That was a great episode, though other than the thing with Gilles De Rais not dying easily, Drifters seemed a bit too OP :v
It'd be interesting if Toyohisa, especially, were to finally meet an opponent that could really pose a challenge.

Considering that the Ends are made up mostly of pretty ''God''-driven people such as Joan, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that they're the ones with the good intentions after all. Unless it pulls the Hellsing, in which the

The comedy takes a back seat as this episode is all about the action, and boy was it good! =D

Toyohisa might have some outdated views of women, but it's hard to deny at how well he battled against Joan. Very badass indeed. =)

Yoichi did very well for being a long-range fighter, but he still had a tough time against Gilles de Rais. Thankfully, back-up came along with an epic Gatling Gun that finished Gilles off for good.

With many Drifters around each other now, it was only inevitable that the that the leader of The Octobrists would show his face and his goals. Whether they all want to work together from now on though remains to be seen.

Well the episodes seem to be action - exposition - action - exposition so I think the next episode will another one where they explain a bunch of stuff, probably mostly about Abe's history if I had to guess.

This was a another great episode
with the main part of the episode being the fight between Toyo and Yoichi
and Joan and the Chain guy. The fight scenes were actually pretty well done
especially Yuichi's one. Plus we get to see Joans backstory as well.
The ending for the episode was also pretty good as the rest of the drifters
bar the zero pilot and the admiral are now here.

man when the eye appears and covers the moon i get that eerie feeling that
the drifters do as well

hmm Joan of arc vs Tokyo eh
this should be a interesting fight

Lol a reference to the Battle of Nagashino where Nobunaga's forces using firearms
and smart tactics managed to destroy the famed Takeda clans elite cavalry units

wow each of the ends are a equal match for the drifters here
Joan really is good with using fire though

hmm Olmine was brave to rush into battle to protect Toyo
with her spells

lol Olmine blushing as Toyo thanks her
Well historically the real Joan of arc didn't enjoy combat
so this version is not a full warrior like Toyo is either

The fight between Yoichi and chain guy is also pretty good
and both seems to be enjoying it lol
But man that guy is one tough cookie

Calvary is useless to use in forests
full of archers in good vantage points
something that poor sods discovered too late lol

The fight between Toyo and Joan and the one between Yoichi and chain guy
is the highlight of this episode though
lol Joan trying to figure Toyo out and and not managing too

So Easy recruited Joan at the moment of her death eh
its no wonder that she hates humans so much
considering what they did to her

Well back in Toyo's time Woman didn't fight on the field
so its no surprised that he will be surprised that Joan was a woman
so thats how he defeated Joan then

Yuichi's fight though was well done
and it looks like its a very close fight
man that guys a zombie
sustaining that many wounds and still managing to fight on

and now meeting up with the rest of the drifters
Toyo and the others are now united

well lets see him survive being chewed up by a Gatling gun then
damn he still survives that
damn the ends are tough
but in the end at least he died

But man he sure was devoted to Joan until the end

Giles was really badass. Heck I thought he might've defeated Toyohisa in one-on-one fight.

Archer vs Berserker/Lancer - lancer has bad luck and get rekt by machine gun.

Let's face it. Driferts frrom 1800+ has more firepower, but sword is always cooler. :D

That's Gilles de Rais summoned as a Lancer xD
Wow, wow... that was some brutal fighting.

It's incredible how Toyohisa not only didn't falter in his fight against Jeanne, an End with fire powers, but he developed a strategy with the limited resources he had and in so little time.

Ok, now, the fight between Yoichi and Giles was a better Archer vs Lancer than the one of Unlimited Blade Works xD It was an awesome fight! Of course, he also seemed to be a Berserker...
Anyway, the monologue towards his death was also good and faithful to the history, within the margins of this story mixed with fantasy, of course.

I really hope this anime has more than 12 episodes!

Toyohisa is such a unique character.

I was expecting Nobunaga to get awed and amazed by gattling gun. Instead he was awed by the monster guy Gilles de Rais. He was not much of a monster though. He was just an average berserker who couldn't even dodge or deflect arrows, and had a soft skin.

I loved seeing Joan of Arc. :) She's such a strong character but it's pretty sad and kind of a twist that she ended up as an Ends and not a Drifter. TT__TT You could feel her pain as they burned her at the stake and Gilles de Rais was so bad ass fighting against the Drifters. Yes I know he's a bad guy and his history is awful and he's evil but I deeply respect him and was saddened by his death.

An action-packed episode. Joan and her zeal against human/drifters is really intense.

Toyohisa's battle against Joan was unbalanced but despite having no superpower having a super-battle mentality gives him an edge over Joan and crushed her.

Looks like Nobunaga's tactics against cavalry is some actual tactic used in some historic battle. He is one 'demon from sixth hell'.....

Gilles de Rais vs. Yoichi was an endurance vs. nimble fight. Nice to see an End is defeated and no loss to drifters.

Another awesome episode!
Jean de'arc burns everything in her path!
Yoichi had a hard time dealing with that Gilles de Rais monster!
Nobunaga's really good with tactics especially on how to eliminate horse mounted cavalry!
Toyohisa is so stylish with his katana on his teeth! and then charging using the 2nd stone wall charm as launching pad to directly engage Jean resulting to her defeat.
Toyohisa is too strong for her! but it is opposite for Yoichi which almost strangled his neck from that chain of that monster.
Good thing Grand Master of Olminu appeared as reinforcements and finished that monster with the mighty gatling gun! For sure Nobunaga would be amazed with that gun and will have a lot of conversations with all other Drifters!
5/5!

Dang, Joan's fire power is pretty wicked :P Her battle with Toyohisa was pretty cool, with him using the stone walls as a launcher to push her into a well. Except well, seems like he's the kind of guy to let her go after he realized she's a girl ... welp. The other battle with Yoichi and Gilles was even better IMO, it's the first time we've really seen him fight. I can't believe Gilles withstood all that, but in the end he ended up dying ... I guess he just wanted to follow Joan huh? It was interesting to see what the Ends' "recruitment" by Easy was like rather than the Drifters. It seems like we've got the gun shooters showing up and the Grand Master showing up too. I wonder who else the Ends have on their side ...? :O

Christian propaganda? What are you talking about? They depicted Christianity in quite a negative light.
Also, that star didn't start off as the star of david, it was originally a magic symbol (it represents the elements, and "as above, so below").

Probably meant anti-christian propaganda since, if I remember right, Hellsing didn't make it look good. If he did mean this then it's still silly since Joan De Arc did get burned at the stake for being falsely accused of being a witch after fighting for her country and people. Not sure how you can make that look good.

Hellsing didn't exactly make Christianity look bad, just one Bishop/Archbishop in particular. To be fair, morality was never much of a discussion in Hellsing, even the Nazis who played the "evil" role weren't much worse than Iscariot or the Hellsing organisation. I wouldn't even say the part with the Elves in Drifters expressed Kouta Hirano's view on morality, since he started off making rape manga.

Loved that episode. Intense fights we got to see from Toyohisa and Yoichi. I liked how Toyohisa directly understood the character of Jean Dark and that she only wanted to show her power. His idea with the stone wall was awesome, to use it as a catapult to attack Jean directly. In the water of this fountain she couldn't do really much.

Was funny when Toyohisa recognized that Jean actually was a woman. He for sure is a gentleman as regards that. Yoichi for sure had a way more harder fight. This guy was an absolute monster. No matter how often he hit him with his arrows it didn't do anything. Even after one arrow lands in his eye he was continuing fighting.

Haruakira, Butch and Kid came in the perfect moment. Otherwise Yoichi would have been in real problems.

Only after Kid shot a whole ammo clip with his gatling gun on him he went to down. The crazy thing about it was the he didn't even made a noise.

Jean survived and Minamoto was enjoying the show. Good thing most of the Drifters are now unite. That will be interesting.
