I'm glad that they continued where the OVA left off. I thought they were gonna start off from somewhere.
Yuuji and Asako's past was great. We get to see how Asako changed Yuuji for the better. It's sad that the dog got eaten by bears. Let's just see if they'll stay good like this start.
I haven't even started the VN of Meikyuu and this started already. I have to stay my judging to just this series then.

Principal you mean.
And yeah, he's saved 6.

Good to see Yuuji and Asako's relationship and how she changed him. Sad about John though :(

Those adorable little monsters; they killed and ate John! Those mother fu-- ...I need to calm myself. I still think Yuuji should have killed it, and the cubs. Unlike other bear species, brown bears are of least concern, and are sometimes even killed for food in Japan. The one time Yuuji should have taken revenge but didn't.

I hope they dive more into Yuuji's teenage anti-terrorist soldier years next episode. I want to know more about the other characters he was hanging with near the end of this episode.

LOL Deer shlong. I hope they don't uncensor it, because it's so much funnier that way (just like in the anime Seitokai Yakuindomo).

Meikyuu was great and Rakuen is looking to be great so far. I hope it continues to stay as good as it's been. Yuuji's backstory is very depressing..

Also, that ED song was amazing.

Good episode, but without much action, but gives to realize that this season will be more sentimental than the last, also I did not like Yuuji with a weak personality after becoming a murderer, well, I expect a little more action and Yuuji showing their force next episode ..
Don't go into this expecting a tearjerker once the True route actually starts. It's way more silly and exaggerated than the rest of the series.

I'm glad this picks up right after the OVA and it's focusing more on Yuuji's past. We found out more about Asako too. It was nice to Yuuji smiling and having a fun time with his dog 'John' but it was sad to see the wild bear kill it in front of Yuuji. That moment was way too intense. Yuuji was determined to kill the bear but as he realised the bear was trying to feed her cubs, Yuuji broke down. Man, Yuuji has gone through so much shit for a young kid; it's insane. I'm glad to see Asako is being a great mentor/master to Yuuji though; basically like a mother figure even if she says she isn't a mother to him. JB was also pretty fun and cute. Great ED by fripSide's lead vocalist, I recognised that voice straight away! xD This seems very promising, looking forward to more!

Alright, now THIS was much moreso in line with what I was expecting to see from the sequel, Yuuji's life with Asako in greater detail. Even that life wasn't easy, and he even lost his dog, but to this point things are going much better for Yuuji than before. I'm already dreading the death of Asako though I can tell you that. I've taken a strong liking to her character. Still not much from our girls, aside from the foreshadowing of Yuuji saving them that we saw in the first series, but soon enough I assume.

Kajitsu would(and should) have been way better, but the staff couldnt handle the material and yeah they made them stupid whore girls i guess.

Glasslip is nothin'ness and even without content far more superior watch then a failed adaption with the worst original stuff ever(piss). Ya shoulda be rather pissed off, we didnt get a good adaption of it rather than callin' someone a moron for hatin' it for obvious reasons. :)

Kajitsu actually had a ton of potential which was all wasted. I don't think very many people expected Glasslip to be the best anime ever though..

Well since it's easier by example... Let's just say that Kajitsu anime is the same as if Clannad + Clannad afterstory were compressed into 13 episodes.
I'm not even joking since they have the same length.

Now what if you saw clannad+ afterstory with 46 episodes and loved it but 99% of people saw a clannad+afterstory in 13 episodes and complain about it. How would you feel?

Edit: Made a mistake with the quotes.

I guess we will get 2 more eps of Meikyuu (1 for army training / war; 1 for CIRS work and Asako aftermath), then 1 more half-Meikyuu / half-Rakuen (Oslo landing, embassy), which makes it at least 5 eps total for Meikyuu and question why did they separate it from first episode of Meikyuu and call rest "Rakuen" still stands.

Much needed part of Yuuji's backstory. We got the fucked up part, but the time he spent with Asako was definitely the most important.

JB when Yuuji says "save me" and she almost gets a nosebleed and then spoon feeds him.

This 1 episode was better then Grisaia no Kajitsu all together
(except maybe some of the episodes in the Angelic Howl route)
overall: 9/10 hope they keep it this way and not ruined it, like the
way they rushed things up on Grisaia no Kajitsu adaptation.

(love Asako and JB, the credits scenes were beautiful)

Well, I guess I may as well watch this and get spoiled, since not even Meikyuu is close to being translated, let alone Rakuen.

Amazing first episode. Yuuji's past really is the highlight of this show, I honestly liked every single scene. JB being as awesome as always, little Yuuji was too much for her libido, and it's kinda amusing how she used to wear such conservative clothing before. Asako is a great character, just like Yuuji describes her in Kajitsu - a powerful woman who wouldn't back away even from the king of the jungle. She really did choose the best upbringing for someone like Yuuji, and I love the relationship between them. Yuuji is technically allowed to die now, but hopefully that doesn't happen.

I can't wait for the next episode, though I'm a bit concerned if Rakuen will fit in just 12 episodes. I looked it up on VNDB and saw that it's much shorter than Kajitsu, so it shouldn't present too big of a problem for 8bit.
