| I like the girl's cute giant vibe. These two are completely mismatched but...I will suspend my disbelief for now. This boy has problems. | Takagi: Teasing Edgelord Edition. It was actually a pretty fun start though. A bit raunchier than I expected with the other boys (especially the chubby chaser), but it's having some cute moments already. The way Yamada egged Ichikawa on in the "cat fight" was pretty rich. |

| FINALLY!! The first episode of Bokuyaba has been released. I love the manga, and when they confirmed the anime I was definitely going to watch it. I really liked the first episode, it was really good. The opening is nice. (Chapters 1 to 6 of the manga adapted (Chap. 4 only the first part))     |

That being said, it seems to me that the show understands the protagonist is cringey and that's probably the whole point. As we've already seen with two of the other characters, this show seems to be going for the somewhat unique approach (for an anime) of using cringe-humor, or at the very least humoring cringe as a plot device. ... All true stuff. But the show still becomes really good as it progresses. |

| Good lord, this has to be one of the cringiest episodes I've seen in awhile. I'm still going to give it the 3 episode rule as a lot of people are hyping this anime but man, it was rough to watch. |

All the ingredients that make the show great are there in that first episode, some people are a bit slow picking up on what's going on but get there in the end. Others will simply never find the character's motivations and actions compelling. |
