Well, it's goodnight from Konohanatei Inn.

First...Yuzu is a super wise fox girl..with super powers, who can transcend time and space. We need season 2 to unravel the mysteries behind Yuzu!

And it seems Yuzu is responsible for Konohanatei inn! Hmm...

A good final episode. The kind of anime that always leaves a warm feeling in your heart..especially tonight. Hope we see a second season

10/10!

9,5/10. I can't express how I will be missing this series.
One of the best pure slice of life anime of this year (and my somewhere in top 3 of whole this season). So beautiful, starting form character design, through general art and animation. Each story was touching in some degree, brilliant world based on Japanese myths and old stories, grat characters and direction. Season 2 please!!! (yeah, 0% chance but still...).
Ps, another series which I knew that it will be great by only looking on the poster. Another confirmation of my theory that poster is telling much more about anime than description and PV.

Another manga to buy from Japan. I need to check if it's finished. If it is, I'm ordering whole set right now.

Really good show. The welcome back tsubaki party made me a little emotional. No idea how much source material is left but a S2 would be nice.

This anime far exceeded my expectations. Like many, my first impressions led me to believe it would be a kawaii-overload slice of life fox girl anime. What it ended up being was not only that but so, so much more. Many great stories and characters that tell absolutely lovely stories, and this last episode capped it off all too perfectly.

Easy 9/10 from me, I would adore a 2nd season.

So far this is my favourite anime of the season.

Great series, it was a really fun to tune in weekly for such a heartwarming adventure. Wrapping up the anime with how Konohanatei came about with Yuzu and Tsubaki's meeting was fantastic and quite mindbreaking. Just who is Yuzu and Bikuni-sama?

I did wish for some more intimate shoujou-ai but the series did well regardless.

This anime turned out to be better than expected, MUCH better.

Going in I expected your usual SoL, with girls doing cute things, and I would've been mostly fine with that. The setting proved to be much deeper than expected, though, and very beautiful too. The characters were very interesting as well. And the animation was lovely throughout.

The only thing that bugged me a bit was Kiri not getting an episode for herself. Everyone else had something for them, but Kiri. She was quite charming.

That aside, I loved it all. The way the last episode played out was also lovely and smart. Great job, 9/10 in my book ^_^

Are you telling me, show, that Yuzu just time travelled to that god world, and Tsubaki and Okami-san are the same person!?! Ohmygod. What a plot twist! Haha.

Honestly, having a job of helping a god granting wishes is such a great job. I want to do it. Hihihi.

Such a heartwarming and sweet finale for this precious anime. I couldn't ask for more beautiful ending. Tsubaki or rather Okami-san now created an inn after hearing Yuzu that she's working at an inn for gods. Holy shit.

5/5 for this episode and 8/10 for this anime! <3 I wish we got more of shoujo-ai moments. Hihihi. Heck, I still loved and enjoyed this anime so much! :)

I will miss this show much so much especially the cute as fuck characters! :')

MERLION!

Oh wow, what a gem this turned out to be.

I've been moved to tears more than once by the narrative beauty of this show, and the clever little things it does... topping it off with a time travel finale that happened so casually that it takes a while to click in. When i clued in, before they explicitly said it, i was astonished, as i didn't expect a clever little plot like this to arise. Brilliant way to tie in character development, past, and wrapping up with a return to roots.

9/10 for sure.

Less yuri than I hoped for but much much higher quality than I expected. What a show. Beautiful in almost every sense from the art to the story to the cute yuri moments. I find the blend between cgdct and mystical stuff and the great art with peaceful music to be a wonderful mix.

However, was I the only one that felt like the show had a bit of a sinister, sad feeling lurking in the background? The entire show feels like a dream you are trying not to wake up from but in the end you know your time there is fleeting and the horrible reality you are running from will be waiting for you when you wake up. For some people it's their last stop before the afterlife and for others a brief dream but almost every human that ends up there is running from something and through their time there learns to accept their situation but it's still sad situations and we still have to bid a permanent good bye to many of the characters we meet and grow attached to.

I think the shows complete lack of world building or information early on actually really helped this aspect. For quite a while we really have no clue what konohanatei is or if this place exists paralleled to our world or just takes place in a fantasy world or what. It feels like the show deliberately avoids those questions which can make the whole thing feel eerie and yet the actual moment to moment content of the show was nothing but supremely peaceful.
'
I really like how the view of the place is very different for the humans, the gods, and the attendants. For the fox spirits it's essentially an everlasting dream, for the humans an escape and for the gods just a place to get a brief rest before heading back out to do godly things. I'm going to miss this show a lot and hopefully the anime gods won't spend too long loafing around in a hot spring inn and instead find time to grant my wish for a season 2.

A high quality show that's way more than just being a moe slice of life show. The many heartwarming moments truly made this show a joyful thing to watch.

Alas, a hidden gem like this show seems to be always too short... why is that?

Hopefully we may see a second season in future.

As for this last episode, who'd thunk that the whole thing was a time travel paradox? LOL. Very clever writing, IMHO. But wait... if Konohanatei was created for Tsubaki (a.k.a. Okami) because of the wish for her by Yuzu... but Yuzu can't get to the point where she's lost in time without first start working at Konohanatei... how did the whole thing get started in the first place?? Without Konohanatei, Yuzu can't get to that point where she gets lost in time, but without Yuzu there wouldn't be Konohanatei today!

Gawd, sometimes time travel paradoxes hurt my head.
To be or not to be... that is not the question. ;3

Well, I still dislike Ogata but anyhow

More than it seems on the outside. Third best show of the season. Some ups and downs(mostly on the drama EPs with Satsuki) but absolutely delivers on the ups. Always comforting, sometimes sad, sometimes nostalgic, sometimes surreal. 7-8/10 for me, you guys get this above an 8

Absolutely beautiful anime. Underrated gem of the season. Yuzu is perfection. This show could honestly go on forever given that "Time" doesn't seem to really matter for Konohanatei. I would love more

Yes. The inn Okami-san is Tsubaki tens?hundreds of years later. Remember Okami-san while sleeping at the end remembering the red hood?

I say hundreds because Tsubaki or one of the girls mentioned you'd need to be hundreds of years old to have the power to grant a time-travel wish.

Wouldn't be Konohana Kitan if it didnt end the show with as much feels as normal.

So Yuzu accidentally accessed the path of the gods, and not only went to the area where Kenzoku grant wishes, but also traveled a few hundred years back in time in the process.

She brings that scroll with her, and lo and behold, we find out that the young new Kenzoku Tsubaki is actually innkeeper Ookami. And it was actually her own scroll to begin with from when she met Yuzu and then forgot about it.

Just goes to show the power Yuzu had to touch other peoples lives. Her wish for Tsubaki ended up coming true without being "granted". She eventually created Konohanatei with the goddess and became in the keeper, and also wrote the scroll that saved Yuzu.

It's too bad that they never quite explained why Yuzu has the ability to go beyond her normal "realm". She's been on the path of the gods, and has nearly crossed over the border between life and the afterlife a few times and was saved by that girl from the early episodes. Just as Satsuki is going to become a priestess and everyone else has their own aspirations, perhaps Yuzu is destined for something greater when she ages: the future innkeeper/possible high ranking kenzoku/ perhaps even godhood.

I'm sure we wont get it, but id love to see a second season. This was an underlying gem of the season. Managed to be cute af and moe, but also really played the emotional cards really well, which completely centered around Yuzu and her ability to just bring out the warmth in everything.

Also glad to see the rating went up for this greatly. IIRC it was in like the mid 6's early on in the season.

Great finale, but wait does that mean that was the past Yuzu got lost in and met Okami ( now that was a cool twist). If its that so, that means Yuzu is the reason Konohanatei exists and Okami was the one who gave her a home(damn that was one heartwarming ending).

I really loved this anime and the aura it had with its story and characters. Most of all, character design was superb and beautiful to watch.
This was one of my personal best last fall and would love a season 2.

___

So in the end Yuzu created a Time Paradox.
She went back in time and gave Inari & Tsubaki the idea of the Konohana Inn..
which in turn gave Yuzu a home in the future, so, because of it, she got lost during new year and wandered back in time to gave them the idea..

yeah, time loop. Yuzu technically created the Konohana Inn.

I want a season 2, really loved this shoe. The OP so gentle to hear and overall the show always had a reason to brighten my day.
The episode was very interesting and cool to see Yuzu interact with characters from the past. So if that Goddess from the past heard of Bikuni, then Bikuni must be rather be maybe in her late 30's, just guessing. Either way it was lovely seeing Yuzu show her love for Konohanatei and how she quickly cries for Satsuki. Them two really developed a strong bond.

9/10 for me
Hope to see more one day~
