| A nice episode. I loved seeing how different Ryo and Hayama in showing their passion but made equally great dishes. XD Also, Soma squeezed by the Nakiris is cute! The three way will be great!!! XD |

| this episode had so-so animation unfortunately, but I still laughed my ass off. the judges are hilarious and I'm always happy to get more Erina and Alice action. Alice is just lovely and she also elevates Kurokiba's character. I hope the pace winds down a bit until the big finale. |

| Lol Hayama was training by identifying different spices placed in plates just by their smell. And Ryo was training by doing push-ups. The fight was pretty intense. Hayama seemed to have the upper hand with his fragrant duck dish but then Ryo started to come out on top with his eel, extreme rudeness and explosives. The result is a draw which is super convenient for Soma since he is getting his second chance at beating Hayama and Ryo since it was pretty much a tie during the prelims. Now the few episodes will focus on the training sessions for the three as they try to use their special skills to come up with a destructive recipe. |

| You know about the Kuroko Syndrome? I was just about to say that Shokugeki no Souma is keeping true to the Kuruko Syndrome by being predictable as hell because always the second person to present his dish is winning the match. HOWEVER... this episode really got me. I didn't expect an result lika that. Its really refreshing. But I will keep watching out if the other matches will always or mostly be won by the second contender, who is presenting his dish last. But no kidding: Isn't there an actual psychological phenomenon that people seem to like newer things better? "This movie was much better because it is new!". Maybe the judjed of the series are suffering from this, too. Or it is just my imagination and my memory of the previous Sokugekis is trolling me right now. |

| Hmm last minute reconstruction of rules. Normally this would annoy me but when I think that Soma has unfinished business on both of them (Soma's frustration on Hayama getting a point higher than him on the prelims and Nakiri's vengeance for her defeat through Ryo) I can let it pass. |

| I got goosebumps from the beginning of the battle tbh xD that was a freaking awsome and thrilling battle!!! like....the last moment where the last judge need to decided who is better.....that was so freaking thrilling cause i can't even predict who will win, which mean, i don't know who will win! and when she said "i can't decided" i didn't get suprised and i thought it was a joke. but LOL! she really can't decided and the battle ended up draw and both of them move on to the final stage with Soma. seriously, that moment, i was like "WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!" the final battle is gonna be awsome and intense obviously. i can't wait to see it. but before that, i wonder what is in the build up for the next two episode maybe ? or maybe 3 episode of build up ? anyway, the atmosphere is getting hotter each episode xD looking foward to the next episode :D |

| Obviously this match didn't get 2 episodes like the one between Souma and the copycat, but I was very impressed at how it managed to surprise me. I had not considered a 3-way final. I'm glad that they didn't under power Ryo's character and have him come off as an overly angry punk who can't compete with the composed Hayama. The focus on his determination to win and concentration on his food is very appreciable. I''m still pretty sure that Souma will win the final, but I was wrong about this one so who knows. No matter what the outcome, these recent episodes have earned my trust in the show to pull of the battle very well, so I'm honestly looking forward to it. |

This double spread does a good job portraying the intensity of both Hayama and Ryo while showing the nonchalant attitude of Soma, what the anime studio did portrays that they don't give a fuck and just wants to rush, do a halfassed lazy job and be done with it.  Wow. This art comparison is exactly how I feel about this ep. The title of this ep is BEASTS DEVOURING EACH OTHER and nope, I'm not feeling any of that going on. I was like, what??? They're serving their food already??? It's over already??? HUH??? The intensity just wasn't there which is sad because it's definitely there in the source material. I love Hayama and Kurokiba so much too urgh...I was hoping for this to be crazy but it just wasn't. </3 |

| This episode felt as a chore. It was way too rushed, was boring most of the time and didn't bring anything interesting on the table... if they just skipped it saying only the result it would be a lot better. And again they utterly misused god food ost theme. It showed us the reason why long shounens get stale after a while. The only interesting thing here was Yukihira talking with Alice and Erina but then again it was just empty talk without any real meaning. |

| One of them has an unmatched and perfect sense of smell, and the other is freaking ripped surprisingly. But how Soma even got in the VIP room is what I wanna know most from this episode. Anyway, I really wish I could smell the black dude's food, like, every time he cooks something, there are golden rays of sparkles and crap and everybody starts going crazy without even tasting it. The fanservice was done right this episode too, so that was good. Honestly, I was hoping Hayama would win, he's just freaking awesome, but I look forward too their three way even more now, though Soma will probably win, I hope Hayama at least gets second or something, I don't know. But it looks like now is finally the time for the filler or something, so I guess it will be a little before that competition. |

| This is probably my favorite cook off so far. Two awesome characters facing each other. So much drama, just choose one. Then again, if she did, we wouldn't have a threesome between Souma, Akira and Ryo. Souma better lose, I'm fucking tired of him winning all the fucking time. Fucking Marty Stu. Also, I don't see these "hidden feelings" Erina has for Souma. I seriously can't. I think Megumi has feelings for him but definitely not Erina. |

| Great episode. I couldn't predict who could've won so as I was watching the episode I thought to myself a draw could be ideal and that's what we got. Tbh the opening and the poster all were pointing to a 3 way final and I'm glad we got one. |
