| Good backstory for Houzuki. Felt bad for her. But the 2nd half with Kurusu? WTF did I just watch? Kurusu is like a stereotypical shonen villain. "I must prove that all friendships are weak!!!" This show and the characters are a lot better than that. Odd. |
| It's funny that Kurusu went that way with her traumatic experience, rather than deciding to always be nice to people and to be honest or something, and on top of that she always wondered what made her untrustworthy to her past friends, yet she's starting off her new experiences with a new friend group by lying to them and manipulating them, then admitting it. Pretty much she is extremely stupid which was obvious anyway lol |

| Better than the previous episode. Houzuki's past was interesting to watch, it makes her attitude during the first episodes more understandable and I can say I feel bad for her for having such a pathetic mother... being jealous of your own child's skills, really? I guess her love for her daughter wasn't as big as expected. Hiro, on the other hand... I was expecting a better reason for her behaviour but she ended up just being a girl with a pretty weak mindset. Disappointing if I'm honest but at least, I'm glad Kurata showed some presence in a conflict for once. As a whole and leaving poor reasons for being a bitch aside, I liked how the drama in this episode was handled. I hope the execution stays this way in the next episodes. |
| Wonderfully episode! We finally got to see Houzuki’s past and it totally delivered! Chika even fell to tears despite being in the dark over her state and yet her mother failed to comprehend that. Yikes, strong Shigatsu Kimi no Uso right here! Feel bad for the mother too (and screw the one-dimensional people) but she was clearly letting her inferiority and stress take the better of her so I think it’s good they parted ways. But excommunicated (xD at those boys’ blank reaction though) is .. jeez. Some great Houzuki x Chika moments this episode too! But, that aside, it was nice to know exactly why she joined the koto club of this particular high school! About Hiro-senpai though, not really much to say on this front. She’s had it tough too and seeing Houzuki relate with her with that stunning depiction for a second was touching and all but I can’t really open up to her completely just yet. She’s got a lot of catching up to do if she wants to get on my good side. All those murmurs and sneaky plans, definitely not a fan of this archetype. I’m so glad the President gave her a piece of his mind there, “You have a lot of time on your hands” and lol @ Chika’s apology. I can see why the Club opened wide arms for her again due to different difficult past circumstances and whatnot but there’s got to be at least some sort of a punishment or something, right? That aside, looks like we’ll be encountering that useless Koto advisor again. I’m sure there’s a tough past for him too but I really can’t see myself opening up to him either. But I suppose only time will tell. |

| Don't know but I feel like the first part is just a ripoff from , but still was enjoyable especially Chika cooking for Satowa. Second part was interesting to see Kurusu acting all like that. |

| Houzuki's mom is a bitch. She and Ayano's mom from Hanebado! make me angry. I don't feel bad for Kurusu. She became what that former friend was. Her past doesnt justify her actions and being hurt doesn't give you the right to hurt people. 2.5/5 |

| Satowa's past really explains on why she is so cold and antisocial even if she doesn't mean it I ship Kudo and Satowa I'm not that fond of Kuruse, her reasoning was pretty weak, just because someone else did it too her she does it to others...at least the cycle of hate has stopped I hope |

| I don't know how I feel about the development so far.. every melodrama seems to have stemmed from people being a total dick for no reason at all.. and Hiro being redeemed this easily.. like yeah I sympathize with your past but come on, what you just attempted couldn't and shouldn't be forgiven this easily. I guess, thank god the club members are all stupid. |

| Very good episode, it was focused on both girls backstories, it was really interesting, so now I understand why Hozuki was acting like this, I think she can become a good person now, but she with always have doubt on people unfortunately. |

| this is ridiculous, satowa told senpai from the beginning that she's joining the club to make a name for herself by winning some big competition, a manga-like story where the main girl raises from 0 to hero. And now what is supposed to be that major in her joining the club? so she was excommunicated, so what, everyone has family issues. Why would someone hate her for that? I am a sucker for drama but man, this was forced, and I'm supposed to feel sorry for that broad because she had bad experiences with boys and her girl friends? Like senpai said "you sure have a lot of free time". But no worries, everyone forgives her, I'm not saying she should be stoned to death but a longer period would go better. So we had the delinquents, the angry teacher plot to ruin the club, the rival girl, now what? the advisor who doesn't like music, I bet he'll be reformed and he'll transform into the best music teacher ever. Give me the drama!!! |

| Was obvious from the beginning that Satowa has some family issues, so her being quiet about it is understandable, don't know what Senpai was expecting from other club members, why will they'd get mad or lose trust in her. It isn't even there place to say something and if they wanted us to pity Senpai after her way too emotional backstory, then I'm not sure what to say here. |

| That was a lot of drama for one episode but it was a good one in the end. Houzuki's past is more or less what I was expecting, but it's still a good backstory. I don't know if I still hate or like Kurusu. Despite all she did, her past is actually interesting because of how common such things happen between people, but not all friendships are fake. Also Chika is just the best, lol. I loved how serious Takezou was this episode. The preview for the next episode is so interesting, it feels like Takezou's problem isn't as shallow as I thought. |
