And I just now noticed that Kuzu is called well... Kuzu which means trash. He's such an unreliable idiot, but he's really likeable for that lol. I liked the struggles Chitose went through and how she improved by just trying to act in the most generic way. They're really roasting the anime industry. Who cares about good acting when you can just act imitate a template.

"This series just isn't all that appealing"

When the woman in the meeting said that or something similar to that regard, my mind flashed back. If Absolute Duo, Unlimited Fafnir, and Hundred are LN series that can get an anime adaptation, literally every LN should get anime adaptations.

Anywho, that ego got rekt eh Chitose? The savagery and bitchery continues.
Don't believe the hype.

GAHAHA! Another good episode, not quite as funny but she learned good, nice development for a casual meta-anime, GAHAHA!
I love smug characters lol.

You can really tell that the author is the same as Oregairu when both her and Hachiman have this mindset.
Except she's cuter than Hachiman.
Ps: society IS insane (in the wrong), literally, and if you really wanted i could write several papers loaded with references, citations, and cases to prove it, though that's unnecessary if you just learn what the true definition of insanity is. Symptoms of it are logical fallacies and irrationality.

Pretty much any LN can get an anime if developers deem it profitable.
Her ego wasn't damaged at all, she just has no common sense and had to idea in that she was missing something.

I actually quite empathize with that, i can't improve in anything at all until i can find some logical reason for my particular shortcomings, or learn something i didn't know before. Practice doesn't help if you don't know what the method supposed to be, and anyone with any intelligence like her can improve in a jiffy once they learn what they should be doing, without the need for much practice. They like to call it "talent" but it's really just inherent ways of understanding things, something which can be learned if anyone even knows how to teach it (some people just get lucky).

That series composition lady was quite unprofessional by dropping off the project just because it was not of her liking; it is a given that sooner or later she would have to work in a run of the mill harem light novel adaptation, she choose the wrong line of work imo. If she were truly professional she would have done her work the best she can, one never knows when the next Infinite Stratos or Konosuba might happen.

Those introductions done by our MCs are extremely pointless to my eyes and I'm not even from the west...they sure have lots of shite rituals don't they

Chihaya mk2 is the kind of character I usually hate and looks like she isn't the exception

Aw MC what an embarrassing thing to go through
Even viewing that is embarrassing how would that feel IRL

Okay episode, low 7 for me

If Hatchiman was a Seiyuu

Love how all the LN authors thus far are completely unsocialable, haha. I'm surprised and glad the anime goes deep into how Voice Acting isn't just using tropes and cliches, but moulding personalities.
Better than last episode, hope the spiritual successor of Shirobako continues with high hopes :]

Chitose's poor acting was really brought out this episode. Was surprised how she still thought herself to be "the Shit" when in reality, she was just "Shit".. And wonder how she didn't notice it herself when they kept having her redo her lines anyway. Doesn't it seem out of whack that she doesn't think it's her problem?

It's a good thing how she finally was forced to face her issues here. When you hit rock bottom, the only way is up.

Great episode, Chitose really grew as character, i kinda feel sorry for Momoka at beginning, when these girls greet her, and right after that asked her to say hi to mom, it's like she is liked only because of her famous parents.

This show is really like shirobako we can learn more about anime industry, specially the difficulty
For the voice actress, finally Chitose could see her weakness and try to get better she should work on her personality too
But I think she will do fine. I think Shibasaki, Kazuha didn't like the voice actress who only copycat other.

There you go, Chitose's character development. I was worried that this show would be basically just one big satire, but that's not the case judging from this episode.

Her voice acting was so bad in the beginning, good god lol. It's good that she swallows her pride though when she's told how bad she is and begins to learn.

Heh, I found it kinda funny that Chitose haven't even realized at first that everyone hates her and doesn't want to go anywhere with her because she thinks too highly of herself and was causing troubles for them.

Well, but it was about time to finally hit the wall. Although I'm not conviced by her magical improvement, I guess it could work as she was basically copying other actors. And there are only definite number of archetypes to play in the first place. But it's given she'll get better with more and more shows she voices. Even though there are those who have the talent and those who don't, the latter would never surpass the former if both worked equally hard.

Still, she needs to play on her own, find her own style in time otherwise she would be just one of the crowd.

That being said, it's kinda ironic VA for MC has no real experience either and it shows. Sometimes her attempts on acting and copying others are so obvious.

Man Kuzu really has no idea how an anime is created does he
The episode does a good job of showing how hard it is to adapt and create an anime
with a original source material.

Momoko has to be one of my fav characters on the show
she's pretty and doesn't have a overbearing attitude that some
people have while also being kind. Her seiyuu Eri Suzuki really does
a great job.

Lol Yae and Koto just ignoring Chitose
not intentionally but you should always greet your seniors first
something that Chitose seems to have forgotten.

So the after recording is the stage when the animation and scenes have
been finished but and passes to the seiyuus eh

But Chitose's attitude stinks
Even Momoko can tell this and she's a veteran
I hope that she learns to tone down this factor of her personality

The process where the seiyuu voices their characters as their scene appears
was also well done.

Just because you made lead actress doesn't instantly make you popular to the
company. Respect is earned through hard work and well received roles

Still at least this fact was broken to chitose by her brother
and at least Chitose knows what she truly is
but as long as she tries to improve her worst traits then im sure she
will improve her voice acting skills and her personality.

Its nice to see Chitose try to get advice from her seniors

and wow after taking that advice from Momoko
Chitose's vocal ability has a marked improvement

Hmm the final scene

Overall a good episode that showed what it's like being a seiyuu while also gradually developing the characters. Its nice to see that Chitose has realized that she is not as good as she thinks she is and in doing so seek advice from her seniors to improve herself rather than do nothing.

Whoa! Chitose's acting is cringy and hard to watch. Good thing she's improving.

Its funny how her bro tell she has a garbage personality. haha.

When she's acting all high mighty. Not greeting her seniors first with the usual to show respect, its like mocking or ridiculing the industry. You have to be like that as
a newbie over and over again even if your tired of it.

But I'm looking forward how she'll improve and how far she'll go. I bet it's not going to be easy to watch. As the series goes its going to be even harder to watch as we see
Chitose fail even more and act trash.

Man, I can't wait for Chitose to pour her heart and soul into this anime only to have it end up with a 3/10 on MAL. :U
No but really, I wouldn't doubt if it'd turn out to be like that.
I'm actually really liking this anime-- maybe not my favorite, but it definitely serves as more inspiration to aim to better the VA industry for everyone. Sometimes it's just hard to really pinpoint the exact things which will improve it, but shows like these make you start musing over specific things; this time it's actual acting as opposed to just reading, which is a given, but sometimes it's difficult for people to not just... read or sound like they're reading. The question is how do you get people to really have the switch from reading to acting click in their mind when they can't tell the difference? Without having them simply mimic someone else's emotions --> not good acting (read: stale/wooden)?
That's pretty difficult with dubs for sure.
