| Promising character interactions and worldbuilding, but that scene with the troll was confounding. Why was this savage, uncontrollable troll deliberately placed in the middle of a parade in a fortified city, and why was there no one strong enough to supervise such a dangerous creature? It wasn't under any restraints, resulting it in killing two dogs and nearly killing Katie as well. Moreover, why was it simply recaptured instead of being killed outright? If such a beast attacks everything in the immediate vicinity without discrimination, then it wouldn't even be useful as a military animal, thus making it a liability. Hopefully there's a comprehensive explanation for why this troll was set loose in what looks like an officially sanctioned parade, because there hasn't been any thus far. |

| The whole beginning has irked me so far. I can live with it being heavily inspired by Harry Potter, but the actions of characters, how the actions take place and situations are so dumb. One guy asks people to be quiet so he can read during a parade. For some reason there's no staff around to diffuse the situation, even though they're parading magical beasts around. When the Ogre is about to hit, he instead stands around for a minute waving his hands around. It's like this all the way through so far. If it continues this series is a no for me. EDIT: Yea, this series is a no go. Got to the middle of episode 2 and it's just not interesting. Many of the characters are annoying including the main character. |

| Hello my old friend Summer 2023, how I miss the shows it held, but this one was not among them, so I’m happy to be going back for it nearly two years later, I’m just fashionably late lol. But this one wasn’t one I was particularly interested in at the time, so I probably wouldn’t have gotten to it for a long time if it wasn’t for someone recommending it to me, so here I am now, and as of right now this is looking to be a pretty good watch, to start JC Staff seems to have done a pretty good job on the art and animation, it looks like they took good care of this one in that regard. And the cast seems nice, they all just kinda met on the way to school and started hanging out after that, but that’s kinda realistic, your best friend at school can just be someone you sit next to in class. I will say tho, Katie’s first impression wasn’t good, one of the first things she does is preach about troll rights, and her response to Guy’s protest that trolls attack his land is that it was theirs first, okay lol you can go eat at the lonely kids’ table, but thankfully for her these folks are more understanding than I am, hopefully she gets better over time. The one that stood out the most tho was Nanao, I just finished watching Rurouni Kenshin and she’s basically a female version of Kenshin, I really like her and her personality is fun, but it is odd for a samurai to be something that exists in this Harry Potter-ish world, but hey I think that’s really cool at the same time, really looking forward to more of her, fanservice at the end was nice too lol. And as for Oliver, not much to say about him yet, pretty standard MC at the moment, but I’m interested in learning more about him as well. |

| @TheColonel76 yeah, surprisingly JC staff did a fine job, considering it's a JC staff, but it's just the first episode, they ruin everything they touch, so eventually it will get to this anime. Yeah, they kinda befriended each other out of nowhere, yeah. Not sure about it being realistic, I always found it to be out of place. Didn't like Katie? She might seem like an annoying activist. There are plenty of people like her in real life, who are right in what they preach, but can get annoying Nanao is from the east. Not sure if harry potter has a west vs east thing. Basically Bokuto Uno's own twist to the story. |
