| And a action episode with a lot of blood, and with the atrocities that goblins always do! Really awesome episode, we could see the abilities from lizard and dwarf, lizard summon was cool and useful, i am glad to see that Onna is confidend about what she is capable of. So we get introduced how ogres are in that world, they looked really powerfull, he got defeated really fast, so the scroll was a powerfull trick to destroy a goblin nest, but unfortunately was "desperdiced in a mere ogre less powerfull than goblins" by Goblin Slayer's words! Btw, i am wondering where the girls have cleaned their clothes! XD |

Considering the fort itself is quite ancient, maybe the surface of the stone pillar (heck we don't even know its material) was weathered enough for it to produce dent with impact with plate armour. Still it's not as dramatic as some Shounen where the character literally crumbles layers of walls and yet managed to stand right up. Just my 2 cents. |

| Loved Priestess dead eyes in the beginning and GS closing in on Elf girl from behind was priceless ^^ Priestess chan really improved and I like how they all worked together. GS wrecking the ogre was dope. |

| Good episode, in enjoying the series so far. I am concerned that the characters in particular Goblin Slayer is limited by the whole premise of the show. There's only so much you can do with hack and slash. |

| I like how they made this anime for the slowest thinkers in existence - After already pointing out the connection of the scrolls, MC-san and Witch-kun, they had to rub it in again. They really know their target audience. Overall, GS remains as shallow as I suspected. Nothing wrong with it, but beeing violent and dark and having literally nothing else makes you kinda edgy. I dont want to call it pretentious, as it is consistent. That beeing said, I would enjoy this a lot more of everyone were on equal terms - Its like everyone else is playing a different game, a generic RPG, while MC kun is the only one with a fully interactable world. (As in "oh my gosh! hes so special, he actually uses fire to smoke them out and he knows how to drown puppies" - smoking out nests is basic.) PS: Is it me or did the quality drop since EP1? I get that having elves beeing older than trees while at the same time beeing naive as fuck is a common stereotype, found in sci fi as well, but atleast they usually dont assume beeing fuck old equals any kind of wisdom. |

Seems fair to me given that he is fighting an enemy that is still going strong after having an arrow impaled in his eye, his tendons slashes, pelted with hundreds of sharp rocks and sliced up by sabres. The elf is still a rookie, she's platinum but she don't know about the outside world too much. You are talking as if any adventurer at some point has killed goblins. |

| I'm glad I take this series for what it is, a simple hunt and kill series with some form of a narrative that is relatively easy to understand. Granted I get why people criticize it but from what I've seen so far, if you try to look for something more than what is given, you're only gonna have a bad time. |

| What is this? Actual logic in an RPG fantasy setting anime????? Connecting high pressure sea water to that scroll was pretty damn smart actually. Combining two spells to make the goblins fall asleep was also cool. I like that they didn't win with bullshit. Sure, it was anticlimatic but still lol. |

| This is the first time he defeated something else besides the goblins, so much of being a goblin slayer. I really thought he would kill that Elf girl, but as he said he only slay goblins. I see the Elf girl doesn't like Mr Goblin slayer, yeah I guess she still doesn't understand him yet. Great episode as always but I wish it would be longer than 12 episodes when it finishes. |

| Good stuff, but like was previously mentioned, the way the battle unfolded was very much toned down. Although I liked it better in the manga because it showed just how much the shit hit the fan before things were finally finished (hint: Ogre-san wasn't alone like he was in the anime) I'm still grateful that it is being animated in the first place. I would encourage those who were a bit unsatisfied with the battle in the anime to visit the manga (have not read the novel yet, but I do have it sitting on my shelf) since, at least for me, it developed and unfolded a bit better. Overall, still a good episode though. |

How is that an asspull? >It's almost as if the entire popularity of the show relied in an over-the-top first episode that tricked the audience into thinking there was more to the show than just generic light novel fluff. The entire popularity is about medieval batman doing medieval batman stuff on a tablepop game setting. |
