| I have a feeling this anime is getting more praise than it actually deserves. You can tell what's on the cards. The story is so predictable there isn't anything fun about it two episodes in yet it's sitting there at 8.4 in MAL. I usually don't complain about scores but I think this needed to be addressed. I want to know what's so great about it anyways. There is nothing OMG! level for this anime than the score tells us. The OST is pretty good and Hosoyan is doing his usual amazing job as a seiyuu. Apart from those two things, there isn't anything spectacular about the show. Just my honest opinion. 3/5 |

| The hype for this show is getting pretty overblown at the moment, almost entirely due to its aesthetics I think, which are good, but the show itself is still fairly average right now. Kinda hoping we are done with seeing Joe crash his motorcycle at this point lol Also the blurriness will never not be an issue for me, it will always be a bad decision, but I think the show can overcome that when it really starts to pick up. |

This is sorta like an tribute, a nostalgia trip to part of the old-time anime classics? But at the same time it's a beast on its own. Jeez. |

| Damn, the music is amazing. I cannot get Great track, #01 out of my head. Background tunes made Joe's new identity creation quite a bit more profound as well. The arduous road to earn a place in Megalonia begins. |

| Just 3 months, huh? Seems unrealistic to become as good as the best boxer in the world by that time, but I guess we’ll see how they go about this. Being only 13 episodes also has me worried because it’s a sports anime. I hope his progress and matches don’t feel too rushed. So I’m guessing Yuri’s gear is part of his body? That’s crazy. I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t look cool though haha. Having to go through that dark and shady organization will definitely bite them down the line. But before that, I’m excited to see Joe enter the pro boxing world! |

| Junk Dog got knocked out lol of course, he hasn't faced anyone of Yuri's caliber before. It's like going from instant noodles to a plate of gourmet noodles prepared by a world class chef. I experienced this in Taiwan, damn those noodles were good. Junk Dog used the name Joe, of course, this series was created to commemorate Ashita no Joe after all. I wonder what the benefits of being a 'citizen' in this series is, aside from obviously joining the Megalonia legally. Do they get higher paying jobs, insurance, etc. like regular citizens in today's world? I like the contrast between the nostalgic art style of the characters and the technology featured in their world. As I've mentioned before, I'm really enjoying the background music and insert songs in this series. |

| I don't really understand the purpose of the inclusion of the "gear". If you have better gear than your opponent, you have an advantage. Why unlevel the playing field? One can then use that as an excuse of why Yuri won the fight. It's something that I could never see be included in a sport like boxing. I feel like the show didn't really need to include them. |
| Even if Junkdog got his ass handed to him by Yuri and received a new scar as a reminder, withstanding that much punches and intimidating Yuri enough to make him discard the handicap he'd given shows that he has more than enough potential to be an above average boxer. He even one-punched that mook with a clean hook to the face, regardless of his scrap gear. The boss is really messed up and its nice that the manager stood up for his partner for once even if it's to save his own skin. The guy being butchered while the old man was grovelling having his identity overridden for Joe to enter the tournament was adding insult to injury but his death wasn't in vain for that. |

| Called it. Junk Dog lost hahah. Wouldn't make sense for him to beat Yuri the world champ boxer in the early eps X) but now HE HAS BEEN REBIRTHED AS JOE! Clean slate. LEGGO! But damn, the jam in this episode is fireeeeee. Truly a "Great Track, #01" hehe |

| Another really damn good episode, underdog stories done well are fucking great. He ain't just your average Joe. Haven't watched Ashita no Joe, but Junk Dog choosing Joe as his name is awesome and I can definitely feel how legendary the name is. The soundtrack is straight up fire though. |
