The disastrous scene is about to begin.

Junpei now taking a revenge on his mom, I would do the same if that were to happen to me as well, I feel bad for Junpei something will happen next episode and it's gonna be sad

This show is so fucking good, I love it! See? You just need to meet the right person, so your whole hatred stems from a bad chain of unfortunate happenings. I love how Yuuji isn't blatantly a white-knight, he feels like an actual person - remember his speech about killing another person? That's a good view on it, not ad-nauseam and boring "killing humans is bad!" Those dum' curses though, they ruined Junpei unfortunately.. I have a feeling he'll die. I also have a premonition that the next episode is gonna be rather gruesome, so errr...

I was so hyped for Kento's overtime...I was disappointed it was so short...

Junpei's mother died?!? NOOOOOOO...She was one fine women...*sadness*

Well Junpei will now be going on to get revenge! Seems like a big fight will break out next episode between Yuuji and Junpei...maybe...

Good episode :)

Yeah honestly the Nanami scene was cooler in the manga. Still a good scene in the anime, just lost some feeling.

- 11:05 NANAMI : We need to exorcise him as soon as possible, before it's too late.

- 13:48 YUUJI : If i killed anyone, the option of killing would force its way into my life. The value of life would become ambiguous.., i wouldn't even understand the importance of those i care about anymore.

- 14:15 JUNPEI : If killing someone would mean tainting my soul... then i can't kill anyone.

- 20:02 MAHITO : i'm sure it'll be fun... watching foolish kids die.

So NANAMI deduced "That cursed spirit (MAHITO) is a child. It probably hasn't been very long since he sprang into being."

Manga readers are saying that the anime adapted exactly how the manga did it. They pointed out that these current chapters adapted moved at really fast pace and that Mappa actually added some scenes to expand upon so it won’t feel too fast.

Nanami is so OP, luckily he decided to retreat before he is injured badly.
When I thought Nanami could get killed in this episode, someone else get killed. Too bad Junpei mom killed so early...
Itadori friends survived from the cursed but not Junpei mother, she is a great mother...

Wonder how Itadori is going to save Junpei from falling into the dark side.

The interactions of Itadori, Junpei, and Junpei's mother were very good, a pity what happened to Junpei's mother, was very abrupt. And things got tense in the end, Junpei ended up being influenced and could end up doing a massacre at his school.

Rip Yoshino's mom, didn't thought she would die with that haircut.

This episode was darker than usual, hoping it goes even more darker in the future. And certainly, the second half felt a bit rushed but people are saying it was same in the manga so can't complain about that I'm adaptation

By naiveness... do you mean Yuji's refusal to kill another human? If so, I don't see how that is naive.

the one who killed his mom is a random curse spirit attracted to Sukuna's finger which was left there by Mahito and Getou. So Junpei should be aiming his hatred at them, not the bully at school. And since it's impossible for Junpei to kill Mahito and Getou, your first wish won't come true. And in this situation, it won't be "revenge=bad", it's more "targeting the wrong person=bad", so your 2nd wish won't come true either.

Yuji and Junpei's friendship is Top-tier!
Junpei's mom says that school is an aquarium and he needs to find other good aquariums etc, so maybe that's why Junpei is shown in such a way in the opening. Maybe that fish on the train is Junpei too.
Ah man, the mother...

Junpei has had enough now. We are finally getting towards the end of this arc (vs Mahito arc). With this episode, the anime has completely adapted up to Vol 3 of the manga. I'm really excited for next episode! I know what is coming.

Nanami is really OP if he just wasn't limiting his cursed power, damn it plot. Well Mahito seems to be unstoppable unless his soul shatters. We also see Getou this episode watching from the sidelines.

Yuuji and Junpei are having some nice chemistry, they really love their movies. Also Junpei acting disappointed when he saw her mother smoke is the same as how I feel for my parents (take it from me, it sucks sometimes). And the mother is really nice to be with...until disaster happens. I was so shocked on how the mother died, she was such a good character to watch and JJK took her instantly. What's more sad is that this is how Junpei will turn into the dark side, Mahito playing him really hard bro.

Next week should be the climax of JJK's first half as Junpei is throwing his anger to the (despicable rotten) school. Yuuji crashes into the school and I knew instantly that Junpei wants him out of the scene. It seems next week we're gonna have Yuuji vs Junpei fight as they are now rifted by their ideologies.

Damn, this ep was kinda hard to watch and I can't see getting it any better since if everything goes according to Mahito's plans, we're going to see Yuuji and Junpei clash next ep.

Now that we know though that Mahito orchestrated all this just to get Yuuji to make a pact with Sukuna where he comes out on top, I guess we can say that at least not everything will go according to his plans since the two of them already have made a pact together albeit Yuuji remembers none of that.

Another trashy episode.
>Nanami explaining his powers to the enemy for no reason other than exposition for the viewers.
>Nanami not killing his opponent after having the upper hand.
>Mahito explaining his power to the Getou guy. Same shit as Nanami.
>Cheesy and cringey moments between Yuji, Junpei and the mother.
>The mother being nothing more than being a plot device to further Junpei's descent into darkness.
>Cringey philosophy and psuedo-intellectual bullshit about not killing by Yuji-sama.
>Events happening one after another with no coherence among them.
>The story elements not given enough time/ not fleshed out enough for the viewer to care.
>Kind of a personal opinion but the fight choreography is complete shit this episode as well. Not a single fight after the Sukuna vs Curse womb has came close it. Be it choreography, the impact of the blows, camera work, etc.

It's a pact. If you do something under a condition it gives a power up in certain ways. It's like the chain jail from Kurapika in Hunter x Hunter. Pacts just arent explained in detail yet but their existence were mentioned numerous times so far.

He literally used his last amount of energy for that final attack while being seriously injured. Also his opponent is basicly immortal so escape was his best option. Do u even read the subtitles? It's a genuine question.

Alpha_Druid said:

That was in previous episode. He is basicly a child and chatty so it isn't really wallbreaking that he talks much? Also explaining power things have been normalized in any shounen for a long time.

the artistic section is getting worse and worse it's as if they really didn't work in the slightest.

And what happened towards the end of the episode. Did they forget that the Junpei blows had to convey anger and rage the only thing I felt when seeing those blows was sleepy. they even omitted the detail of how the eye of the bully got infected.

the worst thing is that they had the time to make an unnecessary shot at Mahito's feet and a close shot yeah Dude because that's what people want to see

- The "explaining your techniques gives you an upper hand" has already been told by Nanami. Even Mahito understood that. Episode 9.
- Nanamin decided not to use his techniques on Mahito because the latter's Idle Transfiguration is a bad match up for them + he's tired and injured and just one-two more touches from Mahito would kill him. Episode 10.
- Mahito's "immortal" because he himself said it's not healing - he strongly maintains the shape of his own soul. And yeah, bad match up. Episode 10.

I'm picky only because the exposition broke the immersion. Normally, I overlook such trivial stuff because other things are good enough.

I don't see no reason to believe that how explaining powers to the opponent makes you stronger? When was it previously established that one can do that? He made a pact with whom? Apparently, now anyone can have any power that is needed for the plot. Much like the shit pulled in HxH. Sorry, I side tracked a bit, but it seems a new problem has been uncovered due to that.

What reason does Nanami has to believe what his opponent says, like when Mahito says he's immortal? So Nanami was tired but still gave it all for a non fatal blow? Why would he do that?
Almost as if the author doesn't want to kill Mahito yet. Basically, blatant plot armor.

You don't address my other points because you don't have an answer to them. So you resort to ad hominem.
