An ex-Lord who still loves his both Parent even though he has an unlimited power to conquer the world. True Gentleman right there, respect.

Also respect to the club member. They are not just another annoying cult member, they are the one who will to sacrifice for what they believe and for the precious one.

A satisfying moment to see Emilia tortured by Anos, yes that racist woman deserved that. But, one little question.... why she looks cuter in her new form ? I mean, the brown-haired looks cute than her purple-haired one. Anos-sama, wamt to explain ?

I like this plotline that gave the members of the Fan Union a second chance to join Anos' subjects.
Their loyalty was genuine as they risked their lives to protect Anos's mom. Besides, they did it without taking orders and expecting anything in return.
At first glance, this looks like a silly harem anime, but it's surprisingly sensible.

scene with the fanclub is the best thing i've seen in this show it actually gave these background characters some importance to the main character and showed their actual conviction towards the "demon lord" wasn't all for show since they could've just ran away ,now will they continue to be anything more than just a fanclub who knows they got names now.

er...that Emilia torture was something she had it coming but i'm glad it was short had to skip over it in the end she got something far worse than death in the mindset of purebloods in the in Anos so far has kill people in the name of changing for the better so we'll see.

though the insane amount of pride and arrogance from pureblood's is laughable at this point and i won't lie i really didn't think she was gonna continue to target him after all the stuff hes done

this show has gone from being pure shit to shit with some small bits of redeeming qualities unlike something like hx eros which is just pure shit

This show knows what it's fucking doing and I am loving it. I have a new found respect for the fan club, their names deserves to be remembered. Wanna know who also deserved something Emilia, she deserves that punishment and I wonder if that will change her eventually or not.

Another really solid episode, I hope we get some sakuga for the Anos And Lay fight.

It must be more satisfying to watched if Anos-sama just kill that shitty sensei. She was truly cruel more than the demon king cruelty. However, since he just wanted to add more girl into his harem, - and too kind-, the condition felt really understandable. Holy shit! Sasuga, Anos-sama! His mind never easy to be expected. Together with his magic, together with his taste, together with his intentions ....

Okay. Despite that shame event, let just move to the second sword battle, Lay versus Anos-sama! Lets hope its not just a 1 min marks battling full of shame again!

I particularly loved Anos' moment of rage and his furious "Did you actually dare to hurt my mom?!" look (even though he knows her only a couple of months lol). We have seen him display his immense power multiple times but he was always calm or was smiling. This time however he was nearly lost in pure raw rage!

The Anos fan club earnt my admiration and respect big time (despite that I don't think I can remember all their names..). Few people put their lives on the line for the person they believe in. The scene with Lay's mom was also very touching. I can't wait for the duel of Anos and Lay in the next episode! I strongly suspect their duel will last quite more than 1 minute..

What great loyal girls. Thank you for protecting Okaa-sama. No one shall hurt the cute and lovely Okaa-sama.

How chad can Anos get? He killed her teacher then got reborn by him and put a curse so she can always suffer being a Hybrid. Hope she learns from her mistakes. Even I'm not evil that I'll kill someone like her.

This is the power fantasy dream I've been looking for.

The song the fan club made was uh. I muted my volume but it’s the thought that matters. Anos back at it again being in creative mode and making the teacher a hybrid for the rest of their lives. Sorry if the rules of the tournament said they were only allowed 1 sword, but do they genuinely think taking a sword away from Anos is gonna do anything?

The characters are still clichés, story is subpar at best but hey we’re probably gonna get a pretty nice over the top fighting scene next episode probably also can someone explain to me try the royalists hate hybrids so much? There’s no real incentive to segregate these races at all.

This episode shows exactly why I love Dark anti-heroes/Anti-villains much more than the normal ones now.
Cause most "goody-two-shoes" ones will let horrible people like Emilia get away with their atrocities just cause their a woman or something lame like that, but badass one like Anos actually gives them the punishment they deserve.
I really hate when horrible characters get away with awful things just cause the MC is too pure to get revenge. This is the type of MC I enjoy the most now.

Anos-sama's fan club is really something else. Loved that little song/chant they made for him. And oh boy, they sacrificed themselves for his Mom, such loyalty.

I hope Lay's mother will survive from her sickness. I think our overpowered MC can do something about it in the next episode.

Overall, a fun episode. Idk why but the jokes never gets old for me. I think its pretty entertaining and refreshing.

The song in the beginning... but at least they compensate with saving his mother. And it's still annoying that all women are incompetent (even if are strong-willed), even Misha and Sasha (who is gone), really pale versus the guys.

They'd put all lame fanservice and make Anos feel less OP, and all will be good.

Because they were raised that way.
Imagine that your government decides that oranges are now green (this is exaggerated example). It will be stupid for you, your kids and maybe your grandchildren but with each generation more people will believe it and eventually "oranges are green" will be commonly accepted "truth".
If you want more "grounded" example then read up how Hitler used propaganda to make the entire nation believe that Jews are evil-incarnate.

Royalty is this series works in similar way. They can't even imagine lowly person having that power so they will deny it even if they'll see it with their own eyes. They simply can't comprehend it with their minds.

I liked that backstory of Ray and her mother, we really get to know them better.
From how much anime I've watched till now, that's sacrifice of Ray just to save her mother leaving everyone behind even if he wanted to support/he's not against Unitarians was kinda meh to me. I think that type of matter gotten common to me.

That shitty racist teacher killing her students especially Anos fanclub members? Hell nah, I was so glad of how Anos handled her killing her in vain and reincarnating her as a hybrid that was badass. Honestly that's my type of satisfactory revenging and getting what the shitty character deserved.

I cant wait for the next episode. i hOPe Anos wInS.

He is really not. Emilia, as was already shown, would prefer to die than live as a "hybrid". She really thinks hybrids are lower than insects, expendable trash for Royals to do with as they wish without any consequences - apparently even if the "hybrids" are her own students. She is that biased and prejudiced against them.

Anos is fully aware of that so what would be a better punishment for her than to turn her into an eternally resurrecting hybrid? It's actually both a punishment and a chance for her to reform her views when she saw the world from the point of view of a hybrid; and also when she became the target of prejudice and abuse. It is only up to Emilia though whether she accepts this as a punishment or a chance to reform. I would suspect that it will be punishment first - reform later.

@TsuzukuHunter2nd

I hope she join Unitarians and Anos funclub because she don't have any good alternative xD
Especially since (for now) only she and Anos know that she is a hybrid now.
Something like:
Misa: "Hey everyone! New person joined ours club, welcome everyone Emilia!"
rest: "Hi! [whispers] Emilia? just like ours ex-teacher? Yeah, Anos-sama never told us what happened to her, did he killed her or something? ... Her family removed her name from their records. ... weird"
Emilia: [awkwardly] "Hello there"
Misha: "I hope we will spent great time"
Anos: [with a smirk] "You couldn't live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me."
Emilia: Anos-SAMA!!

@Thaeril @Sinbad200

I don't think that they don't want to acknowledge/see his power but they are fearing "change" that he as a hybrid represent. Just imagine that there would be candidate for president with multiple doctorates from various and respected fields, technically perfect candidate? but what if that person was also homosexual and vocally support LGBT community? then many people even seeing this person achievements still wouldn't want him to become president because of the change that he could bring.

This was a good episode. I mean, nothing interesting is happening on the whole. The real conflict will not be with the pure blood demons but whoever changed history and is intent on dethroning Anos.

What makes this series somewhat refreshing is that Anos walks a fine balance. He's insanely OP. But he isn't a doormat, nor does he engage in gratuitous cruelty. He certainly kicks the shit out of anyone who dares to cross him, but hasn't killed anyone who's crossed him so far either. Emilia's a good example. Instead of killing her which he had all (moral) right to do, he turns her into a half-blood so she can understand the stupidity of her own prejudices. It's frankly a great solution--not that it's a difficult one--and it's the kind of originality you don't see with a lot of other Gary Stu series.

i dont know man, if someone told me oranges are green then i saw with my own two eyes an orange one then ill update my knowledge that oranges can both be green and orange colored. if someone told me jews were evil and one of them saved me or someone important to me from danger more than once then i wouldnt see them as evil after all that.

the thing is they have the evidence right in front of their eyes and anos proved them time and time again that he is nowhere just a lowly demon yet they still insist that he is lol

I need some help understanding the episode. Especially to those who've read manga/novel.

Can someone tell me why the twins are missing most of the episode? I was hoping Sasha/Misha will be the one to rescue Anos' mother.

And also if someone can explain the source, rumours, tradition because I don't understand what 'sickness' the other mother has at all. I'm imagining something like this, youkai that gets stronger as more people acknowledge it hence 'rumours' (like in Kyokou Suiri). But the way Anos is curing her isn't by telling everyone she exists or whatever.
All men, kings or peasants, die equally.

now lets go to positive one-- those Anos cult or fans club even have some song dedicated to him... hahaha... and those 8 girls who risk their life protecting the mother of anos amidst the fact that they are no match to ms emilia is a great one... yeah...

I'm highly disappointed in this anime adaptation.
The novel did such a wonderful job for me. But the anime skipped so many damn details.

Like... they failed to mention how Anos is using a NORMAL SWORD with SLIGHTLY better materials than an average sword.

How he is reinforcing his NORMAL sword with his MAGIC and how it's against the rules. But he is CONCEALING his magic with another spell that consumes TONS of magical power. He has been using it constantly (since he can't reinforce his sword and hide it in an instant during a fight and with prying eyes. The royalist have dozens of people trying to detect Anos cheating with magic)

Also they completely butchered the Emilia torture scene... it got shortened to 5 seconds...

She was actually VERY resistent to any torture Anos gave her until he pulled a "prank" on her. A very brutal torture i would say. But they ruined her character by making her give in with just 1 little stab and 5 seconds of persuasion...

At least they included enough hints to tell the audience how Lay's mother can be saved...

I read the novel after watching the anime.
Understand the frustration of fans of the novel from before, but I think this adaptation is a pretty accurate summary. If anything, the pacing is an improvement.
For only 13 episodes, Silverlink is doing a really good job.
I bet the novel will sell a lot more after the anime airs. Expect the second season to have 26 episodes.

I'm not expecting a second season.

I don't even know why i'm still watching the series lol. Maybe because i wanna see the 3rd volume's arc.

I find the anime has been butchering this series.

Something feels missing in every episode... and the "climatic" battle at the end of volume 1 (last arc) felt lacking somehow... idk it's the flow of the episode or the music... but something is off nearly every episode.

Well the novel had a longer torture scene, and Emilia resisted until the end when Anos lies a bit to her.

Finally convincing her to beg for her life. Which Anos then denies and drowns her in despair before he kills her and does the rest of the scene.

It really showed me how strong her personality and hatred was. Not that shallow little poke and 2 seconds of persuasion to beg for her life...

If you're interested in the original torture scene it starts at the beginning of chapter 57.

Anos is literally amazing like my favorite part is him turning his teacher into a hybrid so she can feel the discrimination. It's like turning racists into the race they hate or turning homophobes gay, HILARIOUS. I love that kind of petty payback.
I wonder why Misa told Lay that Anos didn't know about this and Lay stop her. Also, his mom is the sweetest.
I hope Lay had a change of heart in the end.

Expect the second season to have 26 episodes.

nah there is 0% chance for a 26 episode season 2. Heck we are unlikely to even get a season 2
