Ok so Don and Gilda finally found out the truth about Mom, then again Mom, may have felt that her key was knicked from her, Oh boy , I still would no trust Ray.

But , since sister korne knew everything already, it all depends now on Norma if he can use that as an advantage.

This anime nailed the music just right again.
I'm watching anime since 2012. I also play games, sometimes.

Don't bother me if you want to 'become friends' or things like that.
It's tiresome. I know you just want to collect some meaningless numbers.

Really tense episode once more!

Preparations are progressing smoothly, until Krone found out about who knows about the farm and offers them to join forces. Not sure if she's to be trusted. I do wonder what will happen from here on out though!

Dropped my score to a 7. Its not this episode specifically but its getting a bit boring, with cliffhanger endings, still ugly art and just not the same feeling to it as the first episode had.

I am disappointed. I hope it gets better fast.

this actually made me like Don because being angry that such a big secret was kept from you, crying, then having the maturity to apologize is a totally normal response from an 11 year old discovering something like that.

I love how the jumpscares in this anime really work on me (a)

However I'm bothered by a detail
Some characters are often speaking loud or even shouting, but apparently noone hear them ?

I mean, Don literally screamed at Ray and Norman, and then they all went outside with the light on, right in front of the house
I'm wondering how they're not spotted (well, Sister Krone caught them so that's a bit logical at least)

Yes, exactly this.

I understand that it's a bit frustrating for a lot of people that Don took a really stupid risk, and then couldn't handle the results. Still, anger and sadness followed by acceptance are a totally normal response for anyone, eleven years old or not.

Really thought they would discover the owl image somewhere in the Mom's room. They would fight together like they did today and then Don would reveal about the owl, the same as in the book.
But i guess they used Phil who would be later an important character (given how he has 170 favorites, despite being only manga character so far)

The plot twist with Ray revealing that he is the next shipment was.... Damn, poor Ray :< it makes his ... sacrifice? commitment? ... even more incredible. Knowing how he can't escape with them, but at least .... i'll let my friends escape ><

I was wondering what's sister Krone's motives to align with the children; then I realized that she has been plotting to discredit and overthrow mom since she arrived. What better way to destroy mom's reputation and take her position than to lose the entire livestock of the farm?

there are times with the camera angle and perspective in a distance like someone is watching and hiding. Those are the scenes that keeps bothering me, but now I know its Sister's perspective.

I was kind of surprised with Don's emotion in this episode, which was a bit different from the manga. (I thought it was a bit exaggerated) However another good episode I hope they don't make the pace any faster.

It was a good episode although I felt it was a bit sudden when Emma out of nowhere started explaining about the mystery surrounding Minerva's books and stuff but it wasn't that serious so it's fine.

Also, sister Krone asking for an alliance was quite predictable since she wants Mama's place but it doesn't take away the fact that I'm really curious about what might be the possible outcomes of it. And not to mention that having Krone by their side will definitely give those kids a great advantage against Mama.

That said, I'm really looking forward to the next episode.

I think that was sort of a reminder that Ray insisted on Norman abandoning the kids just before they escape, Emma mentioned escaping together because she isn't aware of the deal between Norman and Ray. I'm actually interesting in what Norman decides to do about this. It doesn't seem like he intends on leaving anyone behind, but Ray is a big obstacle to get past.

Fantastic episode, this one was extremely well done.

Absolutely loved how they showcased the entire Don/Gilda thing while simultaneously showing the William Minerva stuff.

The scene in the dining room with Don's outburst and his eventual break down outside was very compelling. I definitely don't remember feeling as emotional as I did when reading. Soundtrack was absolutely top notch here.

Them Sister Krone dances though. xD
Looking forward to next week.

I criticzed this adaption a lot for its lazy adaption that completely fails at capturing the intensity and passion that the manga delivered. However for this episode I'm holding myself back. This one had fantastic direction, not much I could complain about. The director is fairly inexperienced after all. Maybe he's finally starting to feel comfortable and is going to keep this up.

The next episode should be when things got interesting for me in the manga.

Same here, there's not many things to criticize here other than nitpicks.

Hopefully they will finally start adapting properly from this point on (I understand they want to reach chapter 37 or so for a good reason, but I would rather have this going with a much slower pacing in 2 cours to pay off the manga's espectacular execution while covering the same ground, instead of rushing through the scenes with this kind of bad presentation, even when adapting a lesser number of chapters).

This anime, like the manga, would work much better as a slow burner.
This episode however, managed to do some interesting improvements compared to what we got thus far, and I hope for more of these, especially now that they can probably go with a more stable pace towards the end of the first arc... I think.

Actually felt some tension as Don and Gilda creeped through those rooms. I get the feeling this William fellow will be an important character later on that will provide some guidance. Kinda like John Titor.

As for Krone. I'm not 100% convinced she won't help the kids since she hates mom herself. Not really sure.

First off the name strikes me as strange. Minerva is the greek goddess of wisdom so you could guess the name is fake. Now something weird about fake author names is that many novels written for women are written by men with female fake names. So maybe if that person does not want to get caught it would do the same. The circle means oroborus i.e. the theory events repeat themselves and the word promise made me think of Emma and her promise to save everyone. So it made me suspect that Mom was like Ema but in the attempt most kids were caught. So she adopted something similar to Ray's stance i.e. is ok if some die if others can survive and help mount a rebelion in the future. It is clear she deeply cares for the kids and cries inside for every one as she keeps their toys s funeral plaques. Also is interesting that as she says she tries to stop them she does not really do much for this rather she seems to make mistakes to help them. I am guessing she wants them to escape and sister Krone will take the fall for it. I know is a theory really out there but is possible. Honestly now I feel it would have been better to wait for it to complete and watch as a marathon. I have so many different theories and cannot wait to see what is true.

I love this series but it really gets on my nerves that they talk so loud and even shout their plans. It's like the anime of the quintuplets (series that I also love) where people confuse them even though the hair color makes clear the difference.

Because in the manga it's either monologue or they're talking in low voice, but not in anime where they just shout everything, even their monologue

It was a good episode but I believe animes with a slow pacing like this one deserves more than 12 episodes, this needed to have at least 24 episodes.

I really hope this anime picks up soon, we are half-way through the anime and not much has happened "plot-wise", we are still at the same situation of preparing for the plan to escape and stuff, I understand that if they try to rush it then it would be even worse but with 7 episodes in something needs to happen already. With this pace this anime needed to be longer.

So the big cliffhanger at the start was just empty. Nothing. Basically clickbait, great.

The drama between Don and Norman/Ray/Emma was a bit too ridiculous for me, made me really dislike Don even more than I did already. He was reckless (as Ray said) and could have gotten everyone into big trouble.

So maybe next episode we will get to see what the outside world looks like (from the wall), that would be very interesting.

The anime has great pacing, it's not too fast to understand and it's not too slow to get boring and almost every scene is important to the plot. loving the story so far and i've heard it's only gonna get better.
So Gilda and Don finally know everything and everyone are on the same page, but there's still the problem of them wanting to save ALL the children which i can't help but be skeptical about, it doesn't seem possible. William Minerva also seems suspicious, the story is so good it makes you question everything that happens. this anime is really good.

The tension levels were off the scale as Don and Gilda tip-toed their way into the secret room that "Mom" uses and it's in that room that the two kids find out about how Mom communicates to her superiors and where all the toys that the likes of Conny had are stored.

How the two of them got out without Mom spotting them must've been down to excellent timing as well as some luck, but they did it. Thus, came the dining room scene at night where Emma, Ray and Norman tell Don and Gilda the whole truth.

Don lost his cool in dramatic fashion as he went to give Norman and Ray a solid fist to the face and BARELY restrained himself from doing the same thing to Emma, before running outside and breaking down, frustrated with himself as much as with the others.

Don't know why there's a few people being overly critical here, but the music used for this scene outside was well timed and had the feel of hope, which worked well with Don getting his emotions together and the five of them all apologised to each other.

Sadly for them, Sister Krone was watching the entire scene that night and minus Ray, she went to confront them and offered to join forces with the kids. I wouldn't blame Emma and the others if they don't rust Krone, but since she knows their plan, I think they'll have no other choice but to work with her so that she won't go and blurt it out to Mom.

As for Ray, his confirmed shipping date will be in January, so time is starting to run down day by day for the plan to come into fruition.

So that sums up why I think this episode was great. The tension, music and most of all, the interesting camera angles and the excellent visuals of the character's many emotions made this episode the best since the first episode. I can't wait for more now! ^_^

TBH I was thinking about exactly the same thing. Good thing Krone found them and made it a bit realistic. Because, seriously, their planning to escape but their discussing it loudly and often cause ruckus and no one effing hears them even in the dead silence of the night? Give it a break and allow someone to catch you guys!

Also getting a bit tired and annoyed of cliffhangers here... Quality is good but redundant. There's always a time for everything, right? And doing it in an episodic basis is just a bit much.

Anyway, another good episode if you look at the show as a whole with that twist with Krone. Yeah sometimes Don's personality sucks, but he's the most "real" among them at least for me.

This episode was really good. The morse code hidden in the books is a good omen. They can't blindly believe in the best possibility, but at least now there's the hope of being able to find another humans, possibly, living out of the reach of the demons. I was impressed because I thought that Emma was truly the one to find this out, but that little boy may end up playing a bigger role than what I expected.

Now, Don and Gilda were really reckless getting into that room, but the outcome was great. Don's outburst felt sincere and was compelling. The truth is too heavy a burden to be taken lightly, and it was refreshing to see someone reacting like that. He was going through a swirl of emotions and things got inflamed, but the five of them are finally on the same page. If you ignore Norman's and Ray's lies of course. Don is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, now I fear for his life.

Now, I wonder if Isabella is telling the truth about the next shippment, and how they will deal with Sister Krone. If they can use her she may become a valuable asset, and by getting close to them she may genuinely come to care for the kids and want to help, but the day of the breakout is already around the corner. I can't wait!

God this was an awful episode... Don as now entered my personal shit list for being not only useless, boring but really hateful. I was screaming in front of my computer everytime this idiot opened his piehole. Hope him and glasses girl are die soon so we get move on to better characters.
And my oh my, Sister Krone is really, really annoying. She tries super hard to be creepy and fails flat everytime for me : creepy smile and overacting ins’t enough to make a vilain interesting and I wish we saw more of Mother (who is actually intriguing) than her.
The only good stuff of this episode was the scene with Ray and Mother so not even a minute. Great. Hope the next episode is gonna be better and also, there is really no need to have a cliffhanger ending for EVERY episodes.

I would not say I gave a lot of thought. It was just a what if I thought about. Making fast logical connections is what I do. But since you mentioned s3 do you think there will be any kind of resolution at the end of this season or will it be an open cliffhanger. I do not want details just to know if there will be some resolution at the end of the season.
