That was a humorous episode. I honestly thought there was a weapon inside Kuroh's briefcase. LOL at how he doesn't wipe off the painting on his eye. I didn't expect Kuroh to be able to cook but that was a nice episode.

Didn't like this episode as much as the first one, but that's pretty much because I still am not entirely sure as to what is going on. I think they're keeping us clueless to signify how the MC feels right now (why the hell is some random ass swordsman chasing me? who the hell is that guy that looks exactly like me? why is this sexy naked girl with me?) but I'm thinking the next episode might actually have ~plot~. That said I liked the "little sister" move Shiro did, the chasing scenes, and the swordsman v. skater fight. That said I'm hoping we get a return of Mikoto (because he's badass) next episode and some more awesomess.

Found it as cool looking as episode one and I love the music...but I am getting this feeling episode 3 is going to be ponytail guy lives in white haired guys dorm, and another pointless episode. This is going to be 13 episodes right? Isn't it moving to slow? I am not sure how many cool looking pointless episodes there can be...from the amount of discussion going on, this anime iS dissapointing at the moment.

I still have no idea what this show is supposed to be about, but this was still an enjoyable episode. Neko, my biggest fear, did not come off as annoying as i thought she would be. Tons of fanservice, but not obnoxious. Also, her powers are rather amusing.
Props to Shiro for not being a complete dumbass and outsmarting sword guy.

This looks like it is going to turn out to be the best anime of the season, in my opinion. Yata (the guy with the skateboard) is definitly my favorite so far.

I still have no clue what this anime is about, but I don't mind I initially picked this up for the bishies anyway. This show is entertaining and I liked this episode much better than the first. I was laughing throughout the episode.

The visuals and OST are still great and somehow because this show never even tried to explain or reason much suspension of disbelief is pretty easy. The result is that I'm able to enjoy the flashiness and unpredictability of the plot without knowing if there will ever be much substance to it. 13 Episodes seem short to flesh out a story in a setting like this anyway, so I don't necessarily need them to even try to be able to enjoy this.
Neko is a bit annoying however, especially appearing out of nowhere like this without explanation. Her teleportation ability is cool though.
I probably regret this post by now.

This episode established the relationship between Yashiro, Kuroh and Neko (I assume them to be our "core team" in this series). That wall part was pure hilarious... I lol'd.

This episode is necessary to get us to know more about our main characters (with comedy as the device). To some it may look like a filler episode, but IMO these three characters just got few times more likeable after this episode, at least their names successfully changed from "white haired guy", "black haired guy", and "fanservice girl" to Yashiro, Kuroh and Neko in people's minds . It's very important for the scriptwriters/director to make us sympathize with the main characters (so that the future events may have bigger impact to us), and this episode is trying to do that by inserting loads of comedy.

The episode is funny, I'll get it that.
I'm still hook on the mysteriousness that is so
important about the guy Shiro looks like (if it's
really not him) but I hope they get around to
actually explaining the signifcance soon or
the series will just be about everyone chasing
Shiro for nothing.

Kuro running into the wall and his face and eyelids being drawn on... actually made me burst out laughing.

This was pretty funny... although I really don't know what to expect from this anime. Comedy, drama, sci-fi or just pure fanservice? (I didn't mind the Neko fanservice 'cause I love cats and stuff :D, but if it continues like that...Idk)
I liked this episode, but I'd really like to see some plot development in the next episode, since this show has only 13 episodes overall.

Thought the episode was alright in the beginning, till Angela's singing ruined it for me in the fight scene. I like her, but I don't think the OP song fits the mood. Its a downfall afterwards.

Another bad episode. Even though the protagonist showed some intelligence at the beginning, he was still dumb and annoying trough the rest of the episode. Kuroh is probably the shittiest assasin ever and the comedy in this episode was not funny at all. But whats worse is that there barely is a plot at all.

I thought it was a great episode with very funny moments. The fact Kuro isn't actually a "dark and mysterious" character is very pleasing. He's just a klutzy airhead, that's so cute :3

I don't understand why everybody is complaining about the fact there wasn't much "plot"... I mean, this is the second episode. This was mostly comedy.
Also, the show not taking itself too seriously is a great thing. It'd be boring otherwise.

Ignoring the naked girl (Neko) and her mischevious genjutsus, I guess only people with powers can see her, Yatogami could, but the normal person, the person she bumped into that Isano helped with the oranges, couldnt it was a really fun and hilarious episode. Yata Misaki is probably my second favorite character attack and personality wise if he could ever win, though that was actually pretty epic how he can still do stuff without the skateboard and even managed to throw that entire billboard away.

I love Yatogami's and Isana's interactions and budding friendship I bet. The whole chase scene to then back in Isano's room and then the cooking was actually good and my favorite part outside of the fight

Oh and Kusanagi is really great even if all he does it, well just sit and look cool.

Every song is great even the one in english "he got roasted garlic bread breath" and other odd lines.

It is good to see so many drop the anime at this point. Why? Because this episode clearly establishes the tone of the series -- it is not as serious and hard as the initial key visual or setting design seemed at first, and it is good that they show it early and filter out those who find it not to their taste. Personally I find the story quite fine -- a powerful guy who seems cold and powerful failed to catch the main character and ended up being charmed by him is not something new, let's be honest. And the animation, character/background art and BGM are really good (even though the more female-appealing styles and bias towards blue color is not something to my taste).

I would say that given it is a 13-episode anime, taking 6 episodes to flesh out all the characters and their relations makes it at risk of being too rushed for its main plot. Looking at the relation diagram, it may not be as complex as Accel World or Horizon, but it is still more than enough for a 1 cour series.

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

In one word, K is...
FUN
Absoultely beautiful, interesting art, concept, cool characters, great looking girls and guys, nicely animated fights, superpowers, plenty of humor... it's really great.

To hell with plot, moe, darkness, I like K the most this season. It's awesome.

For me, I think I like that the 6 episodes will revolve around establishing the personality and interactions of the characters before we get to the main plot that some people are dying to know right now. It will make me care for the characters more when plot comes crashing down on them. I think they can cover it in 7 episodes if done right and if the plot is not that too complicated. For now, I'm just going to enjoy the ride.

That scene animation of Yashiro's apartment based on how his walls are animated rather than solid color is so awesome. That would be cool if there was something like that in real life to have in your house or apartment as a decoration.

Other than that, I'm still disappointed with the Neko fanservice and yet again not much told about the plot

If this is the tone of the series, I'm more than delighted to drop it by the way. It's ok to take it slowly, but if it fails to interest the viewer it has failed as a show, period. The introduction and presentation of the plot and world is insanely important, at least for me, and K fails at it completely.

Also, if it takes 6 episodes to get it going on a 13 episode anime, that's half the fucking show: no, then somethings wrong. Madoka introduced us to a shit-ton of characters and continued the plot splendidly, no excuse to just derp with characters and then the plot comes.

That's why I said it is good to make it clear as early as ep.2
And what you said should have been " if it fails to interest YOU it has failed as a show FOR YOU, period" Anyway, I was skeptical about the show before it started and even in the ep.1 but it successfully engaged my interest in this episode.
sagdashin said:

Apparently many foreign fans put plot in a supreme position. Such view usually means a lot of anime would not suit them. It is not that such an anime fails, it only fails if you hold an anime to this kind of plot-is-insanely-important view.

Compared to K, Madoka is not that shit-on of characters to be honest. I do not know how they can pull the anime from a presentation stage to a main story stage. Perhaps they are trying to be experimental. Perhaps they have some trick up their sleeves. Perhaps they just think with their writing power (the main selling point is that this is a project by a group of professional writers) will make it happen. Anyway, it is too early to just jump to conclusion that "soemthings wrong".
