The final convo we see between Yuji and Gojo was beautiful. Seeing Gojo's dream come into fruition. He changed the Jujutsu world. Sukuna admitted his defeat in how he lived. Yuji changed the king of curses view on life. Yuta will forever wear the scar of Kenjaku. Safe to say that the future is bright with Gojo's students around. At least finally, he'll be looked back at as more than a monster or a weapon.

Thank you Gege.

Not a huge fan of the ending. Feels very abrupt, like all the wind in the sails just stopped. I have my criticisms, especially in the final arc, but genuinely I'm glad that overall I loved the series. Culturally the JJK era will be pretty memorable. #ThankYouGegeAkutami

I dropped the series, but curiosity took over and holy shit, these last three chapters were HIDEOUS. Easily one of the shittiest endings I've ever seen. Nice work, Greg Akutami

Like 95% of Shonen Jump manga, it had its ups and downs, but it was a fun series to read.
I hope Uncle Akutami does like Aunt Gotouge and doesn't create a new story anytime soon hehe.

Unfinished storylines and unanswered questions are common issues in battle shounen, especially in series that deal with complex world-building and a large cast. JJK is no exception to this. Characters like Megumi and Nobara had potential for further exploration. While Megumi’s story saw some developments toward the end, Nobara, in particular, felt somewhat unsatisfying, which can be a common pitfall in battle shounen where some characters get more focus than others as the series approaches its end. While I wouldn’t list it as a notorious example, I would have preferred some foreshadowing before her return, as it is, I would consider it bordering on a deus ex machina. I was also expecting a deeper dive into aspects like Sukuna’s origin.

I do believe Jujutsu Kaisen will be remembered as a solid, well-executed series, while it may not have reinvented the wheel, it did an excellent job of refining the existing battle shounen formula. One of the standout elements of JJK, cursed techniques, I found to be an intricate and well-thought-out power system. It had a fast-paced plot that kept readers engaged without the fatigue of slower arcs. And it did well to balance its dark, horror-inspired themes with light-hearted and comedic moments, which is critical in modern shounen. It ends on a relatively positive note, with an emphasis on friendship, legacy, and overcoming curses, this to me feels in line with the spirit of many battle shounen. JJK’s decision to end on a hopeful note cements its place as a classic, uplifting shounen at heart, even amid its darker themes. The ending feels fitting and I am somewhat satisfied with it.

This will be the series where we will all learn what was the real Jujutsu Kaisen all along.

Honored its biggest inspiration and decided to go out with a whimper. Bleach is getting buffed by the anime adaptation and i expect Mappa to do the same with Jjk; but this last stretch of the manga doesnt really stand up on its own nearly as well as it should.

Will probably check out Gege's next manga if its different enough but if its just another battle shounen/similar, i will assume its just another product from the same brand of mediocrity and move on.

The ending was fine enough. I would have preferred less characters to miraculously not be dead, since it kind of takes away from their supposed sacrifices, but I otherwise can't really see how else it would have really changed the ending without dragging everything on even longer. There are way too many people here who can't be satisfied by anything.

I dropped this 100 chapters ago and I have to say this ending is rather ordinary, so I don't understand why people are upset about this chapter. Anyways, the manga went downhill post Shibuya so how good (or bad) the ending doesn't matter anyways LUL. Seeing fans everywhere losing faith in Gege is hilarious though.

To be very honest, this type of rushed ending was expected when it was announced a while back, that it's gonna be ending within 5 chapters lol. I loved Sukuna's conclusion the most followed by Gojo. Can't wait to see their epic fight get animated. You just know MAPPA is gonna nail it, considering how they did Sukuna vs Mahoraga.

The main's trio conclusion was also good. It's just them as a team together don't move me much. Like I only cared about Yuji and Nobara. Megumi always felt like a boring character to me for some reason and never really cared much about him. Also, Nobara should have been brought back a bit earlier imo, and definitely not towards only the end of the manga lol. And speaking of Yuji, we still never got to know what's his DE called and what's it's power range.

I really liked Yuta, Maki, Inumaki and Panda's conclusions also. Them surviving Sukuna Kaisen somehow is a great thing ig. Hakari got that dirty treatment tho imo. He is such a cool character who definitely deserved more screentime but for some reason, his whole fight against Uraume wasn't shown completely, it happened offscreen and I'm pretty sure nobody cares about Kirara/Kiara or whatever her name is. Also, I'm glad Higuruma survived. He is one of my fav side characters in this, considering his limited screen time. Still pissed about the fact that we never really had a Todo-Yuki convo post-Shibuya. It would have been cool to see what they'll talk about. Gege even forget her in the coloured page group photo of the whole cast. Why are you like this Gege lmao?

Still, I enjoyed reading JJK weekly a lot and it's still one of the best battle shounen I have ever read with a great power system and a solid cast (which could have been more memorable, had Gege handled it better oh but it is what it is, I ain't complaining much). I'm definitely not gonna ever forget such a memorable experience.

Thank you Gege. Get that break now, you very well deserve it.

I liked the happy ending. It tied the series up nicely and they addressed some different character beats that worked well to provide some real closure. This series has alway been inconsistent and all over the place with tone and characters. It feels heavily inspired by early dragon ball with how the series can sway from big action set piece to goofy side characters. The series was never afraid to be a big silly mess but it still is a mess. Also the culling game was overwritten and one of my least favorite arcs of any series. This was only redeemed through the last two battles especially the comedy fight being some of the most energetic action sequences put on paper.

sorry to be that guy but how can it be a 10/10 if u dont think the ending is great. isnt a 10/10 meant to be something near perfect that u have no complaints about.

Ending not being great doesn't mean I think it was bad. And besides we all have different ways we rate things, I think you can find a few flaws in everything, I just personally really enjoyed it still! I've got a few 10s where I simply rated it that because of the unmatched enjoyment it brang to me! But I understand why you would think that.

I thought I was crazy for rating things based more on personal enjoyment than objectivity. Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one🙏
@IcedMintGreenTea you should always rate enjoyment first. The is no objectivity in art. If there were, it wouldn't be art, bit just a product.

This can't be any different from Komi-san, except genres obv? Constantly introducing irrelevant characters & themes, then toss it all away as if it were all for nothing - continuously drag this constitution till you've milked enough money from sales. Also the Culling is the worst shounen arc I've ever read.

Honestly I wouldn't have had that much of a problem with this ending, if the entire fight before wasn't so bad.

Overall I think JJK was great right up to the Culling Game. Some of the characters were also interesting, but it just went downhill from there.

Oh I guess the other thread got clapped lol.

Well, from that text summary, it seems like a pretty “oh, that happened” type ending. Not surprised people are gonna get hyperbolic like they always do with JJK and act like this is the worst ending ever in the history of the world. Stop being drama queens, good lord. It’s certainly not that good of an ending but definitely not the worst thing to ever see the light of day like I’ve seen people making it out to be.

Looks like JJK is the next shounen series to fall victim to the fumbled ending curse. Then again, this fandom is never satisfied with anything so I’m not surprised by reactions I’ve seen online. Not even just this fandom tbh, anime fans in general lol, so fickle about everything so it’s hard for most series to please everyone and avoid dividing people. Naruto, Bleach, Demon Slayer, and even recently, MHA. I’ve made peace with those series’ endings over the years and I’m sure I’ll make peace with this in due time, but man I wish more authors did a better job of sticking that landing.

I will say, this series definitely could have benefited from slowing down the action to take its time story-wise. There’s some things in the JJK world that could prove interesting if they were explored and explained more that will kind of just remain ambiguous since a part 2 seems unlikely. Definitely feels like there’s some missed opportunities in terms of potential narrative expansion.

For what it was worth though, I still enjoyed it. It’s obviously not without its flaws and fell pretty flat in the end but I’ll still have fond memories of this series. The twists and turns of Shibuya, Hakari vs. Kashimo, Sukuna’s post-Gojo gauntlet run (yea I enjoyed it despite all the complaints people had about every last thing), and of course, the batshit insane hype of reading Gojo vs. Sukuna weekly, not knowing or being able to figure out what would happen next and eagerly awaiting that next page on leak nights. So long, JJK, it was fun even if there was a bit of a stumble at the end.

bro said everything that was on my mind. So and so, not the best end but ofcourse not the worst.

It was a fine ending tbh, I couldn't really see it going any other way. One more job for the three to do and even shows how Yuji has changed and grown.

We also got to see Sukuna and Mahito in the place where curses go in between their rebirth which was cool, Sukuna want's to live a different path next time?

Ends with everyone being happy and with a tease of the sukuna finger being locked away with the door creaking open...

I'm not disappointed like everyone else, I'm fine with the ending. Sad to see JJK over but it was awesome while it was going on

Goodbye JJK!!!

I finally binged the rest of the manga. What a ride. I remember reading someone speculate that Nobara would show up in the end since her resonance power was a bit OP and would be perfect for Sukuna to help with the final blow. It was ages ago when I read this, but it made sense so I wasn't surprised to see it happen. It was also nice to see Nobara back in general.

After everything that happened, I wasn't expecting such a nice ending. I was also surprised that not that many people died in the end. It's fine though. With Sukuna sealed, it made sense for the characters to try to go back to normal. Usually those moments don't last long in a world of curses, but I get why the series would end on that note.

Overall, the manga is a 6/6.5 for me. I really loved everything before Shibuya. The story made sense and the plot and characters seemed to move in tandem with an overarching plot that was to come. But the Culling Games and the fight with Sukuna was just too long and seemed to focus more on fights and info dumps than anything else. It just got lost in the sauce and instead of being exciting, it felt slow. It's one of the reasons why I stopped reading it weekly and stuck to binge seasons every few months.

It was fun while it lasted though.

Anyways, love it or hate it, I personally think it never got boring. Sukuna's post-Gojo gauntlet in particular made me laugh quite a bit so I will give Gaygay that.

I hope there will be another manga with a community like JJK's coz after a certain point, that was really the best thing about the manga.

I think that a lot of jap authors have a tendency to make really bad endings.

like attack on titans.....

bad or simply MEH.

havent read all the manga, just watch season 1 in netflix.

still...when I saw Nobara "killed" by Mahito, I just gave up--- she had like 30 seg to react...instead she just stand there to get touched in the eye....

so lame hahahah...so forced.

so I bet the ending is bad..even do I havent see it.

this anime is pure show. just like my hero academia. once their pockets are really full , the ending doesnt matter, just the profit.

next manga.

Agree with most here. Actually didn't mind it, but it definitely wasn't great. I feel like that's how most will feel about it in the years to follow.
I liked that they showed the characters reaction to the events of the last arc(s) and how yuji plans to live his life going forward, but other than that it felt more rushed than MHA imho- as did the last 5 chapters. I liked about half of the story decisions he made overall, but Gege did not cook with this one unfortunately.

Up until the culling game arc the manga was really good, the only enjoyable fight after that was sukuna vs gojo. It is clear that Gege wanted to move on and so it happened that the last arcs and especially the ending are just extremely rushed and not well planned. I still wish Gege good luck for his future plans and hope he learned a lot after finishing jjk

So it finally comes to an end.

I'm in the camp that the writing started to get a little lacklustre towards the end, but i suppose Gege was always comfortable with a 'soft' magic system that favoured a sense of mysticism over narrative cohesion. In the end, the text was memorable, which is all that ever really matters.

Ty JJK.

I'm not gonna lie, I completely missed the fact that this was the last chapter on my first read-through. That's how strange of an ending it was- it didn't feel like the end. It rather felt like Gege decided that this was going to be the last chapter in lieu of writing a proper ending. Things dropped in quality post-Shibuya, and ever since I've just stubbornly read each chapter because I didn't want to drop a manga I've already spent (partially wasted) so much time on. This last arc was absolutely awful and it kept dragging on for no reason. I'm done reading shounen for this reason (and because BNHA suffered from the same syndrome before it finally ended). No more. This genre is not for me. Thank god it's over.
if you told me we were dreaming, i would pinch you to prove we're awake.
