| As funny as this sounds I like the fact that the plot is simple. Just a dude that wants to stand by his lady friends side. A fun light watch and boy howdy I was not expecting some god tier animation. This might be a sleeper hit for the summer season. |

Animation, Art, Impact Frame, Sound effect, everything was Incredible!! But i hope this Animation quality isn't just for episode one only but stay consistent throughout the first season. |

| I now have a high expectations on this anime. It's good. It has some decent cinematography, and an occasional change in aspect ratio when dealing with flashbacks. I like seeing underdogs overcome their weaknesses. He is already great as a warrior, but I do wonder if we'll see him also become a mage in one of these episodes. |

| No wonder the first shot of the city reminded me of Orario, this was written by Danmachi's author! But so far Will doesn't really seem like Bell - he overcame that fight too easily. He reminds me more of Kirito than anything else. In fact, the whole visual direction is very much like SAO Alicization. I don't have any specific praise for the animation, but the visual direction was appealing, the plot seems promising, and the last time I gave a Fujino adaptation a shot (Danmachi) it became one of my favorites. So might as well keep watching ¯\_(γ)_/¯ |

| This is the first time in a while I've audibly said "Wow" when watching a first episode. This was very impressive. It has a strong visual style, excellent animation, and terrific music and sound design. I'm so glad this isn't an isekai, it's just a good old fashioned fantasy series. That was one of the big draws for me; a fantasy setting with no isekai or dimensional nonsense. I'm also liking the magical school setting as well. I know many have said that the story is basic and cliched, but I'm more than willing to give it a chance after this first episode. It's all about how the story is told. I'm interested in the world itself too, with what appears to be a crumbling spell in the sky from the Mages, the MC's childhood friend up in the tower, and the school itself. I think it's easy to draw comparisons to Danmachi due to the clumsy and meek MC accompanied by magic/action. Overall, the strongest first episode I've seen in some time. Very excited to watch more. |
| Interesting, So this series is gonna be about some dude with nearly no Talent with magic, but somehow still attends a "magic school" by way of "written exams", however possess super human strength... And magic is "power, justice, whatever other bullshit they got" Basically... this is another version of "Mashle" huh... In fact... the anime name for this series is... Wistoria's Wand and Sword While Mashle's name is... Mashle: Magic and Muscle very similar huh... lol . Also, huh... we sure are getting more and more "MC getting left behind by their childhood female friend" huh... And... that story about the "invader"... I wonder what's up with that... Since they "cover up the sky"... aka, sealing a giant part of the world in some sort of bubble? Wonder if the invaders are still there... outside of the bubble... This strangely gives me "TTGL vibes"... LOL |

| I wanted to make a joke about this beeing Mashle S3, but this is totally going to be an actual good show, isnt it? I love it when magic shows actually feel magical. The world does it for me! Animation is also good. Beeing able to fail exams and just make up for it with credits is of course nonsense but lets just go with it. Blatant exposition dump through lame dialogue is not my cup of tea. Yeah it has potential and the animation hard carries it. |

| Going to be generic by calling the plot generic. I don't really mind if others have done a similar plot, it's all in the execution, but at least as far as the story goes it didn't distinguish itself or even really try. Although I did like that it didn't pull any punches by splattering Dollar Store Crabbe and Goyle against the cave like cherry pie. Also that the main character hesitated to save Draco and thought about leaving him to die. Those give me a little bit of hope things will get a little more interesting with the story. Plus... invaders from the sky in a fantasy setting sounds intriguing. I want to know more. Oh well, if the production values, music, and overall execution stay this good even if the the story's just borderline decent I'll still be a happy viewer. I almost passed on this one and I'm glad I didn't or why would've missed out on that fight. |
| This has to be the most fluid animation I've seen in a while, Amazing premiere! Typical underdog story but I'm all here for it. Very much reminded me of Asta from Black clover. |

| A great first episode, I will definitely continue this. The reconciling of wand and sword ha? Interesting concept! It looks like in the next episode Professor Dickhead will challenge Will to a magic vs brawn duel, to prove magic is superior. And most likely Professor Dickhead will lose.. |

| Amazing opening episode as expected from Tatsuya Yoshihara. The plot is basic but very cool. Can't wait for the next episode. Amazing animation and direction as well. Beautiful OST was making the episode stand out even more. |

| Bunch of very common tropes thrown in together to create this. - - In a world of magic, the MC who is enrolled to a magic school can't use magic for some reason but has inhuman physical strength and agility - that's Mashle - MC has a female childhood friend that he made a promise with, said childhood friend is now at the top while the MC is still at the bottom - that's Kaiju #8 - MC grinds/farms dungeons just to get by - Solo Leveling Lol I didn't even need to look for old animes these are all recent ones. And they're all on Netflix including this. And outside of anime - that redhead bully and his two sidekicks are ofc Malfoy and his two goons come on. I did however, like that he hesitated to help his bully. It shows his humanity I guess. And also the animation of that battle was very well done. |

| First episode and I think we're off to a good start! I personally haven't watched any anime focused on wizards, so I was really interested in watching this anime, and I must say that I was pleased with this episode! The plot doesn't seem to be that big of a deal, but it's good enough, a bit generic, but good. I have taken quite a liking to some characters now, and I especially love the cat. I was really surprised by the animation of this anime though, it's really good, and the fight scene was amazing! That really made me want to watch the second episode! Since episode 2 is already available, I'm going to watch right away, but my expectations for this anime are now high, because the plot has some potential, and the animation has been really good, so this anime has everything to be a really enjoyable anime, especially because I'm loving this wizard focused plot (although people are saying it's generic, for me it doesn't really affect me, because I really haven't watched any anime with a plot like this). I'm glad I gave this anime a go! |

| People will call stuff good and bad these days just because of the animation, the story no longer matters. This is the most generic, rip off I have seen so far, is the magicless MC the new isekai harem genre? They couldn't even think of something original, the MC with no magic, the typical bully, the MC's wish of getting to the top and the cherry on top, this show, unlike mashle (which is a good comedy) actually takes itself seriously. |

| It's the classic underdog story. Although it's crazy they let them into the magic academy in the first place. The action in this episode was way better than I imagined. Just wow. |
