I've never watched Konosuba or any of the other creator's works so I don't really have a bias in favor of this series.

I thought the pacing of this first episode was all over the place. Too fast in the beginning and it left me a bit confused as to what the starting plot was. The characters were 'introduced' too quickly and I didn't really pick up a connection for them. They just seem very generic and bland at this point in time.

The comedy in this episode... did not do it for me. Immature humor with ill-timed punchlines.

I'll give this another episode to try to win me over, but so far I don't think this series is shaping up to be my cup of tea.

Maybe its because I haven't read the manga in a while, but I don't remember the MC being this over the top with his perverted behavior. Despite that I still found this episode somewhat enjoyable. I don't think we should compare this to Konosuba and just judge the series for what it is. I still think it has potential to be great if it is executed properly although the initial plot was rushed in the beginning.

Lol at the Dick Festival password and the "Explosion" reference from Konosuba.

This was painfully unfunny, reeking of all the cliches people make fun of animes for. There was no jokes, and even if there was one, I didn't catch do to the anime speedrunning itself. Everything flew by so fast my head was aching when I finished the episode. All the characters were one dimensional. I can't even tell you one thing that is interesting about them. Just awful. I don't understand how people enjoyed this, but each to their own, I guess.

This episode was just bad. I wanted to stop watching halfway through, which is an extremely rare occurrence for me. I did manage to make it through the whole thing, but this is easily the worst introductory episode I've seen in quite some time and I will definitely not be watching more.

I had no idea this was by the same person who did KonoSuba. I love that show (minus Aqua), which makes this even worse.

Definitely has that same Konosuba feel already i.e. Agent Six giving off a very Kazuma-vibe (props to the VA for the performance so far). Think that the first few episodes will definitely involve me trying map Konosuba characters onto this series.

So far I'm feeling:
Agent Six -> Kazuma
Alice -> Aqua (although usefulness skyrocketed after aquiring that shotgun)
Genius Lilith -> Megumin (VA gave her a very similar sounding voice and her lines came off as rather chuni)
Snow -> Darkness? (hard to place, but has that mighty aura while getting all embarassed when she ends up in an awkward situation - doubt she's an M though)

Curious to see how the Princess turns out. There's definitely something under that noble, cute exterior that may prove rather terrifying :S

This wasn’t bad. I’m not a huge fan of how much of a pervert the mc is though. It seems like he’s trying hard to be like Kazuma but just not pulling it off well enough. I guess it isn’t fair to compare this to Konosuba, but I just can’t help it given that it’s the done by the same author. Oh well, I hope it’ll be funnier going forward.

Not too impressed. Liked the main chars facial design. And soldier + comedy is a bit like Full Metal Panic. The Isekai stuff reminded a bit of KonoSuba - maybe because the guy did the "explosion" joke ha ha.

But far away from being as funny as KonoSuba. (And even the more serious first season of FMP - not the special funny spin-off - was funnier when the main acted out of place.)

Main thing I did not like: They just threw us into the plot ... with some company that managed to create a teleporting device + the main was just horny for the tits of the one girl (she seems to like him as well).

Better stuff: The princess, the father and the female knight commander and their interaction with each other. Need a few more episodes to decide.

Wasn't really a big fan of this first episode unfortunately. The premise for the protagonist going to that other world felt weak and also maybe the pacing of the episode was a little on the fast side. I'll probably end up liking the show in the long run if the comedy is anything like Kono Suba.

You can tell it's an earlier work, the humour feels a little blunt, the characters feel a bit like cut-n-paste comedy tropes.

I'll give it 3 Episodes then stick it on hold until final scores/reviews are in if I'm still not feeling it.

Nowhere near as funny as "Overly cautious hero".

In fact this seasons feeling pretty Meh as a whole so far, only looking forward to the next EP's of Fruits Basket and Odd Taxi so far.....

Looks to be something this season that I can't wait to see more of.
I really enjoy this type of silly dialogue/banter/something and how Alice's character is like salt for this story, really brings out the flavors... oOack! what the hell am I writing...

I feel like I would enjoy this a lot better if the main character wasn't your typical woman crazy protagonist. It's just so overdone that I don't find it funny. The rest of the jokes were pretty funny like the artifact thing. But as it stands it feels like more of a stoner comedy then a comedy anime.

it felt really trope heavy. the main character is gonna try and cop a feel and get kick in the face. I really tired of that trope. Especially after seeing it happen in almost every season 1 clannad episode.

Just to be expected of JC stuff rushed pacing, went to fast betweens supposed gags and I only read a few chapters of the manga and what I heard from LNs and don't remember the mc being this exaggerated

He made this before Konosuba, so if anything, Konosuba "ripped off" this.

Combatants is one of his earliest works, but never got adapted until now.

I thought Alice sounded familiar. It's the same chick who voiced Gabriel from Gabriel Dropout! This is definitely going to be a good series! Also has a similar flavor to Slayers

This is a good example of a bias being able to go both ways, as much as I love Konosuba people need to realize that this is not Konosuba and honestly I didn't even know that it was made by the same guy before watching EP 1, thankfully I was able to see the show independently without the bias, and to be quite frank, this first episode was dogshit, the start didn't make any sense, the settings seems completely random and stupid and the jokes were pretty mid tier as well. This whole anime production is lacking what made Konosuba good and I do not know if it's because of the orginal source material or the adaptation since I have not read the source material but people who enjoy this for the simple reason of "Konosuba guy made this" are a mystery to me, so far not impressed if anything it's average so far.

I found this to be a really fun watch. I've never seen konosuba so instead I found it had more a 1980's City Hunter comedy vibe. Like Ryu, Agent 6 is super a super talented fighter but also a over the top pervert!

I liked how a simple shotgun was enough to stop the monsters. As I've gotten a little bored of the "Conventional weapons don't work. We need a magical thing a ma jig that defies physics and space time"

As I wait for the next episode I'm going to also start watching konosuba as it sounds like I will enjoy that one to.

Pervert agent with a lot of oppai jokes. Weird but lewd looking evil company with two hot girls cosplayer leader and one petite scientist. Then one blonde loli android with Riko seiyuu as the pervert agent partner. Obviously this first already attracted me with all of their silliness and quite straight-forward storyline. Idk about konosuba since i don't reached it yet. But so far, this is quite a comedy gold, at least for me. I mean, i like shimoneta much, so why not watching more shit like that, right? Really looking forward to see their next dried gags.

quite decent start, first half wasnt very interesting but i'm always up for some sci-fi type stories, mc is pretty generic but alice looks cool and the story seems like it could go somewhere. looks like this'll be another shitty, but maybe fairly enjoyable watch, will see how this turns out.

Watched the first episode and I'mma be honest, it's not as funny as I expected it to be. I chuckled a few times but that's about it. Is this really written by the same author as KonoSuba?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't find this funny. To each their own, obviously, but if I want nothing but dick jokes and slapstick I'll watch 2009 Youtube.

I thought there might be something neat when, Six was yelled at for using one of the girl's, "Real name," and mentioning her parents. Like perhaps this would be some sort of RPing game some kids are playing. Maybe that will still happen, but I don't have much desire to stick around and find out.

An alright start. Not a huge fan of this type of pathetic male lead but the female lead and that princess are pretty good so it balances out. The princess is pretty funny. I like that type of acts innocent but is actually ruthless. Her evil smiles are great.

The setting is pretty unique. Well, the setting for the original world anyway. The whole evil points is also interesting.
