And then appears the Rusian's sister, furthermore also had a Rusian statement to Ako, it was clear that she would give that answer, and thus the route Harem no longer exists, but really wanted to see the route of the other girls ..

That's what she's going to say next episode, then nothing will change romantically between them until at the very end of the season he reciprocates her twisted feelings in the form of accepting her marriage proposal. Calling it already.
There's more after the ending.

Thank god, it wasn't a straight out rejection. When I read this in the manga I was almost afraid that she really rejected him. XD So glad it wasn't, but now everything that will happen from this point on is new to me since the translated parts of the manga only went as far as the confession.

For me Ako is clearly the best girl in the series, and I still can't get enough with how she acts. >.<

This was a another great episode! More action, the punchlines were in perfect timing, Nishimura's reaction at the end was on point. xD Ako is getting more interesting and her immersion in the game is really intense. xD

I've never had an anime to relate to so much. This really brings back memories to my MMORPG days.

It was ringing in the back of my mind "Sh'e going to say no for the stupidest of reasons." and boy was right.

But this however I didn't expect. Like what even?

I really like that this show gets a legit confession and response. It doesn't drag on and repeats itself silly like other series.
The last part tho with rusian saying he was done with ako and stuff. Struck an awkward nerve in me.

This was the best part of the episode, maybe best scene of the series so far even. The humor of this series is so completely on point. The bit where they're talking about real life as a game was hilarious (not to mention true). I nearly lost it when Ako said "I hate these end-stage games".

Definitely, considering she merges the real and game world together. Rusian's biggest problem is getting his wife to actually work in the future. This whole housewife thing will be her just playing games. Nothing in the house will be cleaned, no food made, and no bills paid. He'll just inherit a neet.

Are housewives/husbands expected to pay bills? I would think not but dunno.

This anime started alright, and at one point I was looking forward to it weekly, but the game and gamer stereotypes are way overkill. This isn't the 90s, you don't have to "explain" video games to your audience anymore, 70% of the western world plays video games now. Nor do you have to insult that 70%.
The character designs also has stupid looking mouths, Ako's voice actor is rubbish, and the music ticks me off.

Lots of minor annoyances add up in this show.

If they go LARPing or something stupid next episode I will drop it.

Relax!
If you felt you were insulted, that is because you accept an important fact, which is a general tendency that even today, video game players are located lower place in the "school caste system" than some physical sports players. Truth can hurt you and you get angry.

But, this show means to tell us, "All-day gaming life is not as dull as they say. Players really have and enjoy vivid time in the game world with friends, who are actual humans.

I don't know where you're from that's that backwards, but in Norway, everyone - literally everyone - plays some form of video games if they're younger than 40.

And I'm not angry, if you interpreted what I said as an anger rant then you're just hearing what you want to hear. I am simply bored of the 950th time these exact stereotypes and situations have been re-used, and jokes get old the second time you hear it even if you're a goldfish.

This show started great, when all the "game jokes" were actually insightful and had fun with actual game design tropes. Now it's moved on to repetition and establishing characters as "dorks from the typical 80s movie" and it's becoming dull.

I'm posting these messages from a rural area of Japan and theses days most players use their smart phones, not with PCs boosted by high grade 3DCG video cards. So, I knew the impression of the LA in this show could gave you a very old-fashioned (possibly that is on purpose). But anyway, that is, IMO, not an important matter of this show.

The whole desktop centric thing does seem very western. That and... uh, Rusian actually has Razer periphereals. Dunno why they did that, I mean as a filthy gaijin it's cute and makes me feel more at home, but I can't imagine how that pertains to the domestic audience.

I'd guess the writer of either the manga or the anime is older than people growing up gaming today (well, that's a certainty, teenagers don't get paid to write as a rule). I can say as someone born in the 80's that that attitude (gamers are filthy lowlifes who should never be seen or heard) is 100% accurate in the past. I can't speak for the present, though I doubt the idea that being a real shut-in is in anyway acceptable even now. Society as a whole "gentrified" gaming and nerdiness--it's okay to signal your fake nerdiness while being attractive and otherwise social, but the "true" gaming, nerd culture, etc, is still not mainstream.

@Red_Tuesday,

It's interesting, I have the opposite impression from this anime. I'm constantly surprised by how it's willing to go a different route, and it more often makes me laugh and think "that's EXACTLY how it is" than do something unrealistic. The only thing I'd point to as a misstep in that regard is making Rusian's "male" love interest the female teacher. I think it would have had more impact if that dark shit in his past had remained dark. But I mean... it's a harem anime. Every time I watch anime there's stuff I just have to overlook. It's not high art (at least, not most of it). Maybe you just don't like this sort of anime?
