| Not too bad. Alucard's definitely the best vampire I've seen so far in anime. His elegance sort of reflects that of the show. All the characters were quite a fun bunch overall, especially Walter. I'm kind of fond of the loyal butler type. 7/10. Let's see how Ultimate compares. |

| I don't know why this series waited until the very last moment to give Alucard a compelling enemy. And then it turns into yet another shootout. A vampire and a demon are fighting to the death, two horrible and frightening monsters with powers beyond belief, and they're using guns. Yawn. I did enjoy the show as a whole, though. I especially liked the three main characters. Welp, onto Ultimate. |

| Okay so the last episode was really nice for me, I liked it a lot. Now I know it doesn't follow the manga but I still think this was pretty good anime. I wanted to see more of Alexander and Vatican group but all in all it was enjoyable show with a pretty cool charachters and voice actors! |

| The finale was a bit on the rushed but overall I have enjoyed my time with Hellsing. Alucard was an awesome character from start to finish, the rest of the cast was likable as well. Soundtrack is easily the best part of the whole show. I do think that people like to bash this show just because of Ultimate being there but honestly for what it's worth I do think this show did hold up considerably well. It's definitely worth watching, not one of my favourites but worth watching. 8/10. |

| I thought it was fine. Yes many questions not answered and yes that ending was a bit wtf and very rushed, but hey ultimate will fix that... right >:) 6/10 |

| An alright end to a good series. I liked Alucard vs Incognito, both of there powers are great. Overall i liked this show but it just felt like it was missing something. I really liked the ending song. I plan on watching Hellsing Ultimate and i have high hopes because ive heard it adapts all of the manga unlike this Hellsing, as the manga was not finished at that time. 6/10 i will be back Alucard. |

| Oh boy... I did not like this. Alright, so Victoria gets a big cut and is all messed up. Alucard is all messed up. Incognito is laughing it up. Did Victoria really need to have that bleeding scene between her legs? Incognito's words about the cursed tower are a good metaphor of sorts to the variety of questionable ethics that the good guys seem to partake in. Alucard's line about not caring about the tower's symbolism is kind of cool and fits in well with his character. His next line about Incognito licking the Devil's ass is kind of stupid LOL. Why is Incognito a weird naked featureless creature? Victoria picking up and licking Alucard's head was so weird. The good guys are losing, and then there are several weird lines about how characters (Victoria and Walter) should retreat. Very nonsensical and out of place here. It would have fit better to have the other characters say like "Oh if only we weren't in this situation" or something. Integra gets out of the chopper and then is just captured with no explanation. Incognito's chanting scene with her pinned by spears is sort of racist, but it's also like an Anne Rice Egyptian vampire thing. Ehhh okay. The close up of Incognito has HEAVY outlines. Is this because of the animation budget getting more for the finale? It looks sort of out of place and reminds me of Yu-Gi-Oh! Maybe that's intentional because of ancient Egypt. Was it the aliens? I am kidding here. Females characters are consistently threatened with rape/sexual violence in this show. There's nothing really interesting about that. Okay then Integra unlocks Alucard finally for real. Why did she wait so long? Incognito does a weird Legacy of Kain-style ranged bloodsucking. Alucard is so OP; this really ruins the show all the time. It can work, but it doesn't here. Then: Crazy lightning and lighting - there is barely a real fight. Stuff just flies around in a montage of heck. yeah idk... It's crazy that after all of that, they bring back their guns, do a samurai ka-ching thing with those guns, and get quick visual makeovers (I hope they paid the makeup artists well). Incognito gets impaled by divine power? Alucard is revealed to be Dracula (basically). Some text appears and tells us very little. Did Integra drink his blood (I actually forgot about that until I was trying to figure out why she had handcuffs on)? Priest dude reappears, but that was never resolved and was way more interesting and less questionable than Incognito's whole thing. Man... what a waste... 4/10 |
