what an episode to finish the season! Time to focus at manga now.. I enjoyed whole series so far, let's see if we will have S2 soon. I voted 7/10, idk why i didn't give a higher score, maybe the lack of ''drama'' which i love to see.

Time for every weeb to say goodbye to Marin and welcome Micchon Shikimori lol. I think will this one will replace her for the spring season.

I'm amazed on how the animation quality and overall direction didn't drop the ball even on the last episode Holy shit that is impressive.

Being someone who already read the manga to a point not that far from this season's end i can say i would have prepared the show to move a tad faster than it did, what the characters archive or do per episode sometimes is too little.

Pool, Firework, and Phone Call!

This combo is what i wanted the most for CloverWorks to adapt last episode, and they did. I can't stop smiling all the time, THEY'RE TOO CUTE OMFG GET MARRIED ALREADY.

Anyway, it was quite a nice ride, i'm not gonna lie MDD really makes my day better.

10/10 series with some 8 and 9 episodes, still going to rate it 10 though. See you in season 2 folks!

gojo made this show much less enjoyable for me. kitagawa was great from the first episode and i really enjoyed her character but gojo just ruined things for me. his overreactions were, frankly, unbearable. i'm using sankarea as an example here since i just finished that show, but a male lead like furuya who doesn't scream and yell when the female lead is half naked is the best kind of male lead. i get what type of male lead the mangaka is trying to write, but i feel like i've seen that type of male lead written a lot better in other anime. oh well

if a s2 came out i'd watch it but this show feels like kaguya in the sense that neither lead is [ever] gonna confess their love to the other

but anyways, this episode had really nice visuals and i genuinely had a laugh when kitagawa just randomly stuck her tongue out at gojo

"See you later" what a wonderful last line to a, lets be honest, best anime of winter 2022. I really hope we get a second season of this. It was the right mix of wholesome and topping of spice. The animation in each episode looked fluid and beautiful. Marin and Gojo's relationship is so genuine, I just want to see more of this pair.

Overall I give it a 8/10 this is definitely something I'd watch again.

"See you soon."
What a beautiful final chapter, Marin and Gojo left for the festival. Gojo is going to remember it quite a lot, and Marin looked beautiful in the Yukata <3!!!
And the last call scene was really cute too. And what Marin said to him AHHHHHH!!! even though Gojo was asleep...but well.
I liked this anime quite a lot. Now let's see if they confirm its second season.

If someone had said to me that Sono Bisque would be the must watch anime this season 3 months ago, I would have said it could be but too many animated series has disappointed me in the execution after getting into the manga before.

As I set here now after completing episode 12, it's been a long time since a show impressed me more week after week that I felt that the episode I just watched was the best one yet. My only disappointment was the fact that Season 2 was not announced as soon as it was over.

Kind of sad it's the end, but it felt a bit nostalgic seeing the two just doing friend things. We got to see the iconic festival scene. Also, Marin in yukata with full forehead was a blessing. She's giving female Muzan energy. Gojo kinklikes confirmed. This is totally unrelated, but reminds me of a story I heard that there's a Japanese school banning ponytails, because napes are attractive.

Marin going "nyah".
Also Marin - don't forgot to take out your contacts! ah!
One of the best animes this season. Although they definitely took it easy on the animation this week.

See you later ~

Man, I enjoyed this show from beginning to end, and to think I was going to skip it, Marin is such a dreamy girl and her voice was perfect, I can't get enough of her Jan's and Maji's, the tongue bit haha, that alone made this show a 10/10 subverting expectations, the animation always looked great, it was the Kimetsu no Yaiba of RomComs.

If os wasn’t for the post credits scene this ep would be overshadowed by the banger that was ep 11. This anime is so wholesome, makes me feel warm like no other! The characters actually resemble real human being and this is awesome! The dynamic of the duo is so good and the voice acting is on point! 10/10 for me.

it was probably the most wholesome episode in the entire series and the post credits scene was also really sweet. I'd have loved to see Gojo's reaction if he was awake when Marin saide the 3 holy words but still, it was probably the best episode of this entire anime.

Episode rating- 9.5/10

Series rating- 8/10

As my first rom-com, it was definitely great but I think I'll be a bit dissatisfied with other rom-coms as most of them would be a downgrade

Take a chill pill kid. Go play Fortine or whatever kids do these days to past time and blow off steam.

First of all, I can have whatever problems I want with either the script or the characters and post about it on discussion boards, I don't need permission from angry kids that need to throw a tantrum because other people don't like what they like.

Secondly, you're calling me a saddist for watching a show I didn't enjoy all the way to the end. Yet you're here yapping at me in an angry manner, in a DISCUSSION BOARD where you are obviously going to read plenty of different opinions that won't align with yours or the common opinion and more often than not more elaborate ones than your caveman slurs filled with rage because that's the only way you can communicate in a civilized discussion board. How often do you need to bark at the wrong tree because other people don't like what you like? (it's a rethorical question, you don't need to answer it).

yeah, will highlight static parts of overall a min maybe, but won't say a thing about whole Beautiful sequences, camera sequencing, post processing etc maybe try to appreciate shows more, and btw akebi was in production wise cloverworks first priority, you could see.

1. akebi
2. kisekoi
3. tokyo 24 ( which fell apart )

and I never said there was never an issue in kisekoi production. Only ep9 and another ep at the beginning maybe ep 4 or 3, had reserved production wise, also I saw you earlier comment, you clearly didn't like, and trying to nitpick everything, move on.

Beautiful sequences? That's highly subjective. There were several cuts in Sono Bisque that I personally thought were great like Gojo running up the stairs in the beach episode and a few others that escape my memory. I personally liked a lot more the ones on Akebi on general basis.

Camera Sequencing? I don't know if you're talking about sequence animation that take a long cut before switching scene, but if you are, there were a few, but I personally wouldn't call them the selling point of the series in production terms.

Post processing, I seriously didn't see anything outstanding in Sono Bisque, I personally feel that Akebi had a way superior work in the post processing department by re-renderizing the stills and adding so much detail to simple stuff like marble floors.

Edit: I hadn't watched the last episode of Akebi, and imho the finale blows out of the water any episode in Sono Bisque in production terms, even the beach episode that many pointed out that the art quality was traded for more fluid animation (something that plenty of Yuasa shows do to allow more dinamic animation). The animated cuts of Akebi dancing while Erika plays the piano/violin even though they are shorter than the ones in sono bisque, they are a hell lot more consistent in art quality, and the post processing for lighting and water effects looks sublime.

And it's seriously laughable that you recommend me to try appreciate shows more when my list of completed shows is vastly superiors to yours.

Also on a final note, I didn't like a lot of elements in the show, so what? You obviously liked a lot of them. Does that give you the right to shut down my opinion and override it with yours? That sounds what a fanboy would do. I would also suggest you to move on if you can't handle different opinions.

I was underestimating this show at first due to it's borderline ecchi parts, but surprisingly I enjoyed it a lot. Marin has climbed onto my top waifu list!

The firework scene was very well done. I was thinking about the long silence when Wakana was staring at Marin. I get you Wakana, I also fell in love with Marin 😂. The after credit scene was also very interesting! Marin saying "see you again" at the very end, I want to think as it foreshadows the possibility of second season. Overall, I love this episode and it's a very nice one to wrap up the season!

Now for the final episode I hope it's a good one, Maid Marin looks clean though but her model Marin looks fire she's gorgeous at her pictorials

No way she's scared and Gojo was not I expected that the very least and she can't swim like an anchor of a ship good thing she didn't drown

She looks gorgeous wearing that Yukata and fine the nape really gives it off, I was surprised the ED was a bit "early" when it played so I thought there's more isn't it and yeah there is a wholesome ending to finish this season off.

This was the most few anime seasons that I didn't expect much but seeing how it is by the progression and the comedic approach let me just say it's good fuckin lamb with lamb sauce, chicken breasts paired with thighs, I mean what more can you ask probably a second season because I want another adaptation this is really enjoyable.

Everything was perfect, like the crazy beautiful animation from the smallest of details to the beautiful fireworks scene which looks like they blew out their entire budget on. well this was one of the few stand outs of the season so uh it really did stand out lol... because lets be real this season sucked outside of a few shows

while i was expecting mostly wholesome cute rom-com hijinks it was mostly that but at the same time kinda crammed with cringy over done ecchi moments which leads to my main problem with dress up doll it's a pretty predictable rom-com which isn't really bad because it's a good one of em ,enjoyed it more than the recent komi-san but when you've seen so many of these even the sub genre of loner dude connecting with the dream girl through a secret hobby bonus points if shes a super nice gal and everyone loses their mind lol

also add the fact that the show is just eyecandy and cloverworks actually pulled through on keeping it look good till the end and it makes sense why this blew up i just hoping people chill on the marin for a bit now tired seeing her plastered everywhere on pxiv lol

point being this a good version of the run of the mill rom-coms where i ended up playing bingo on guessing what tropes would happen and being surprised when it didnt actually follow through with them hell i thought this finale wouldn't actually have any fireworks festival so i docked a +1 but super wholesome phonecall of gojo falling sleep now that is a +1 of cute moments to end on even if it didn't feel like a season ending

7.5/10 will happily take another season

Not my favorite episode of the series, but a fairly decent ending episode nonetheless. Nice to see some even more backstory from Gojou and nice to see that he now finally went to a fireworks festival. Lots of character development with him, and it was really good to see. Also, while Marin can be a bit too spontaneous, I like her personality overall, she just needs to reign it in at times. Overall, I give this series an 8/10.

Nicely done finale using the typical summer festival as a closurement, i feel blessed already with this. Not feeling rushed, but not actually a kind of slow pace, kinda make this one a perfect.

But honestly, i am still thinking, Gojo-kun can be a better mc than whats this season presented so far. The whole Marin wuv trope isn't look very convincing to begin with, aside that post-credit part, cause i feel like her schtick used to be no more than the engagement for the audience only. Y'know, gyaru needs to be more gyaru than your most typical gyaru, and here comes Marin.

Still, when thinking about engagement effectiveness, this show pretty much manage to engage it more than its supposed-to-be, not to mention Marin ecchiness. Its mostly topped off everything in one flip. Especially with the previous episode. Holy shit, peak fiction xd. Oh also, no way that they just forgot what happened previously, right? I am kinda sad when this final didn't really depicted their reaction after having all that good moment previously. Seriously, its kinda off....

I honestly wanna write more about it. However, i must restrain myself to not creating a long-ass reply again, and i also think above said already enough. Guess i am just congrats CloverWorks thou on these chance. After the disaster happened previous year, even if i honestly thinking that Sono Bisque can be more great than what they present this season, together with Akebi-chan, CloverWorks actually take back what its lost back there.

Very good job....

And of course we returned to the usual status quo. The fact of Marin and Gojou almost banging last episode totally forgotten.

Standard final episode, I would say. Filled with cliches, more Marin expressions and one hella random Texas Chainsaw Massacre reference. Decent stuff overall.

And as for the show as a whole, there is nothing much to say. Average self-insert ecchi anime with the particularity that this one received a bit more attention in terms of production values and direction.

5/10 - Lowkey looking forward to the waifu wars this year will bring.
