God I hate those treacherous scum.

Fuck Hange, Levi, Jean, Mikasa, Connie and Armin.

Will never like those who would throw away the lives of their own people to save their enemies.

That bitch Hange never even had a proper answer to Jean, if they manage to stop Eren, their own people will be exterminated.

Floch best character.
Yep. their hypocrisy is killing me.

The mangaka completely destroyed the characters. Almost everything happening in this last arc is nonsense.

Finally decided to watch the anime now that its complete cause I had heard the adaptation (at least up to the 3rd season) was stellar. And it was.
Now I've reached the parts I hated in the manga as well and just going through them to get this done and go back to pretending AoT ended when they finally reached the sea for the first time.

I didn't really like Magath before, but his development has definitely been solid. His interactions with the warrior candidates have slowly humanized him, particularly his fondness for Gabi & Falco. My only minor gripe is when fundamentally Western characters are using Japanese mannerisms, such as Magath's apology bow. It's a tiny detail hardly worth mentioning, but it does break the immersion even if only for a split second.

The whole situation with Conny & Samuel was gutting. In the same way Conny has felt constantly betrayed by friends who did what they thought was necessary, the roles are now reversed and Conny is playing the role of the comrade turned traitor. The Jeagerists aren't wrong to feel double crossed either, as the notion of stopping Eren doesn't even register nor is there any upside for Paradis in stopping now. Their faction - and Floch in particular - are worth an entirely different post as I've found them to be the most fascinating group in the entirety of AoT.

This anime is getting more and more intense... Bringing more and more ethical problems, at this point, I don't even know in what I believe... But I think I'm more towards the Alliance side, because continuing the cicle of violence, by moving on with a mass genocide is not correct. Is just doing to Marleyans what they wanted to do with Eldians.
It's so cool to finally see the Female Titan again, after about 50 episodes. And those battle scenes were just epic! Reiner and Annie really do make up a great team.
And of course the plan goes wrong, we can never have a peaceful way to make things work out, isn't it? :(
But the highlight of the episode is the last scene with Connie, shooting his comrades, betraying their trust. We are on the side of the protagonists, but the truth is that both Samuel and the other one believed in Connie and Armin, and even after knowing they weren't on their side, they hesitaded on killing them. Connie was the 1st one that had the courage to pull the trigger. It's harsh. That last scene, with Connie breaking down was devestating to see...
In the beginning, this anime was just "let's kill the Titans, they are mindless killing monsters" and now it has turned to scouts killing each other...
This anime is truly something else.
Can't wait to see the next episode!

Holy crap, that was a very sad episode. Friends and comrades killing friends and comrades... 😔
I imagine Erwin Smith will be rolling in his grave...
It seems Armin accessed an important memory of Bertolt due to his NDE.
Are all humans monsters after all when push comes to shove?
Eldian blood or not?

Very good episode, I hope that Magath has already said everything from his heart and I like that they tried not to fight and avoid a massacre but hey, as Bertholdt said: someone has to stain their hands with blood

Harrowing episode, being forced to kill your friends for the "greater good".
You just know it absolutely destroyed them, especially Connie and Armin there.

Captain Magath was speaking real solid truths during his apology/monologue. Their conversation about having to attack and kill their comrades was really well done, and a nice meditative piece before actually getting into the action. The final few minutes are fucking heartbreaking.

Heartbreaking episode! I cried at the last scene.😭 That aside, the action-packed scenes were amazing! As usual, you can always count on Mikasa.

Also, Armin and Conny's worried looks were freaking me out!

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!

Damn man... this one was hard to watch
- The attack did not go as planned...
- Seeing Reiner and Annie use their titan's together was sick! The female titan looks great in mappa form.
- Man, I literally let out an "oh... Connie" when he shot his friend like that. The two shots afterward were traumatic af...

WTF is Daz doing man?!?!?!???!! How did that Connie even overpower that other guy?!! Is it worth killing your friends to save a bunch of strangers? No. I'm with the Jaegerists on this.

Terrible ending to one of the most promising series of all time. Starting from the 2nd half of 3rd season AoT was going downhill but the final season was just bad (although still watchable) and the final final utterly terrible. Author took huge smelly dump on his own creation, although from the very start he was trying his best for us to not like Eren. Since the moment Eren became a titan he's become a crying, annoying, pathetic young man (more like a kid) that had nothing to do with Eren from the first episodes. His sole purpose was to make all other characters look better and even though some of his actions were cool, Isayama made sure that it would occur rarely and the spotlight would be on someone else.

In general it can be seen that the author was making shit up as he went from a certain point and was trying to milk as much money out of it as he could. Introduction of Falco and Gabi (so whole final season) was one big, bad filler (it had its moments but why would I care at this point about some totally new characters that were only added to prolong the series) and Eren's actions were in contradiction to all that he stood for before. I can bet that many people would tell me that I just didn't get it but the truth is they don't see how cheap and illogical this is. "I'll destroy the world so that there would be peace and you would be heroes" served in some mumbo-jumbo prophecy way is just terrible.

All in all author shat on his characters and his story to manifest some anti-war propaganda and I can't think of a worse way to end the series.

Not to mention that he left too many things unanswered probably because he was too tired to make an effort. Add to this excessive use of plot armor (Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Levi, Zeke, etc.) or deus ex machina (like Falco being able to fly suddenly).

Contain intense scene this time. I like when Annie and Reiner spawn, it feels like nostalgia with Rampage on PSone. Basically the plan fail and they need to dirty their hands once again. seems interesting stuff going on.
