I have been keeping up with seasonals quietly but it's been so dead this season that I've barely opened my mouth about anything this season. Haven't binged anything either so I've mainly either been busy with studies or busy with being outside or watching sports.
I didn't really like Arc 5 (although I'm just generally not a fan of not just the series but the author's writing style and how its translated since it makes it really boring for me to read through) but it should be a relative change of pace from Arc 4 so I'll see how the anime goes. I do have a couple shows I'm looking forward to more down the line. MT Season 2's releasing more information today so I've got my eye on that and there's a couple shows like Insomniacs After School releasing soon that I'm excited for too. Don't know if I'm out of the burnout yet but I am more interested towards the future than what was releasing over the past like 5-6 months.
I have collected all the volumes of the LN too. Waiting on Volume 17 which will be releasing in a couple weeks physically. Cover art is great too. I do love seeing Sirotaka's art evolve after the first couple volumes and now all the designs are pretty stellar. The anime replicates them well too.
I'm not a fan of Overlord whatsoever but the premiere episode for season 4 was at least better handled than the previous couple seasons as a whole. Not too excited about seeing where the season goes though to be honest.
Yeah I watched the PV and it was pretty great. Looks closer to the anime standards that I'm expecting than how the original PV for the first season was, although that was really good in its own way as well. I'm excited for everything from Volume 7, all the way till 12, which is still my favorite volume I would say in the series even now. Even the slice of life stuff in between should be really good with what the anime would pick and choose to adapt. Season 2 and 3 will definitely be big phases for the series to really grab the viewers and show them what Mushoku Tensei and Rudeus' story would truly be about and why it makes MT to be a special work amongst many other fantasy light novels like it. I'm gassed.
Wow, your favourite TM work?! That's great. So you must be waiting like crazy for the adaptation. I hope they don't mess it up, I also have very high expectations. As for Tsukihime, I'm waiting for that one too. I once tried to start reading it, like I did with FSN, but then I said to myself "don't do this, you know you're not a VN person, just wait for the ultimate (anime) experience to come".
Btw, thanks for the friend request and it's nice to meet you :D
I think studio SHAFT's work was amazing, but still, the story and character writing are terrible in my opinion so I just can't like the series. Let's say it's not my cup of tea. Even if I love Kamiya Hiroshi as a voice actor, I don't care about his character there, as well as for most of Monogatari characters. The only interesting ones, to me, are Meme and Mayoi. But they're not main or anything, so this explains a lot. Kudos to SHAFT though, like I said, their work is crazy; which is sad to me, because maybe they could adapt a better story ;)
Ufotable's art and animation on KnK and HF are, to me, the best I've ever seen tied with JJK and Violet Evergarden. HF's story itself is something else; Shirou and Sakura are great to watch and have great character writing in this route, but it's not only that. Rin x Sakura moment is amazing, Salter vs Medusa is something else (god bless ufo) and Kajiura can't stop being the goddess of anime music :D And I also liked the lore and stuff, yeah I'm crazy about FZ/FSN/KnK lore and I can't wait to see more on MahoYoru and Tsukihime some time.
Btw, since you seem to agree with me in this, give Waver series a try; I've even written a review praising the christmas special that came out a few days ago. You won't regret it^^
I kind of disliked and liked White Album 2's (anime) romance at the same time, a quirky mixed feeling for me upon finishing the series itself, I'm more drawn towards the trio and love triangle more than any romance series I've previously watched, but I think it's been 6 years since I've watched it so I've had a weak opinion right now since I have only very fragmented memories of it. I did read a portion of the visual novel back then, but was unable to continue it since I was burdened by the relentless work I kept getting, overall I thought the visual novel has more dialogue and development than the anime and piqued more of my interest. I have an ultra unpopular opinion: I liked Setsuna more, Touma I felt a little repelled by her since she's awfully similar to a close female friend of a mine before.
Nice to meet you
