| Kumiko was adorable this episode. Especially when she realized she was being tricked. XD Asuka is awesome as always. And an unexpected ship set sail! I hope it stays minor though. Taki-sensei is awesome in a wicked way. Auditions? Yes! Break seniority rules - like Kumiko says he's seriously aiming for nationals. :) |

| I kind of ship Shuuichi x Kumiko but I don't think it will happen? I think Hazuki does have a chance especially if Kumiko has no feelings for Shuuichi. I like Taki-sensei as well but I'm not sure if I want to ship him with anyone. |
| As much as I am a sucker for osananajimi pairings (like I literally root for them in almost series I come across), it doesn't feel right here. Partially because I think they're trying to make it clear that Kumiko and Shuuichi are simply osananajimis with no deeper intentions. Mostly because the S.S. KumikoxReina is obviously the main ship of the series and it should stay that way. XP Still doesn't close the possibility of misunderstandings potentially happening between Kumiko and Hazuki assuming Kumiko and Shuuichi get more screentime together. Which would cause more drama amongst the ensemble members. Which appears to be the underlying theme of the series. |

| I really enjoyed this episode. Well, I've enjoyed every episode so far immensely so I'm not surprised. Actually, the first pairing that I shipped here was Kumiko and Shuuichi because they had that scene early on were they physically looked sooo good together. It was that scene where they first met after a while in the usuusual bench with falling sakura blossoms. It was so beautiful. Sooo, i dont really know if I can be able to support Hazuki's crush for Shuuichi. I mean,right now, I ship Kousaka and Kumiko so damn hard for a person who isn't really fond of yuri. They are just that good together but if ever that ship doesn't work out, I'd like Kumiko to just be with Shuuichi. He's basically the Ship B for if Ship A ever sinks. |

What a lovely Hazuki-dedicated episode, being in denial of your own instrument would've definitely been a problem for upcoming auditions. |

| A tad bit slow this episode, but the focus on Kousaka learning more about maintaining and playing tuba was certainly very nice! Reminds me a bit how sometimes I don't like to bass alone for certain songs that I need to practice for unless I'm with other people to hear the whole melody. The audition should be fun next week. ^^ |

I think Asuka is usually fair when it comes to about music. But... I have a question... The Grasshopper had been playing the violin all the time, in other word, wasn't he a notable musician who dedicated his life to music? He starved to death not because he was a bad violinist, I'm sure. :-) |
| Plenty of love flags raised in this episode. One of them were raised when Shuuichi prevented Hazuki from crashing onto the floor with her tuba. Another possibly with the one-to-one scene with Kumiko and Reina. I doubt a proper Yuri relationship will ever happen in a KyoAni-made show though. Asuka remains unmatched as the best girl of this series. Having Hazuki imagine two Midori's was funny, then convincing Kumiko to where the tuba mascot outfit, only to have Midori glomp her like mad! XD Poor Aoi-chan in the last scene. Seems like she's not going to be aiming for the nationals at all, but seeing her shouting out her support to Kumiko was a nice touch though. =) |

| Great episode overall. But what made this episode even more great was the romance! Hope Hazuki's feelings get through to him. And I hope Kumiko has some romance too. <3 |

| Well if hazuki really got it on with shuichi I wouldn't be too enthralled. Not to say I don't like her, this episode clearly defines her as a human being with a passion for blowing tuba-kun instead of her usual caricature self. However Kumiko's relationship with him was done so superbly, entaggled in petty conflicts, conversing in ways how life-long friends sound, mean-spirited but most of the time have your back. Shuichi looks like he also has a thing for Kumiko maybe. Picture this instead of Shuichi saving Hazuki almost destroying an expensive tuba, we see him comforting Kumiko when she ultimately breaks down from being such a pessimistic downer. Would you ship that? Just saying shoujo cliches. Also just because I don't want red string of fate turn out to be a reality. |

| Excellent performance once again. At least I do, I am sure, feel the crescità history and interpersonal relationships in all their forms of expression. The slow pace of the narrative I do not mind it seems that it is good for the philosophy of interpretation determined by the director. Good work by KyoAni that does not disappoint, showing a consistently high quality drawings and animations. Good also the success of the characters, which do not clash with the context. Soundtrack good. I really appreciate this splash of love at the end. |

| A bit cliched but beautifully executed. Kumiko is increasingly adorable. Still the best series this season. |

We have the best of all worlds: dirty Asuka (yes, best girl - that is not going to change), Kumiko and Reina shipping fuel (BLUSH! CALLED IT! LIKE, WHAT! YURI SHIPPING FEELS UNTIL KYOANI SINKS IT AGAIN!) and the cute Hazuki and Shuichi pairing. Sigh. Such goodness. Why can't every day be Wednesday. Or Tuesday evening. Looking forward to auditions. Those are every musician's nightmare. Panel of pretentious musicians (supposedly) telling you you don't deserve to be first chair or concertmaster because you can't sightread Paganini or anything with more than five flats given less than 15 seconds. That is because, if you don't like to starved, you should quit playing the musical instrument and get a different job that could give you some food and money. Kyoani's plots are rather simplistic. You might think there's more to Aoi's frankness and cryptic messages. But the clues of her character are already showing. She's being pushed hard by her parents and is juggling cram school, band work, and good grades. Which means her life is scheduled 24/7. She failed an entrance exam to a prestigious high school, so I'm sure she's been admonished and pushed harder by a "tiger mother" and/or "Asian dad." |

| Dammit, you know when you expect a show to be real good and end up holding off watching it cause you have too much on your plate, just to give in to temptation, start midway when you found some time, and instantly blow through half the season in 3 hours..... and have to wait for the NEXT episode.... yeah, I think I messed up somewhere.... I rewatched episodes 5 and 6 twice already.... This show is really entertaining for an SOL. I love the expressions and the interactions that the band members have with one another, and Himiko seriously has the most comical expressions I've seen in a while, even with little to no drama. Personally love Midori's character the most, but they're all very well written. I also love how well they draw the scenery, and all the little nuances of the girls, from hair flicks, to happy skipping on the sidewalk, to even rocking on a chair when talking in the classroom. Heck, even a drop of water in a filled basin looks fantastic here. Anyway, too much to love about this show, be they comical scenes or serious ones. Midori is love, Midori is life! I'm guessing she gave herself the Sapphire name to change her image, but the very name is embarrassing herself to no end here. Best Scenes this Episode: Tuba is Love   Ruby and Diamond Kawashima... XD  Hazuki and her balancing act  Chibi Himiko  And of course that Hazuki-Shuichi moment  |

| Easily the best episode so far. It was fun, the character interactions were silly and entertaining, and I liked Hazuki's development. Even the comedy flowed well. I really didn't see the Shuuichi thing coming. When Hazuki glanced at him walking down the hall I brushed it off as her thinking she wished she could have fun as well. But wow, that was a slap to the face at the end. No subtlety whatsoever. Not that I don't mind it, in fact it's pretty cute. As I've said before, Hazuki is one giant ball of adorableness. My only issue now with it is that it feels like it closes the door on Shuuichi and Kumiko's possible relationship. I liked the dynamic they had going honestly. I'm just hoping this doesn't lead to yuri garbage with Kumiko and Reina. Hopefully Reina continues to thirst for the teacher. Hoping Hazuki works hard and can pass her audition. |
