| Decent animation and visuals. It is really impressive how much Lerche evolved as a studio. I also absolutely adore the character designs in this show. I especially like The Forest Musician and Hardgore Alice's designs, but the rest look great as well. Overall, pretty good first impression. I loved Madoka Magica (the TV series at least) so this will definitely be one of the shows I will be keeping up for this season. |

| Well madoka took 3 eps to plunge into darkness, and it seems from the after-credits that next ep we get the deatth game plotline, so i think this is progressing well. Can't wait until that scene at the very beginning has some context. :D |

| The setting is really unique.Im supurised that a boy become a magical girl,"transgender person"?xD Though I think the character design is a bit identical.They just change the hair style a bit and the others are just the same,but still 5/5 |

| So finally got to watch the first episode and yep this is as creatively dead and as edgy as expected out of post-madoka derivative mahou shoujo clone shows. This tries to be Madoka SO hard but lacks both the visual style and substance Madoka had to achieve it. At least the likes of Yuki Yuna put their own twist on the formula, while this is completely uninterested in that. ITs as if someone saw Madoka and went - "hey what if we take madoka and mix it with death game meme like wixoss! That will work, right?!" The problem however is that it keeps trying to pretend that there's something more instead of getting to the killing. Let's be frank. "deaths" and "edge" was the least crucial part of Madoka because the substance and the philosophical exploration was strong. This does not have any of that, so most of this feels more like padding or trying to build up towards all the grim and dark stuff. Might watch just to see how terrible and tryhard this can get. So far however there's nothing real valuable or unique in this. It simply combines the derivative elements of two tired industry trends while trying to look like Madoka, but failing. If it improves it might be a decent silly popcorn watch show about cute silly mahou shoujos murdering each other in grim ways, but I doubt it will ever have actual substance or philosophical depth. 3/5. |

| Pretty neat and usable vision in the episode, all very sugary, but the idea that he could continue in this way, it was impossible, since the flashback episode to start. However, from the synopsis, it seems to be very much in line with other anime of the same strand. The thing that I was taken aback in the episode, is to discover the true identity of La Pucelle. Drawings, animations and color design, very good. The character design I liked. I liked how they handled the character of Koyuki. I hope that at the end of the war, and not die, the character of Nemurin, is so cute! Pitiful. That show never ever tried to be like madoka to begin with. The only common point is magical girl and not a happy story. Are you really goingto showcase for the next ten years any show with those two characteristics as "try hard to be like madoka"? Really? Get your fact straight. This show is aiming in a completely different direction as madoka. So obviously it will "fail" to be like madoka since it's not trying nor wanting to be. And yes, obviously, you will get no psychological depth since that's not the aim of that show. What you're doing is the same as judging every single story involving a video game like it's "trying to be like sao". You should know better. You should know how stupid it is. Madomagi (and sao as well) wasn't even the first anime with those characteristics. Mahoiku is a story that is like 10 times longer and bigger than madoka, with more than ten times the amount of characters, has far more world building than madoka as a result, and is talking about something completely different as madoka in its volumes. And just to say, i'm not even a fan of Mahoiku. And especially the first arc you're getting in anime, I don't even think it's good. But that doesn't mean it's okay to say stupidity like that and deny its right to exist as an independent story. It doesn't try to copy madomagi, it's not plagiarising, it's not a knock off, rip off, or whatever. So if you're going to judge that work, judge it for itself. Not, as a copy of madoka. peoples watching Mahoiku thinking they'll get what madoka gave them are wrong to begin with. |

| Came for the blood and mahou slaughter, still no get it....yet (I want it ASAP!) It's was nice bout how they handle the secrets of the mahou shojos and that modern appeal. Souta... that was super unexpected lol, I already thought that he would appear there sooner or later... but as magical boy, no as a real girl with heels and make up (at least they would give him a Ranma 1/2 treatment, no that abomination lol) xD |
| This is great. I am loving it already. Loving the romance between Koyuki and Sou, loving how Sou, a guy, is a mahou shojo. Really digging the plot. Can't wait for it to get bloody! Also it will obviously be compared to the likes of Madoka Magica. So far i haven't found much similarity aside from the similar dark premise. This is great on its own. Also people who can't wait for action need to learn about build-up and stuff already. This episode already felt fast enough, stop complaining over such a pointless thing when theres only 1 ep out. |

| Unfortunately it's becoming slightly hard to take this kind of anime seriously, but I still like the genre and I like Lerche so I had to open the box. Pretty back to basics system I'd say, traditional mahou shoujo jargon and all that except the obvious video game influences, so no pluses and no minuses really in that dep. All in all an introduction this episode, so not much to rate on, but was reasonably done. I tentatively like the designs. Such a tender age to undergo sex reassignment surgery. That was very funny somehow. Plus points for that... and I am half sure that he will get killed in the coming months Or maybe turn heel |

| 'Relentless and merciless survival game'. I hope so! Please live up to this expectation. I kind of like dark/psychological shows that give off that cute vibe on the surface. I'm really hoping this is a thriller and not mislabelled, first episode is not making me feel too confident. |

| Interesting first episode! Quite like the OP and ED (ED reminded me of One OK Rock with the good English XD) and the designs are all pretty cute too. So the game picks out magical girls ... and well, I was surprised that her childhood friend Sou came back so soon! Guess even guys can transform too ... fully it seems?! XD Anyway looks like next episode it might get a bit darker (the intro was a big clue) and well, they're gonna have to half their numbers ... somehow :O I wonder if the scoring system/those Candies have anything to do with it? Maybe that's why some girls group up? Guess we'll have to wait for the next episode :P |

| Hmm this episode was certainly light hearted. Still that thought that someone could if they were very lucky become a real life magical witch is interesting. The mc who is named Kouki who is played by veteran seiyuu Nao Toyama is a cheerful, positive and kind person that loves Magical girls. Nemu looks to be a lazy girl that seems to enjoy dreaming. Nana or sister nana played by veteran seiyuu Saori Hayami looks to be the kind and caring type that supports the others via abilities. The nun outfit actually suits her. Weiss looks to be the cool and silent one La pucelle somehow sounds like a boy instead of a girl lol i won't be surprised if she is in fact the mc's best childhood friend Its nice to see Ayane sakura playing a good girl character type again Cranberry looks to be the cute, delicate type that uses music as her weapon Top speed looks to be the cheerful and kind one that can bond with anyone she looks just like a typical witch right down to the black hat and broomstick lol Ripple looks like a ninja/magical girl lol the quiet but skilled type eh Scenes wise the bus scene when the warning came after the bus rocked was funny as was the chat room scene. This was a strong episode with a interesting setting and story. I like how it expands the traditional magical girl genre in a new way. The characters so far are pretty interesting and the mc is just so lovable and relatable. It will be interesting to see where this goes especially with the revelation in the end where the number of girls were halved to 8. |

Since the main girl brought up her childhood male friend, I figured he'd show up somehow as a mage (as he worded it) or a knight (something like Tuxedo Mask), at some critical point in the story when she was in trouble. FUCKING NOPE. Just fucking straight up, he's also a magical girl now! That was a twist I didn't see coming, lol. All the designs are cute and nice as well. I like ninja girl's costume. Probably cause I like characters with scarves and side ponytails... |

I like how you completely trash the show then give it a 3/5 lol. To be honest, I don't think any mahou shoujo this generation will be as creative or groundbreaking as Madoka, which was the next step/ evolution for the genre. I feel Yuki Yuna didn't have much substance to it and even copped-out with its ending (still liked it though). Wixoss put its own spin on the genre with its with its social issues theme, and it's probably the only female cast card game anime I've seen. What bothered me most was the f***ing dude-magical-girl - just so damned wrong... no matter how interesting it gets, it's a stain that will forever mar the show. There's just some rules you can't break. |

That doesn't mean they're gonna try to kill each other. It could mean something endurance wise, or the ones with the most candy in XX day/time will stay as magical girls. It's just stupid to be judging like this at Episode 1. Also, I see nothing wrong with the dude going full magical girl. He was committed to it and doesn't seem to care too much besides that it's kind of embarrassing. It's the same idea as that Kampfer anime or what'sit. It'd be weird if it was like Kore wa Zombie where the dude just dressed up as one and took it 100% seriously. |

| I love the designs for their magical girl outfits. Outside of that, I'm actually not particular to the design of the backgrounds or characters at all when they aren't transformed. I know this series is gonna' go down a survival-like route, but I honestly liked the positive vibes in this episode. Oh well, it won't last. Sigh. |

| This Majou Shoujo show definitely needs to be DARK themed! or else i'll RAGE!!! (cuz i'm still not contented with Madoka and they need to keep producing more shows that have more Urobutcher despair style) For now I don't know what to expect because of my Madoka syndrome! lolz! NANO for the ED was so EPIC!!! 5/5! I already scored it! 9/10. |

All it did was done before. It was well made, but it didn't create anything, and more importantly here, mahoiku isn't borrowing anything from it either. |
