Ore dake Level Up na Ken Season 2: Arise from the Shadow Episode 8 Discussion

Guy is rizzing up girls left, right, and centre lmaoo. In his own world there is Cha Hae-in, and yeah you see the, even in this demon castle which is filled with barbarian beings to the brim, somehow the guy got stumbled upon a cute little girl, who was just *trying* to kill him for a bigger cause:) Though the one gripe I’ve with this series is that it never tried to give much screen time to its side characters. Esil is the newest addition in that bracket of side characters, so yeah, let’s see if the adaptation would take any liberties, like they did with Cha Hae-in’s case.

The ants are out in the open, and yeah, however obvious it was, they’re going to cover Jeju island this season itself… it seems confirmed now. Can’t wait to see that tbh, as it’s almost non-stop action there. Though that being that, I was waiting for the Balan fight. He the big bad final boss of the castle after all. The fight was alright I feel, however it got concluded in this episode itself. I mean they’re NOT missing at all when it comes to fight scenes in this season, so that stuff was as expected, but again, they could’ve extended the fight, at least, till the next episode. Though this episode itself served as a nice set-up to the main thing, which is Jeju island, so I guess, a nice one all things considered.

You know what? With how the narrative has consistently been, I'm not gonna even bother thinking too much about why Jinwoo's dagger didn't just rebound back to him when Esil picked it up to throw it to him to begin with. Hold it, even if it wasn't, why would Baran be so easily distracted by something like that for Jinwoo to just physically overpower him straightaway?

He got a demon to help him out. That was unepxected. She's cute, I wonder if we'll see more of her. The fight was awesome!

Shun taking on more demons for his goals. This guy really has no bounds on how much he wants to achieve this season. Not going to lie, the Demon King with the white dragon's appearance looked really badass.

Shun looked like the underdog at first but he managed to behead that dragon. One of the better fights this season imo. It showed how much Shun has grown in terms of combat skills and is able to fight on same level with the Demon King.

What a good episode. Not sure what's going on with the ant thing - lots of characters and key players what with the different Guilds and the different factions... it's tough to keep up to be honest.

But I find Jinwoo's foray into Floor 90 to be a satisfying watch for one episode. I get that they're managing to fit a lot into single episodes - so I hope they exercise caution in their pacing decisions.
