| Well, unsurprisingly, Clannad goes about setting up its drama in the most contrived way possible, again; this time being, nobody fucking telling Sunohara about how Sanae is Nagisa's MOTHER. No well intentioned friend in their right mind would continue to lead him on into thinking that Sanae's just her older sister. If they truly cared about helping Youhei improve his relationship with his younger sister Mei, then they wouldn't go along with such a stupid plan to begin with. However, even if I delude myself into accepting the premise that Youhei's friends are well intentioned and truly believe that this fake girlfriend plan is a good idea, I still can't accept the fact that they would deliberately mislead him about who Sanae is. Seriously, wtf is wrong with Tomoya and Nagisa? I just can't wrap my head around it. At this point, possibly the only way that this plot thread can redeem itself for me would be if during the (obviously upcoming) aftermath of the fake girlfriend plan, Youhei had a revelation about how his "friends" never actually cared about him, causing him to spiral into a serious depression and eventually commit suicide, forcing Tomoya and company into reflecting on all of their dumbass choices; maybe it could even go so far as to having Tomoya, in the wake of (who he believed to be) his best friend's suicide, gets depressed himself, and decides to also commit suicide as some sort of ass-backwards redemption logic. Yeah, that'd certainly be an interesting twist. Then again, Youhei—scratch that—the entire cast act like emotionally illiterate elementary schoolers most of the time, so honestly, I have a hard time caring about any of their interpersonal relationships, but I'm still curious to see how this plays out. I'll continue to give After Story the benefit of the doubt, since I would be pleasantly surprised if the writing improved enough to make me care about the characters and/or feel any sort of emotion. After all, I've heard that After Story has been able to win over the hearts of those who didn't like the first season. |

| My god, how is it possible that Sunohara is even funnier than in the prequel? I laughed my head off when he and Sanae started "dating". It is sad that he does feel 'forever alone' though, but Okazaki is such a good friend to him. I am sure he will find a cute girl along the way with such great people by his side to guide him :) |

I want to see a proper ending of Fuko's story so much but it seems to me that I won't get it... At least for now when the plot is so full of such silly twists like this one with all these 'let's help him by finding him fake girlfriend' and so on... |
| Sunohara getting teased and abused was my least favourite part of the first Clannad. Hopefully it doesn't stick around long in After Story and happens mainly in early episodes. |

| What's with this show and its forced tendency to make Sunohara look so pathetic? Sigh*... never liked comedy related to physical abuse and I never will. Quite lame episode, not gonna lie. Not even Sanae in school uniform will change that. |
| This episode was really uncomfortable. I'm with everyone else in that it was pretty shitty for Tomoya to throw Sunohara under the bus by fostering a misconception which affects both him and baseball dad. I've never really been a fan of the more comic scenes involving him, but they haven't been as much of a schadenfreude as they were in this episode. The idea of 'training' for a girlfriend is also pretty bizarre and out there, especially when considering that Sanae is probably three times Sunohara's age. I generally believe that the people who need to 'study' how to get a woman are even less likely to get into a relationship. At the very least, I'm glad to know Sunohara's has finally become based and redpilled. |

| Ahh man the whole episode is just dedicated to Sunohara. He is one of the worst supporting male character so far. Only good for comic relief and Tomoya's bud which is not funny at all. Such a low guy trying to find a girlfriend just to be abused later seems so pathetic and dumb. Especially try to date ur friend's mum wtf. He supposed to know that she is Nagisa's mum. They attend baseball match together last episode right. Nagisa's mum is no different. She is always childish and crybaby character from the beginning. And she agrees to date with him. Ridiculous scenario to pull off. spotlight. |

| Probably the funniest episode from Clannad so far including season 1. Just love the part where Tomoyo didnt give a shit about Sunohara when he went and sit beside him lmao And Sanae is a fking milf, even Tomoya blushes and get embarassed by her beauty. Her character design you can basically pass her off as one of the main student heroine already |
| This episode was very fun, Sunohara never fails to make me laugh, but I can't help but feel a bit uncomfortable anytime I see him being abused, either physically or psychologically. I like slapstick comedy but seeing him being constantly beaten up already got old in the first season. And about him being tricked into thinking he can easily find a girlfriend and Sanae is Nagisa's sister, it's no better. He will obviously find out the truth in one way or another, and how is he going to react ? I wonder if this will lead for the show to aknowledge this constant teasing as actual abuse, because that's totally what it is. |

| So Mei wants her brother to live a good life, and hey seeing a girlfriend with him is a way to go. But first, that bit in the Other World was a bit long, that Robot just got real lonely the second it lost sight with the Girl, so that's that. Of course Kyou and Tomoyo will punch him up as a way of saying their rejection to the offer, and jeez why did you asked Ryou out? She's just dealing from a heartbreak, and that's sad. Anyways Yukine could have been alright, but wow that boi sure is a Yukine defender, sad for her to be marked out. I legit had gone crazy when Sanae-san is trying to make up with Sunohara, THOSE COSPLAYS AND HER WEARING A UNIFORM IS AMAZING. Idk how this will result in a good ending, but hey atleast Mei is buying it, Youhei x Sanae. |

| Poor Sunohara. Always being the butt of the joke. His dynamic with Tomoyo is funny tho. Kotomi being kind as always. She is climbing up my rankings of favorite characters from this show despite me not liking her arc. Aww his fake GF is not gonna be Kotomi? Lol at it being Sanae. The show is still overall 7/10. Sunohara deserves better. But NGL, he is a very funny guy. |

| I'm really split about this episode, on one hand it's way too ridiculous of a setup even for Sunohara, but on the other Clannad's humour is good as always despite the over-the-top scenario. There's also the issue that everyone involved are trying to trick a concerned girl (and sister), which just doesn't sit right w/ me even though I'm sure that she will know by the end and probably go back satisfied with the end result. Fujibayashi is still as bad as ever if not worse, it's almost like after she gave up on Tomoya she's allowing even more of her bad (abusive) side on display. |
