Hate is not the right word, sad is more appropriate. It is sort of like watching someone tells a joke that fails, it actually hurts to see them twist in the wind when no one laughs.

That is what this show is. I have no doubt that the ending is going to have some twist, but the problem is that extremely few people will care at that point. Any twist will have no meaning since there really hasn't been any character development or plot for people to become invested in. The only thing I think anyone really is anticipating is Black Lizard X Akechi doujinshi and Koyabayashi trap hentai.

Intersting that Akechi see puppets while Kobayashi see siluetes, they are quite similar.
Why Kobashi uses girl clothes now? it seems like it was only for the fanservice, why they didn't make her/him a girl instead?

The show is definitly not great, just weird, but I think i can watch it till the end, just a regular seasonal anime.

There is so much good in this show, but all the crappy parts overshadow it. By this point I think I'd be weirded out if the horrible humor didn't show up randomly.

I almost want to raise the score I've set, however I just can't. Maybe I can raise this to at least a 6 by the end . . . or maybe not.

Either way I can't stop watching and I can't figure out why. Maybe because I actually find Akechi interesting, even though Kobayashi became boring after the second episode. We get it, you think murder and solving cases are fun and everything else is boring . . . bleh.

It's the Pandora box paradox. When Pandora opened the box, all the evils of the world flew out, she immediately closed the box, trapping hope within.

Paradox: hope is considered a good thing, why was it in a box of all the evils?

Because hope causes you to put up with things long after you would have otherwise quit. For you there is still enough originality to cause you to hope that something will come and rescue the show, so despite the "crappy parts" and "horrible humor" you will preserver until the bitter end. It's the same hope that causes women to put up with abusive husbands, that prevents people from taking a minor loss instead of holding on until the bitter end, and why countries and people forget the lessons of the past and make the same mistakes in the future. When hope causes one to avoid reality, it is destructive, and that is why it is evil.

But enough Stoic Philosophy!!!

For your sake I hope this show redeems your hope, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I'd love to know the answer to that since it doesn't really seem like it'll effect the anime at all. I haven't read the novels but if he's the same there then it doesn't seem like it'll effect them either.

No, in the novels he is the perfect 13 year old, some though do consider him the prototypical "pretty boy". He does though, because he is so young, help Akechi at times by dressing as a Japanese girl, but that was more on the "trick" line than the "trap" line.

But in that we now live in an era where "trap" is more popular than "trick", we get the trap. I had thought that this was going to be used to a better advantage than it has so far, unfortunately we may not get any more development on that theme.

Black Lizard somehow reminds me of Meiko from Prison School/Kangoku Gakuen because they both have big tits and release bodily fluids when on the brink of arousal.

The characters are fucking ridiculous particularly forcing Kobayashi as a cutesy trap but failing horribly is undeniably annoying. I'm more interested in the bad guys and how they meet their end. I'm most interested in Twenty Faces until some new antagonists pop up.

Gotta add one of them, I think the ED. Elsewhere this episode really was at all places, so random...
Well I hope they'll build on it.

Kobayashi wearing a dress is only for fanservice right? I think it's unnecessary on this episode. What I like about this episode is a lot of screen time for Black Lizard. And also some parts about Akechi.

I an see why this anime is not 10/10, far to many issues/annoyances, but the fact it's 6.5/10.0 is crazy to me.

Akechi seems to care about someone from his past, Kagami, and...

Dude totally going to propose to Kobayashi in the future. Also I am still beyond confused why Kobayashi is a "guy" when 100% of what we see with him leads us and everyone around him that he's a girl. I agree that dress and swimsuit is definitely better than that uniform (likely more comfortable)

4/5, episode was mostly annoying me but still good.
