Miyo looked so cute in her dress and makeup 🥺

I love how she and Kudo have difficulty expressing themselves in their own unique way. I don’t think that Kudo minds that she has no supernatural powers, I mean he’s super patient with Miyo even though she’s acting super dry.

Has a great story line that gives you all the emotions there is & I love rewatching them over & over. There should be more shows that have a similar love story where they gradually fall in love & not rushed there is ups & downs like in normal relationships. One of the best shows there is & can't wait for more episodes. LOVE My Happy Marriage.

This anime keeps getting better and better, and before you know, we'll see Miyo in her full splendour.

What was never clear to though was how they Miyo's mother end up with her father who is clearly a scumbag?

Rewatching this episode, I can't help but feel glad because things are going well for Miyo. The happiness that she was denied, which is having a nice family, is being bridged by Kiyoka.

I wrote previously how Miyo's father is a scumbag. It is even in the framing. He is complicit because he too would like to mistreat her.

This story premise is very reminiscent of the typical young adult female stories: Twilight, of 50 Shades of Gray, etc... young women romance fantasy.

A wealthy, PRETTY and BEAUTIFUL, misunderstood bad boy-ish main lead and romantic interest who's actually really kind and caring when it comes to her. Rescuing her from her tragic/sad/uninspiring life thus far, helping her overcome her suffering. AND she's actually a super special beauty who has yet to shine and awaken her latent abilities or potential. AND he's one of the more powerful and higher-status characters. She was rejected and an outcast by others, but HE sees something special in her and she was chosen by him.

Seriously tropey female romance fantasy. Not that this is necessarily a wholly bad thing, but it is just so common and tropey when it comes to these female romance stories. Not to hate on the character of Kiyoka: he is actually a very reasonable, grounded, normal person by IRL standards.

Feel so sorry for Kouji. She forgot all about him so quickly. No matter how strong his love and devotion, he can't give her the material things that make her feel pampered and taken care of, make her relax and feel at peace. When they were together, he was her saviour, and she wanted to be with him. But now she's bedazzled and mesmerized by Kiyoka while he is thinking hard of somehow being able to truly help and rescue her from her sad life thus far. To her, things ended. To him, it's still ongoing.

Houko Kuwashima being the middle-aged/senior servant is amusing to me. Her typecasting has changed from young women to older women. But it makes sense since it's been 20+ years in real life and 20+ years in the industry.

I knew the music style was familiar. Evan Call is the composer. No complaints here.
