So after 10.000 hours, the original has 40.000 hours left, this means all the copy you make is going to have 40.000 hours left aswell. And once that original SSD dies you cannot make any more copy of it. that's an awfully bad design :D the robots are so smart they are copying friggin brains, cannot they just edit the code, not to make themselves expire? I already know how the anime will end, someone hacks into their network and DDOS-es them :D or someone memorizes a computer virus, goes out, dies, they read his brain and all get infected Well it was designed this way on purpose by the Giad Empire, so if the Legion goes rogue it cannot do a world domination and die out. :D Well I don't know about the rest of the stuff you brought up. I've only read the first volume of the LN. The rest is still arriving. :D I assume it's not the code where the expiration date is hidden. It's just the phisical lifespan of the artificial brain that they use. After 10 years it becomes usless and just cannot be copied Nice theories. Idk how would they be able to defeat this. The 10th volume will hit the market soon in Japan. Idk if they even fight against the Legion at that point. So I have literally no idea. :D Wow, this thing has 10 volumes? I so don't like these endless things, the anime, even the 2nd season will just end with "read the LN suckers" It makes me question that what is even the point of watching. |

I think ik Y I am liking this so much First of all the direction is great The anime adaptation nailed this (i haven't read light novel but to think that even with such a fast pacing I can like characters and understand plot is a really good thing ) it's 8 for me right now As much as I liked fumetsu no Anatae's 1st ep ...gotta admit that the other episodes didn't look that special to me There are many anime like that ...well I won't degrade it that much cuz ik an anime can make a sudden comeback and who knows that if it is even adapting it's best part Anyways I'm liking this anime It's currently my no.2 of the season after fruits basket (season 3) What I am liking about this is how it's quality doesn't drop as each ep air And many mechas only focus on robot fighting ( this is mecha right ?) That's y I like how it is focusing on discrimination and maybe how this girl "lena" will try to change the world Well looking forward to more episodes Fav ep yet :- ep 4 |

I'm glad to see Shin's character delved into this episode. And holy fuck, the incompetence of the republic high command is just... baffling. Now we have got the true nature of the legion, I feel like it's an insurmountable task for Lena to deal with on her own. Facing an army of legions like that would need the coordinated effort of a whole organization, not just piecemeal individuals. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing how this will play out. |

SSL443 said: Well, I've made it this far and I can say for certain that I do not care for this anime. The pacing is all over the place, the animation of the CGI portions is unattractive and clunky, and the characterization is jarring, cliched, and unconvincing. Probably the worst aspect, though, is the handling of mature sociopolitical themes. In a competent piece, these would be approached with some kind of nuance. But here, the dialogue surrounding these issues is constructed of a series of preachy, prescriptive platitudes that feel like they were pulled right off of Twitter, rather than deep character dialogue borne of hard life experiences or complex internal struggles. In other words, the writer of this story comes off like they have zero experience with issues they are trying to explore, particularly with regards to race and class differences. These topics tend to be avoided for a reason, and this story does nothing to buck the trend. I'm not surprised to see this series doing well, though. It wouldn't be the first super-cringer to take off, like Shield Hero, Goblin Slayer, or Darling in the Franxx. All of these had the comment element of dealing with mature themes in a really hamfisted way, but having enough fanservice and wish fullfillment to keep anyone pulled in as long as they didn't try to think too hard. Wouldn't even be surprised to see 86 become AOTS. I love how blatantly untrue most of this is. 1. The pacing is fine. It's adapting around one chapter an episode and it's worked really well so far. 2. Uh the CG is smooth. I don't know how much CG you've seen, but this is pretty fluid. 3. On the characterization portion, yeah it's not the most deep but we're only 5 episodes in. Notable development doesn't happen that fast but I will agree that not many characters have been deeply explored yet. 4. "Super cringer" is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Comparing this to stuff like Shield Hero and Goblin Slayer is incredibly idiotic. This series (especially later) has barely any fanservice or wish fulfillment. The preachy dialogue coming from characters like Lena makes sense, especially considering her background. No it doesn't have to be "deep" dialogue. Not everything has to be "deep" and it wouldn't make sense for their interactions to be like that in the first place. |

I find some anime only misunderstood about the black sheep. The legion don't use human physical brain in their system, but they're copying the brain structure to bypass their processor time limit. |

Nah. It's not a problem. When I can point to specific details and compare and contrast them with other anime, it isn't solely a matter of personal perspective. There's ultimately always a subjective aspect to it, but the features and differences are there objectively. A lot of anime that I've found to be super questionable have been adaptations from popular Light Novels. And I've noticed parallels in how fans of these series go about defending them and excusing deficiencies. To me, this is a hint that the cause is the way light novels tend to be written, i.e. badly. |

Welcome to anime series, kid, of which 99.9% look unrealistic and over-exaggerated. On the other hand, what is the point of watching a tv show with so many flaws (according to your somewhat far-fetched opinion), and not just passing by and looking for something that best suits your refined tastes? |

This is the same with AOT, it needs more than 2 seasons to fleshed out the story. Many complaints in this forum about the characters and story were all answered in the novel. But 1 season will not be enough. So we need at least 2 seasons to answer viewers dissatisfaction. |

It only has 11 episodes listed, but apparently second season is already confirmed/in the making. I just hope this ends the same as Volume 1, I need to see this scene animated, dang. |

I feel like Milize's father is one of the commanders. They mentioned that the Legion needed a Brain to function and they show her father being killed in the chest in the beginning of the episode. So I find it very coincidental that they mention Commanders. Milize getting embarrassed though was super adorable. Crazy episode. |

The way the Para-Raid scene with all those voices was handled was superb. That was really terrifying. Hearing Kaie's voice at the end was really disturbing. Well, another fantastic episode. It proved itself to be a great adaptation. |

Something worth noting with regards to Kaie's head in the previous and current episode. https://www.reddit.com/r/EightySix/comments/ncdgjv/a_small_detail_most_of_the_people_missed/ |

Well,I watched eps 3-5 in a row(already after eps 1 and 2 knew how good it was),but damn, this show is brutal to Lena, with all the info she's getting from Shin and the others, weighed against the utter propaganda she's known(and yes,I know its brutal to the 86 as well)but at least she's still trying to help them. As for the adaption side of things, the studio seems to be doing it quite well. And I love the juggernauts designs, can't wait to get a model of one when they come out(it'll look real nice next to my Escaflowne Guymelef ;) |

This was such an interesting episode, but it also raised two major questions A: How does Shin's hearing work? B: What is the Empire doing? I can't wait to get a look at the situation over there. I hope this cour is going to give us at least a glimpse. As for the Shepherds, I wonder if Shin's brother/his brain became one of them. Well, I would be surprised if this wasn't the case based on how the exposition this episode was handled. |

The show is still good overall, but now that they've got with this supernatural thing... Eh, not really my thing. But it won't affect my overall enjoyment of the plot as long as they don't push it too far. Huh... Undertaker didn't mention his brother when he talked about the Black Sheeps, but he's still looking for him. Maybe there's a possibility that his brother is one of the Shepherds? But if I've learned anything from anime is that the hidden enemies are always presented at the start of the plot, and given the limited amount of characters in the rest of the Republic, I'd say the fifth columnist Shepherd must be Lena's uncle (or maybe her friend, in a weird sort of events). After all, they're the only characters we know aside from Lena. |

This episode showed that the story is getting deeper. I think Shin's brother's brain became one of them (I hope not). Also don't forget that Shin is fighting with all these voices for a long time. Lena got crazy after hearing for like a minute. He deserves respect. Can't wait to know much more about this serie. |

Great episode Lena is ended strong for using the para raid after hearing the black Sheeps also we got some new information about the Legion which I thought are they plan just to lose the war and do nothing in the meaning time. |
