The last episode. We will see what it can do. It is currently teetering between 9 and 10. He splits himself apart to pull off another attack. If he tries to use human common sense in this fight, he’s going to regret it. They are engaged in a battle across time. Two numbers face off. Perhaps he is being given a chance. Actions are the only thing that matter. He must find a way to stop this. Almost time to keep her promise. But she still believes in him. Monched once again. A hand reaches his in the abyss. He breaks free from his body. And redeclairs his humanhood. Even so he never gave up. He tries harder and Cares deeper than anyone else. He held her hand. He has the most humanity. She trusts him with her life. He would rather die as a human than fully become the monster. The only conclusion is that he has a monster, but it is yet to be determined if he is an enemy. Their forces must act at maximum efficiency. Precedent means nothing in such a situation. Six was responsible for the top commanders tragedy. She needs to get stronger so she can stop him if she needs to. He lives on. He already knew. He has perfected chess. The next phase of their plan. Time to bring the kaiju power that festers within humanity back to the kaijus. At least a nine I’ll have to see if I think counts is at 10. I wish it was a bit longer, but it wasn’t bad in this concise form, I guess I wish that the second season was sooner. Freak/Flip it. I’ll give it a ten for now, it’s a weak 10, but I think it barely deserves it currently. It’s not top 10 but it’s close enough. It is still very much a possibility that it drops down to a strong, nine. As I wasn’t completely blown away, but I was quite impressed. I have been known to have a slight regency bias, although I don’t know if this applies here. The only theoretical flaw that I can come up with is that it is quite predictable quite often, but for me, this was never in an annoying way, and so I don’t currently know of any direct flaws. (I didn’t see the big mass in the sky coming, if I had I would have been annoyed but I didn’t do it doesn’t apply.) For example, generally, the predictability came in me, hoping that something would happen and then it did , when the child was scared I thought to myself it would be crazy if she thanked him, and then she did, the same thing with the salute towards the end, it was also obvious that the one girl was going to end up in trouble, and this would be the thing that inspires him to transform , but the reason it was obvious was because it was set up so well. Some of the surprise scenes are quite similar, but I believe they are different enough to not feel repetitive and that they work quite well. One could make the argument that it has one of if not the greatest intro, For some reason, this intro was recommended to me months ago, and I watched it then, but with the context of the show, it’s a bit better. Usually I think 3d in anime is bad but the distinction between the intro and the rest worked well, additionally, I was only rarely able to identify it when it was in the show portion. My main issue previously being that it was always obvious and jarring when it was used. It was not here . The music is great, Even though I am generally a musician by trade, I rarely find myself noticing the music in shows, although here the music consistently I was able to observe enhancing scenes significantly. Number nine and number 10 are two of my favorite character designs in anything. And all the rest are great as well. It is extremely fast paced, but I would consider that a positive aspect, it didn’t feel like it was too fast. It tells a high-quality story simply and efficiently. The only episode that got a 4 was the character development one which was necessary and only got it because it didn’t actively impress me. But I’m not sure how it would have been better. It just had to happen and get out of the way for the rest of the show. It isn’t the most original of concepts, although the core concept is something that is always going to heavily appeal to me, so for me it didn’t have to be original. It just had to do it well and it did. 5 |
