Literally my reaction in episode 6 of Haikyuu...
Bless the team for Hinata's last shot even though Kageyama kind of lost his stamina and exhaustion has overcome his body.
Tsukishima's brain really made the blocking of Ushiwaka's spike possible. Thank kamisama for Tsukki! He's getting more and more attention in this episode.

Go! Go! Karasuno! Fight! Fight! Karasuno!

Thought that I cooled down a bit after the last episode but now seems impossible after watching this episode!
I can still feel my heart beating frantically!

Too many Epic moments!
- Lets start with the backstory! cause the third years are such cute little babies

LOL! Asahi never changed! he's still as awkward as before!

- Tsukki!!! I really appreciated him more in this season! glad he's getting serious now!

His time differential attack is magnificent!

-THE SPINE CHILLING SCENE where the floor started crumbling!! the sound effects made it 10x even better!
It feels like the end the world if they don't get that serve!!! Seriously?! I don't think I'm still watching a volleyball match anymore!

so Ushiwaka serving! Pressure is on! one more point for shiratorizawa's victory!

-BUT THEN THIS! HAPPENED! GUARDIAN OF DEITY! is here to save the day!

NOYA diving like an iwatobi swimmer on that receive!!! you demn beast!

-AND OFCOURSE! Hinata getting that last point!

HINATA using his left hand! GOD DAMMIT!

Whooooo intense... FOUR MORE EPISODE! ONE MORE SET! I'M COUNTING ON YOU KARASUNO!!! LETS GO! WIN THIS FIGHT!

In the beginning the short bits of the past seemed like an extra story for me about the volleyball club of Karasuno, not that significant in my mind. As I gradually watched till the last part and Karasuno finally won the 4th set match and by bringing those flashback back had me almost in tears and made me re-think that a scene can change its importance depending on the flow of the story. 1st half of the show had me in despair but the last half made me excited. So very excited. I also got worried about Kageyama having reach his limit so I'm glad that in the preview for the next episode he got to rest for a moment while Suga subs him.

One thing I notice after watching some of this season's anime is that Haikyuu is one of the anime where the animation quality didn't got reduce after airing more than 3 episodes. I'm really thankful (´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡

It's obvious that they're going to win the 4th set. But the way they did it is too awesome.

The old man support was good also.

And Hinata doing some sumomomo-like notice me Koushi-dono lol

This so far the best predictable match ever !

The OST during the end of the set was wonderful. I felt all the tension of the match coming down when Hinata saved the point. Daichi and Nishinoya's saving were amazing! I love all these characters *.*

I hope that Kagayama will survive.

I've read the manga for this season, but so quickly there's no way I'd notice a point missing here or there. But the Haikyuu producers must know that we've learnt the rules of volleyball well enough by now...Kageyama serving after Suga's serve won them a point was very jarring! Suga should be serving again!

Maybe the episode ran long and they had to either cut out two points or cut out some of the flashback - they made the right choice. Love this show, can't wait for the final four eps

Something felt off when I was watching. So I went back, and then checked the manga to confirm.

THEY SKIPPED TWO ENTIRE POINTS! WITH NO LOGIC BEHIND IT OR ANYTHING! Was I the only one with this problem?

Notice how on Sugawara's serve, when Satori's block on Hinata went out and made the score 27-26. Then immediately after they skip to Kageyama's serve? How would he be the one to serve if Karasuno had just won the point? It still should have been Sugawara's serve.

The manga does not skip these points. Shiratorizawa tied the game at 27-27, then Karasuno broke their serve to make 28-27, THEN it was Kageyama's serve and Hinata's left handed hit that closed the set.

In the anime the score all of a sudden became 28-27 and had Kageyama serving without any explanation.

Wow the animators really messed this one up. I'm kind of disappointed. I understand time constraints and skipping certain dialogue (which they have done), but the actual points that the mangaka drew out? In the crucial part of the match? Wow.

If anyone wants to see the parts that were skipped I suggest reading Chapter 174 of the manga.

i think it's most likely because the time available. they put the flashback here and that consumes time, tho. But the scoring stays the same. I think they've been thinking through this and consider that this 2 points is the least impactful to cut, even though it's still important.

Nevertheless, what a set. Now onto the final set

Haven't notice that at all, not until I actually scanned through chapter 174, and you're right they most likely skipped 4 pages in the manga, where suga serves again, Oohira spikes, leon serves, noya saves the net in and tanaka's spike, it sure would have been good to see that in the anime, and if you're not a manga reader who notice that little detail you would've have asked yourself where the two points come from?
BUT I gotta agree with some of the comments here, only 4 more episodes left so I won't be surprise if they'll cut some bits in the manga cause they had to sacrifice something for more impactful events (backstory) and sadly the consequence to that is the skipped scores (which some people barely even notice). but either way I still loved the episode.

Great episode, nice backstory and good presentation of characters aswell as the slowly but surely incoming stamina problems, especially of Karasuno. I didn't like the skipping of two points at the end aswell, but then again i am just enjoying the show overall so this really didn't make this enjoyment worse. Looking forward to the 5th set! Karasuno Fighting!

Ah tuski keeps on evolving, and hinata with that all important point and wanting to be praised by kageyama haha and nishinoyo with that epic save !
how come sugawara (who was serving and they win that point)is replaced by kageyama towards the end ,i was confused when i saw that but i guess they skipped a couple of points...maybe time constraint issues...for a sec it really made me think if there is a rule where u could lol

It was a pretty good ep, though it also felt a bit short, I guess they are saving a lot of time for the finale. We've got 4 more episodes for the last set, hopefully we will get something really epic out of this!

I'm probably in the minority as far as this opinion goes, but I'm really glad they sped through the sets that Karasuno lost. Yes, it did make the game feel a little off balance (I had to go rewatch the first couple episodes when I realized we were magically in the 2nd set and I didn't remember getting there) but I just hate seeing those boys lose. I love each and every one of them so much, it's so awesome seeing them succeed, and pull off those crazy stunts. Kudos to Tsukki and Hinata for growing so much since the beginning of this show! They've come together as a team that feeds off internal competition while supporting each other at the same time. This show is so bad for my heart, but so good for my soul. I hope they don't drag out the last set too much... I'd love to see them meet up with Nekoma for another practice match.

Uhm they've been doing this (=skipping points) since the very beginning though......it's not necessary to animate every single point (this set alone was like 56 points I can't imagine they animated ALL of them), they keep showing the scoreboard throughout the matches so the viewer knows what's up. The people working on the storyboards HAVE to keep a close eye on the score to make sure it's correct, so this isn't a mistake, the skipping of those two points was deliberate and not new.

Also, this match spans TEN ENTIRE episodes and you're dissapointed because they didn't animate two points? The manga is so incredibly FULL of dialogue and little details it's almost impossible to capture all of them.

Not sure why they did a flashback with the third years and didn't focus on developing any of them this episode. I mean I guess they did in a way, but I was hoping they would get a few more moments to shine like Tsukki or Hinata. That said, Suga made a lot of good calls when he finally switched in so yay!!!!!

^What LauraBirdie said. They've done this before so I don't get why people act so suprised now... And it's not like they are trying to hide the fact that they're skipping some of the points because they always show the score before they do it and after they do it.
