The guy looked so bad in monster form I actually got a good laugh out of it. The cake scene was also hilarious. Overall a pretty average series so I'll give it a 7/10.

I would have really liked this finale if Stalkrr-kun actually died and of that salty ass bitch of a student council president didn't pull that bullshit with our girls -_-

Sighhhh, leave it to Kanata to botch Yuri's confession too lol....6/10 for me, it was an okay watch and I enjoyed the final battle quite a lot

So they just barely skimmed over the most interesting topic of the entire anime.. and that was why everyone thinks he is a traitor.. and why does he turn a smokey black color while fighting..

This ending was as just as unsatisfying as Aoharu x Kikanjuu..

In this anime episode, they toned down the gore. In LN, Chloe actually just fired one beam of crimson blast that carved a small hole in the ground, and Real lost his whole arm in the process of dodging it after noticing it at the last second. In the anime, they showed him only with a missing hand.

The anime seems to have fun downgrading Chloe.

This is fine, 6/10. The ending really felt like a conclusion to me, season 2 probably won't ever happen.

If there was a season 2, they have to explore Rico's character more.

I was hoping that Kanata would leave the city and Yuri becomes the new instructor.

Well if there is a season 2, Lecty and Rico (and Freon) will definitely get their development. I can assure you that. The plot in Kuusen becomes better after Volume 2.

8/10, not sure where all the hates coming from. It was good enough. Wish Yuri would have just given in to her tsundere tendencies and told Kanata it was him the cake was for. Such a wasted opportunity.

I'm just glad that Yuri was the one to defeat that psycho blue beetle villain guy. It's was okay for what it was and it's been okay ride to watch this anime. And Yuri finally join Kanata's team. Too bad I won't able see more of that or the relationship between Kanata and Yuri, because I actually like them together. 7.5/10

lol that creeper guy turned into some laughable abomination. I'm not sure whether to laugh or not the whole time.
Would be better if Kanata finished him off. Then again, this is Yuri's recruitment arc, so Yuri finishing him off will make much more sense.

7/10 for me. Sure, it's bad. Laughable serious moments, QUALITY and such. The cast really kept me interested and enjoyed the series. Decent watch at best.

Season 2 will probably never, but this series definitely need one. There are few questions left unanswered/unexplained.. Like Kanata's past and origin of the Beetles and such..

That was completely subpar. Even worse than the past eleven episodes. Ridiculous. Even OP MC turned out to be not so cool. I mean, yeah it was pretty interesting that the girl defeats him and all, but Kanata went "OP" mode and was pretty quickly beat by the bad guy. It would've been nicer to see them tag team or something than the MC just sitting on the sidelines bleeding out for the rest of the fight.

It didn't look like Kanata really had any problems. If he followed his own
directions then he most likely just played weak and gave the girls an opportunity to
shine. It wouldn't be any different than all those "didn't I tell you?" of his.

One of the reasons I don't think he was in any real danger is his title (Kronos/Chronos).

I find it amazing that Kanata wasn't the one to finish off Stalker-kun.
I also find it funny how Kanata acts dense and Misora's relieved he does so.

I actually enjoyed this anime, unlike the majority.
It's freakin' Kanata Age that makes this awesome.

Well there's a need for Kanata to consider his location too. He's in the middle of the city, the only move Kanata has to defeat Real is his Strike Blaster, annihilate him into bits and he won't regenerate but since he's inside the city, there's no way he can use that cause it'll bring down the entire city. That's why Kanata left it to the girls and Yuri cause her weapon is the only thing that can defeat Real without putting a huge risk to Mistgun . He even took an attack meant for Yuri for that purpose. As to why he was down all the time, he did that to protect E601 and to trick Real. If he was still moving around, Real might use them as a hostage and since he "defeated" Kanata, Real didn't consider the girls to be a threat and didn't take them seriously.

This episode was complete and utter rubbish. Like holy shit. The animation in this series has been pretty mediocre, but for the final episode to feel like it was animated by a team of interns is ludicrous. The scenes/sequences with the most action appeared to be moving extremely slow. Characters dodging at snail speeds. Characters not dodging or blocking attacks that are moving at snail speeds. It boggles my mind why everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) seemed to be moving so damn slow.

Turns out the guy we thought was supposed to be this supposed bad ass character was actually a complete pushover. I understand that him getting steamrolled was probably just an excuse for the girls to have their time in the spotlight (which is also why both Chloe and Lloyd were conveniently locked out of the fight), but did they have to make Kanata look like such a pansy in the process?

Just like I said in the discussion for the last episode. The sorry excuse for a leader did exactly as I feared she would. Completely squander the potential of an up and coming squad. She essentially voids their overall victory in the tournament. Took all of the rewards/potential rewards away from them, and to add insult to injury, she probably, for the second time now, didn't give them credit for playing a part in taking down the big baddie. Someone needs to vote her the fuck out of her position because she's clearly not up to the job.

What a disappointing finale.

Animation in fight scenes are very poor, but it´s Diomedea, so that is to be expected. They only want to make easy money, but invest very little money, effort and time in action scene animation.
I am someone that would like to watch a Harem Anime with 2 male leads that each gets their own harem company of girls from the main cast. For example, 1st male lead gets a company of 4 girls and 2nd male lead gets 2-3 girls etc.

Anyway, i like this show and want a SS2. Hope we will get info about SS2 after the OVA come.

This was handled so badly!
I don't know if the LN really is like this, but the animation and the quality, not to mention the pacing, everything besides the characters and Voices was terrible.

I actually feel that this show should have had a better studio doing it.

Watched this only for Kanata, and only if I could find out why he was a traitor and what happened to him. But I guess they'd rather just hide that behind one line even though it seems that Yuri understood instantly.

Oh well. 3/10.

And so comes the end of the anime, I thought in the last episode Kanata show a little more of their power and prove to be badass, but in the end were the girls who defeated the villain

I was really interested in the storyline and quite liked some characters too, but the animation found very poor and quite childish, I think there was a much bigger potential but was wasted, well, I hope one day to follow the manga and especially read the LN to confirm that adaptation could be better, now is waiting for the OVA and monitor the development of this series ..

The story used some brains when developing the team members by massaging out their weakpoints, but the screenplay and animation (not art) were pretty bad throughout. Good example of a source material that is probably pretty good, but the adaption face-planted.

That bit with the cake was worth it though.

This show wasn't going to end very well... Oh, didn't i mention?

One thing I would like to talk about is about measuring how good an anime adaptation of an LN series could be. It is measured, in my opinion, of how many readers could finish reading the first volume without stalling for a long time or quitting. For example, when I read vol 1 of Kuusen for the first time, I finished reading it in a few days, since the heroines were likeable, especially Lecty, Rico, Chloe and Yuri, and I also liked the sense of speed and intenstity in the action
scenes, as well as Chloe and Kanata´s OP magic blasts and sword techniques. However, when i read Juuou Mujin no Fafnir LN vol 1 for the first time, i only read halfway before giving up, since the story is too boring, the heroines lack charisma and character, and the MC is too serious, robotic, and lacks humor, compared to Kanata. The interactions in Fafnir also seemed pretty forced, unnatural and robotic, compared to Kuusen, which has far more funny and interesting dialogue in slice of life scenes. So, since Fafnir vol 1 was so boring and bland for my taste, I dropped it. Now, i have watched both series´ anime adaptations, and my reviews of both mirrored my LN reviews. Juuou is more boring, bland and uninteresting compared to Kuusen. In fact, almost all harem animes are better than Fafnir. That includes Seirei Tsukai, if you just ignore the super-annoying Claire Rouge. She is my most hated anime character so far, but at least the series as a whole was far more interesting and entertaining than Crapnir. Absolute Duo was good, and the characters are much better than Fafnir, but the plot was too cliche and ordinary compared to Seirei Tsukai and Kuusen. Both Kuusen and Seirei Tsukai would have suffered the same fate of a cliche plot driven by harem icha icha, which could get repetitive after a long time, but surprise elements like Jio Inzagi, Velsaria, cool OP MC like Kamito and Kanata, and crazy stalker keeps pulling us back for more.

Pity, that would mean that you never read the Blade Dance LN. Claire undergoes a slow character development each volume.

Translation: She becomes less annoying as the story develops, slowly returning to her original, soft-spoken, self, in case you didn't notice in the anime. It wasn't really obvious until volume 10-11, where she only had subtle changes in her personality until

You can't really hate her once you know Claire from 4 years ago(before the Calamity Queen incident). Well, not like I hated her at all.

Kanata rarely fights in this series, he only fights when he has to and usually just stay on the sidelines. I believe the only time he fought using his full strength again was in V4.

Japanese boards commented on how the sense of speed in the action scenes are quite slow, even though this is aerial combat and flying http://blog.livedoor.jp/fumunizi/archives/1040953819.html?p=2 DBZ and Bleach depicted faster flying action animation scenes. Diomedea deserves to go bankrupt and put out of business for big failure and dissapointing viewers.

So, my final conclusion is, the LN version of Kuusen has better depiction of action scenes, but the anime version is slightly funnier and more lighthearted feeling. So, if you want better action, read the LN instead. Japanese in LN can be understandable once learning japanese for half a year focusing on Kanji and grammar first. Vocabulary and idiom knowledge will only grow with every Nihongo sentence you read.

One thing I like about Kuusen´s magic system is the fact that wizards require those magic-absorbing specially-produced alchemy weapons to channel their magic power to effective output in combat. That is like traditional fantasy magic system, in which a mage requires a staff or some other magical weapon to channel, use or cast magic. An example is like Harry Potter, where they would be totally defenseless in a fight without their wand. Also, In some RPGs, there are some powerful staff that amplifies magic output overwhelmingly, so even a low-class mage with low magic power can deal mid-class magic attacks using that powerful staff. If a high-level mage uses that weapon, it will dish out insane level of magic attacks due to amplifying what was already high-level magic in the first place.
