It's not even subtle like in PMMM (exception of Rebellion), this is like a full out homo experience as advertised in the opening. Fujoshii isn't a mainstream demographic and shouldn't be placed in a shonen magazine if it doesn't want to be criticized. The author/director doesn't care about the criticisms though, so good on him. I personally don't really care, but it's a bit dis jarring when it's hard to tell if they're just like brothers or if there's really some other vibe here(Ie director ambiguity). Brainless might be too harsh a word, but there's really no substance to this anime. The first few arcs of Naruto blow this out of the water. Teenagers do love blood, swords and general edginess though, so I can see where the brainless comment comes from. Taste is subjective, but when you've seen Hunter x Hunter the bar is set pretty high. You can't beat a work like that.... |

| well if you will consider it, this series is really just like we will deal to the whole part 1 of the manga so it is not surprising that cliches are high. Most anime always started like that but i cannot say that just because of that this show is already no good. I love how the anime do their pacing. For me, introduction is very important for us to very well down understand each characters since we are dealing with apocalypse settings. Each characters has their tragic past anyway. Not unlike other anime who really didn't cared about it and just go to some action, throw a sudden plot twist since they think that people only want is nothing but action and surprised. |

Obviously, since they fight against vampires and other monsters. In case you did not notice, vampires are not real. And a community with food and even a school, guarded by soldiers, is not impossible. There are circa 10 milion survivors in Japan, so a complete downfall of the society would be nonsense. |

| I think the main reason it gets more hate than other shows that people hate is because it has a huge amount of wasted potential. I'm pretty much an Attack on Titan fangirl but I'd love to see shows rip off AoT if they actually captured the essence of it. This show has a very appealing great art and setting but not only does it lack that heavy feel of despair but there's a ton of plot holes, irrationality, and the characters in general are very flat personality-wise. It's just frustrating seeing a show that could've been so good and yet it just lacks the finer points to accomplish that. |

That is why people are hating on it because the good underrated anime they like, no one is talking about. I personally like anime like this and I don't mind it being completely mediocre, or ever below average. I watch anime to forget my busy daily life for the 20-ish minutes of an anime episode and series like this do that job well for me. |

Personally I enjoy this series, and while there are some familiar elements involved, I think the author ties things nicely and has created a pretty intriguing plot. Anyone who attacks the show for 'homo' probably doesn't know the pain girls feel seeing the 300 titty shit animes that pour out every goddamn season so shut up. It's not even as homo as the fucking bath time titty grabbing that shows up in every anime with 2+ girls so seriously stop being such pissbabies. Besides that, I understand how some people are quick to see it as a rip off of other animes, but you really gotta give it a chance to see if the author does anything interesting with said pilfered ideas. If you still don't like it, you can leave your piece and go... don't have to follow threads for 10 years just to make sure everyone knows how much of a pissant you are lol. Even me, I hate a lot of anime but I don't stalk threads just to tell everyone they have shit taste haha. Just post a 1/10 review and move on with your life. | From this day forward I imagine all of the hate will be for the craptacular production values that are so low, it's practically negative to the point of being a spectacle in it's own right. Not just the animation; sound, editing, art quality, direction... literally every aspect of production is so poorly done I don't even have words for it. I thought I'd seen shit when I watched Mekaku Shitty Actors. I was wrong. |

I can't say anything similar to the 3D maneuver gear, but the creator himself has stated that the manga is inspired by Muv-Luv Alternative. |
