, so I think that should happen in the next episode, hopefully. |
| As much as I loved this wonderful episode it's starting to dawn on me that three years of Fruits Basket are almost at an end. Guess it's time to take the words about eternity to heart... |

so far,this season has been beyond amazing,but this episode truly exceeded my biggest expectations:the perfect confession from both sides, the perfect kiss being executed better than I could even imagine and Kyo breaking the bracelet,sincerely apologizing,coming in terms with himself and expressing his love for Tohru so clearly that we had all been waiting for which,like every episode,brought tears to my eyes,and then the ancient story of the zodiac being narrated beautifully with the curse finally completely breaking,which means the circle of pain and suffering is finally over and our happy ending is coming nearer and nearer.I have no words,this episode filled me completely,not too much,not too little.If it was the finale I ngl would be craving for more since some ships havent sailed yet and the actual big conclusion with seeing everyone happy isnt here yet,im so excited on what the 2 final episodes will have to offer,but im sure that they will deliver and make all shorts of emotions flood inside me yet another time.This episode reminded me once more how happy I am with fruits basket being my favorite anime,easily the best episode in the series so far. |

This episode added in some content, shuffled around some scenes from the manga, and removed one major scene of note when adapting these chapters for this episode. Here were changes I took notice of in this episode. -The opening scene of Tohru’s departure from the hospital shown from her perspective and seeing Saki, Kyo and Arisa was added for the anime. -Some additional dialogue from Tohru and Kyo was added during Tohru’s flashbacks of her hospital meeting with Yuki and her earlier rejection from Kyo. -The birds flying away were added to the scene of Kyo and Tohru kissing. -Kyo’s flashback of first kissing Tohru when realizing she was unconscious when it happened was removed from the anime. -Instead of being all together as in the anime, the flashback depicting Akito’s hospital visit was split apart in the manga with the final sentence of Tohru’s admission to Akito and Akito’s reaction to it not revealed until later in the chapter. -The story told about the original God and animals of the curse originally took place in Chapter 131 after the curse was totally broken in Chapter 130. -Kyo tearing away his prayer beads as the Sohma curse became broken was shown before showing the reactions of the other cursed Sohma being freed in the manga. -The anime skipped over Yuki and Machi’s meeting with each other in Chapters 130 and 131. Leading up to this, it was implied that Yuki intended to reveal his curse to her before realizing he was the last freed from the curse. No longer having to worry about it, Yuki proceeds to hug a surprised Machi where he admits he originally meant to tell her about something else, but admitted this was enough for now. Machi then asks if she can call Yuki by his first name and he lets her do so a few times, before kissing her and saying that Machi can say his name as many times as she wants from now on. -During Kyo and Tohru’s visit to Kazuma’s house, Haru had appeared from behind Tohru in the manga instead of from outside the house. -The circumstances that led to Akito’s surprise embrace of Tohru differed between the anime and manga. In the manga, Akito was present in a room at Kazuma’s house that he brought her and Kyo to. In the anime, Hatori had driven up in a car to bring Kyo and Tohru to see Akito waiting at the main Sohma house. |
| Tohru saying "I love you" hits different... This was a truly heartfelt resolution to one of the shows I fell in love with, a franchise I just started to wet my feet with the shoujo genre. Turns out that it might be the best... The tale of God was reminiscent of the themes of bond, which can be the sweetest and also the deadliest. We might have only the epilogue left, but two episodes ain't no joke. Did I hear Kamiya Hiroshi at the end? |

| I cannot describe how beautiful and perfect this episode is! I genuinely loved this episode so much and it is definitely one of my favorite episodes and I've watched this episode a couple of times and I never got bored of it! I really loved the chapters in this episode since they were my some of my favorite in the manga! I've waited for years for this to be adapted and they didn't even fail to make this perfect! This was so beautiful and really emotional ride and I would def give this episode a 5/5! I swear Tohru and Kyos moment never fails to make me cry since now I can say ''It made me cry both in the manga and anime.'' Overall this was such a beautiful episode and everything was done so perfectly and the touching moments were done so well and I cannot stop thinking about them now! | Phenomenal once again. Emotions ran high again, just like the weeks before. I feel like I am repeating myself a lot here! Week after week, I simply have fewer words to describe what this final season does to me. Akito saying goodbye to all the bonds of the Zodiac was powerful, the emotions from Tohru and Kyo realizing that they can hug each other freely, to Ayame confessing to Mine. That origin story was so damn well done, told us in a great way about why the cat was disliked among the Zodiac. It was something I wanted an answer to for so long. |

| Powerful episode, right from the start the emotions shake me, made me happy with the love declaration of Kyo and Tohru. I teared up with the tale of the banquet of God and the zodiacs. And the bond between them is gone, the rest who still was attached to Akito now are free, Akito made the right decision although a bit late. Loved the narration by Hiroshi Kamiya. So far best episode of the season, and maybe for the entire furuba series. |

| Even Akito managed to redeem herself, in the end, and do the right thing. It was certainly interesting to see the true origin story, and how it had been twisted around. Seems the Cat had the right of it all along. (I do hope to see some reason as to why the Cat, alone, has that grotesque "secondary" transformation--it rather seems like they brought that up and then never returned to explain it at all.) The Kyo/Tohru scene was as beautiful as expected, but Ayame and Mine's really made my heart melt. You could tell that the both of them had been waiting a very long time for that. |

| Leaning on this being the best episode of the series, the story of how the zodiac curse started held alot of thematic and emotional weight being placed here at the end of the conflict and I'm glad they didn't show it any earlier. Its a nice closing message for the series about death and the importance of cherishing whats there as nothing will be forever. I kind of wish Akito was better handled though, she sort of just changes personalities too fast and I feel like a easy way to fix that was her breaking the curse coming at some sort of actual cost/sacrifice on her part, not her like dying or some shit but I dunno maybe her leaving the soma estate and cutting ties being what trigger the end of the curse could of gone a long way to make this easier to swallow. |

| the origin story of the bonds between god and the zodiac animals touched me in a place i'm not ready to be touched yet lol don't really wanna think about the importance of death and letting go at the moment BUT i know how important that is, and i love that fruits basket went there. it's one of those shows that induce personal and emotional growth, isn't it? definitely one of my favorite animes of all time! |

It is just explained by shigure that the zodiacs turn into "watered down" versions of the og animals which is true. hatori doesn't turn into an actual dragon,kureno's form is a small bird not a rooster, kagura turns into a small boar etc |
| What an absolute masterpiece this show is, damn. Totally gave me Clannad vibes. It deserves all the praises it gets. Story could have ended here and now and it would be cool, but still two more episodes. |

| So excited that this is almost over. At this point the only reason I’m watching is so that I can say I did, and because the end is so near. It was nice to see the curses break, although I still have no idea how it happened (nor do I really care). Only a few episodes left. |

| Finally, Kyo is honest with his feelings; super cute interaction with Kyo and Tohru <3. This also leads to Kyo realizing he is broken from the curse which was also so well done. I really liked the Zodiac backstory and how all the present Zodiac members were dealing with their eternal bond breaking. I also love how Akito wasn't bitter about it happening, seen previously, but she was accepting of the inevitable and looked forward. Kyo breaking his bracelet also so good :)))). The after-credit scenes paints the god as a decent person, and he leaves some parting words saying that at the time these bonds were happy, but through time it became a burden to those that had it. |

| I thought I was done, I honestly thought I was done FUCKING crying in this episode when they talked about the story...then Kyo breaks his wristband...okay...they flowing slightly again...THEN ALL THE CONFESSIONS...THEY STREAMING...okay good the credit are rolling...we good... They go see Kazuma aka Shisho...bro...I didnt think my eyes had any tears left...they fucking did. What a brilliant...sheer brilliant episode...im still crying. |

| I have nothing else to say except for holy fuck! This episode has left me speechless and in tears, the first time in a while an anime has done that to me. Everything that this series has been building up to has come down to this episode, and it has been executed perfectly. This is a masterpiece episode, probably the best in the entire series. This has done enough to bump this up to a 10/10. |
