Good episode, I think the main thing we learned is that Aoyama is sus. Meatball is one of the coolest quirks in the anime so far in my opinion.

I'm really happy that they closed this episode well. Now we get to see more training in this next arc and I'm blown away how all the characters from 1-A have grown in the short time they've been at this school.

It seems that there will be a season 4 which I'm really excited for. The next arc will most likely be the giant setup and hype.

Wait, Season 4? Is there any reliable source stating so?

I will be surprise if there's no season 4. My Hero Academia has established itself as one of the giant in recent time :)
I'm surprise that Banpresto haven't made a figurine for All Might yet. So far only Funko has it.

Is bakugo being jealous of Deku ?? that he received the quirk of almight and is getting better by time !!

I don't believe so. At least, he is being respectful about it. We can see very much that over the series, Bakugou has matured and improved since the very beginning. It is now more apparent that he is much smarter than you would believe, and that this growth will continue. He was able to figure out a basic understanding of the situation simply by observing, and he isn't being very vocal about it like you think he would. He's giving respect to Deku and All Might's bond, and that's a major sign that Bakugou has indeed matured over the last three seasons.

Now that I’ve caught up with the manga, it’s a little less exciting but still enjoyable. Of course, this is an animated version with a great soundtrack, voice acting, etc. which adds to the overall experience.

Bakugo, Denki and Kirishima against Meatball. Denki was able to shine and show the fruits of his training, as did everyone else in this episode, he’s able to control his electricity quirk more. He’s right, people tend to judge Bakugou and the others too quickly. I’m guilty of doing that. Do I think Bakugou is still an asshole? Yes. However, I understand where he’s coming from now especially after reading ahead in the manga.

I wasn’t expecting them to animate Aoyama’s part. That was really touching, looks like Aoyama also had insecurities during his childhood and his overconfidence now is probably a defense mechanism. In the end, he helped everyone in UA pass the first phase. The second phase is one of my favorites in the manga. They’re going to do the ‘rescue mission’ phase.

Also I’m glad that the others were able to shine such as Koda calling all those birds and Hagakure Tooru/Invisible Girl using her refraction technique. First time seeing her actually ‘fight’ in the Anime, to be honest. I’m sure many people who are Anime-only would agree.

Omg that combo from UA at the end was superb! I'm super hyped and can't wait for next ep!!
Also that sly smile from pretty boy with black hair (who resembles Midoriya a lot) ..
I hope someone will erase that smile from his face

For a moment i thought that Bakugou won't pass this test, he did well.
So happy that they all passed omg! Even Mineta xD

Iidaa as always with the best motivational speech.
Watching them all fighting together was such a great moment, congrats guys!

Wonder how will be the next test, because i doubt it will be as simple as they described ;)

Hmmmm. An episode in this arc that I can finally say I really enjoy.

Didn't really like Aoyama as a a character but I gotta respect him in this episode as he did something "useful". I honestly thought he's gonna be eliminated after deciding to sacrifice himself to let his comrades pass, but I was wrong. All of them passing the first test was OK but I kinda prefer some of them not passing to make it a little bit "believable" as I say so that I can't reason out that they passed coz they're part of the cast.

So only one test left and then that's it?
I honestly thought there will be another tournament but OK. :v

Looking from the preview, the second test doesn't look as intense as the first one but who knows?

All U-A students approved in the last 5 seconds. I don't know but I'm not liking it like I did in other arcs, it's all simple and ended well. It can't be true that all of them had the skills to be a hero and actually, that's not true. Except by Todoroki and Tokoyami, the other students of U-A are very green, even ridiculous and here they are receiving a lot of merit.
Not satisfied.

Great as always.

However, this episode show us some aspects that in my opinion were hide in previous episodes or just weren´t showed to us. I am talking about the importance of the supporting characters in this episode, showing us that they are strong as some of the principle characters. I expect that from now on the whole 1A class is gonna have more relevance, but of course in the leadership of main characters.

In my opinion, from now on everything is gonna get better, but i expect some unexpected events are gonna happen in the following episodes.

YOOOOOO the character development for Aoyama?!
I know he's likely one of the least popular characters in 1-A, but daaaang, if I didn't at least sympathize greatly for him. I liked how even at the last question he asked, Iida didn't have a definite answer and we never saw Aoyama's reaction to it. He stands out a lot, and now it seems like he's been doing it because it's what he's known for all his life, and that's the thing here... he's always going to stand out. But even then I hope he realizes that the whole class is behind him. I hope he feels like one of them, an equal and all that.

Aoyama MVP

As a budding writer, I had wished that the story didn't become somewhat predictable by passing everyone for the first phase, but the fan in me just wants to see these novice eggs become wonderful chicks T^T

I have a feeling the rescue will see casualties (for the exam) in 1-A. I already can't wait

Thought that there may be a little more stages to the provisional licence exam but I guess that they shouldn't make the arc too long or we may lose interest.

Dam, wished they would've cut off some characters, too many characters and not enough screen time causing most(if not all) of the characters to just be so 1 dimensional with no real depth.

Too cliche tbh. 1500 contestants with only 100 people passing. The chances of all 20 passing was sooooo extremely low. This was another form of plot armor for class 1-A. Nothing really emotional either. What would have been more emotional was if there was only one spot left with several 1-A members and they all had a chance to pass but decided to let Iida pass or something.

The 3 useless minutes at the start of every episode, what a great use of run time.

They sure love dragging out the irrelevant parts and filler, while parts that actually should matter are not even properly explored / are very rushed.
Suddenly, someone slaps you with a brick wall.

It's pretty great how this episode managed to make a (basically background) character like Aoyama sympathetic and with more going on in his past than he lets on.

I'm glad UA came out strong at the end, and they all managed to pass the test!

Finally we saw Denki shining, he did pretty well, controlling his electricity, he literally saved Kirishima and Bakugou!

Wasn't expecting Aoyama starting that beautifull teamwork by U.A, we could see that his individuality is usefull.

The dialogue between Midoriya and Bakugou was unesxpected, and we she that Bakugou knows about All Migh and One for All.

And of course im happy that Camie passed too ! She's is really cute! :o

One bad frame doesn't mean there's bad animation. What matters is how well everything looks while flowing together. Most people wouldn't even notice parts like that unless people like you screenshot it and complain about a problem that doesn't exist.

I agree with your point, but when I first watched the episode, this stuck out a lot when Kaminari panned into the centre. You can check it out for yourself at 7:30, to see if you think if it flows or not. The transitioning isn't really bad, but maybe a bit more detail could have been added given how the frame lasted a bit longer than the others.

I was starting to lose interest in this season, but this episode reinvigorated my hype! I'm glad my boy Aoyama got some development, but I wished that it ended with him sacrificing himself for Iida. If the arc stays like this it'll end up great

And am I over thinking things or is Aoyama actually quirkless? That flashback when he asks why he's different got me suspicious

I said "seems" because there is speculation. This series has done well enough to the point where I see season 4 as a potential future and they do have enough source material. I don't want to make definitive statements and that wasn't my intention.

There would be quite some outrage if they decided to stop the series after the third season. With it being one of Bones' most popular recent series, I think it would be a poor mistake in terms of business to not continue the series. But who knows, they could pull an Ookami to Koushinryou.

Oh, my bad then. I read an article in Monsters and Critics and they speculate that the 4th Season will be sometime around Spring ‘19. Also, I agree with what you have to say with BnHA being such an important project for Bones. An upcoming movie just goes to show that. But then again, Bones has Mob Psycho 100 II and Bungou Stray Dogs Season 3 so it might take a while.

Well that is good, I'd rather a story take a couple of years longer to finish if that means they do a good job with the execution. All we can do is wait and try to survive the post anime depression.

Did they all have to pass..... like really. like do we need, talks with animals guy, or sugar rush guy, or ant/alien girl, or invisible girl. meanwhile deku and his crew get their elims in a like a minute after building it up last ep. Whatever kind of a weak episode that needed to be there.

I also thought a couple of times ol'belly laser was gonna sacrifice his last target to iida to help him advance. would have been interesting

Proud of Kaminari and Aoyama. Kaminari finally gets a chance to shine, his quirk is great and has been underutilized so far.

It's great to see everyone pass. Now we're moving on to rescuing, which I think is overdue. We've been focusing on combat skills so much, we haven't really seen any actual training for rescuing since the first season I believe.

Certainly didn't expect Aoyama of all people to have some kind of sad backstory lol. Dunno how I feel about everyone from UA passing though, like, at the end it was just teamwork of characters with less useful quirks that saved them in the last moment, but it looked like none of the guys they were fighting against even had any quirk at that moment, like not one of them did ANYTHING. So it didn't feel earned in any way. Kinda meh.

Congratz to class A they all made it. And that invisible girl actually was useful for a change. I like her, she's cheerful and fun and her power can be op in right conditions but she rarely does anything. And I just had this random thought that what if Eraser use his powers on her? Is she gonna be rendered visible showing her naked body? And what about those with wierd bodies like Tokoyami and his effing bird head or that pink acid girl? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

So far, this is the most badass Kaminari moment to date! At least in the anime. Those tools really helped and allowed Kaminari to use more tactics, including long ranged attacks, but I still want Kaminari to develop a lightning blade/sword like he said he wants to have!

Bakugo is only steps away to finding out Deku's true secret. Or maybe he already knew everything!?

All 1-A student did pass the test, the first one at least... The second test is a rescue operation so- Forget that, look at all those damages! The whole buildings
and other kinds of structures are intentionally demolished for this test?! The amount of funding the hero association must be insane...

I didn't expect Bakugou gets beaten by Seiji even if his ability was pretty nasty. Damn Kaminari really got a nice boost for his electricity. Even if the range isn't to high he's now able to shoot it at people in a controlled way. Kimishima and Bakugou just finished Seiji off.

I was glad to see Midoriya and Ochaku also made it to the next round. It got really close to the end. So much students of the 1-A were left and so few seats to make it to the next test.

From all people I didn't expect Aoyama to be the one who would be responsible for everyone making it through this test. Good job.

Bakugous and Midoriyas conversation if you want to call it so, let me suppose Bakugou knows about what happened between All Might and Midoriya.

The interaction between Aizawa and Joke was just as hilarious as always :D
