What a touching episode. I can really understand Kou. If this happened to you it's like you're in hell and there's no way out. You shut down your feels for almost everything.

Kou can be really happy to have Futaba. All the feels man ;_ ;

I never expected an episode to start and end with this much emotion. I feel like I can watch it again and again and still be moved...

This made me so emotional! I'm so happy that we finally got to see Kou's feelings. Young Kou was so sweet </3
And the scene in the park between Futaba and Kou was just perfect. Seems like he has finally remembered how to open the fucking door.

that should be preserved for tonari no kaibutsu kun, not this.

can't say anything against kou and his mom, that must have been really tough. his mother having cancer in her lungs huh? never expected that, that must have really hurt when she coughed, cancer hurts so unbelievably much.

however i understand kou's brother having a job and everything, but couldn't he have took a few days off his work to go to his brother? being a teacher brings a salary, so he wouldn't lose any money. even if he did it wouldn't be much.

even if he couldn't leave, why didn't he bring his brother to him instead? send him a ticket and then bring him with him and his dad.

come to think of it why didn't his dad do anything ._.

and this may be just me, but it was kinda obvious they picked kaji's voice for this very moment, lol. i haven't watched a single ep of SnK, i don't need to in order to say that kaji is a pretty good and unique crier and screamer. those first "I'm sorry..."s were so good, it was clear his heart broke then.

however...the emotion on kou's face vs kaji's voice was waaaay off, kaji sounded way more heartbreaking.

but the other half of the ep was messy. him "opening his door" was way too quick. and what did yoshi mean "I'm sure this is the only way I've seen him"? didn't kou's bro say that he's the only person he lets his emotions out around him, crying "Brother, brother!" remember?

oh and i really liked that song that played when yoshi was running to kou. very nice to the earbuds , would recommend.

Although Kous reasons for beeing like he is are understandable I have to say that he was really annoying most of the time. For now I'm glad that he could open up and that his character will change.

Episode was quite touching.

Seeing Kou's dream made me sad seeing him lose his mother as she grows thinner day by day and he had to deal with it all by himself. It's sad that he focused too much on his academics instead of spending time with his mom. Surely, he regretted that mistake of his. Glad that Futaba is there, knocking on his heart, telling him it's alright to come out and have the permission to have fun, to laugh. Pretty much he got shy and hugged Futaba so that she won't see him crying. This episode is really emotional.

Also, rip to that guy. Heard his name is Kikuchi Touma-kun?

Kou still stinks. He's a lucky punk having hot Futaba all over him. And he's right that it's weird how everyone is trying to get involved with him.

Kou should have gotten together with hot Futaba within one episode if he were a real man.

Not feeling it. Showing Kou's backstory makes it understandable why he's acting like a jerk toward Futaba, but it doesn't make it acceptable. He's basically seen how Futaba cares for him and kept teasing her and dragging her along and playing with her feelings over and over again, saying how undesirable she was, not even a girl. Every jerk in history has some excuse. Who has had abusive parents, who's been abandoned, who's experienced loss at an early age. Guess what? Also people who are not jerks experience losses, more so as time passes. But not everyone copes with it by treating those who love them as if their feelings don't matter.

And sure, love can change people... but often the change is temporary, and when the hormonal storm is over, people tend to go back to their deep-rooted coping mechanisms. This is why I feel that it doesn't matter if we get a romantic kiss at the end. I'm already imagining how these people would be in a relationship a few years down the line, and considering how Kou's been behaving, it doesn't look romantic. For it to be romantic we'd have to see a more profound change than this, and there simply isn't enough time for it with just one episode left.

A bizarre way to introduce a new character like damn

Kou crying really hurt, he was so young and felt guilty for everything. Futuba was the storm that helped him eh

THIS WAS THE BEST EPISODE ON THE ENTIRE FUCKING SERIES it was so emotive, it almost got me crying fr
kou got more depth then I expected him to have, I already knew about his mom bc of internet spoilers, but surprisingly it was still as emotive and sad to see it on the series
seeing kou opening up to yoshioka was beautiful 😭😭😭😭😭 i luv em

Nothing much to say or reason about his past because that was genuinely depressing but still this doesn't warrant his acting like a queen behavior for the better part of the series. People are all over him, but who's he to care about them.

Also remember folks, if you trip.. then try to do it with a girl cuz you can be as lucky as that orange haired dude.

How does this end? What is this last episode going to be? How can I control these emotions? I dunno... This episode was just so sad man :(. Seeing Kou's mom in the flashbacks n' stuff it's just things that are the harsh truth, and how things can effects people. Even if these events are completely out of their control. What's next?

Oooh, even though I still don't really like Kou and Futaba's personalities, I like the whole episode.

I guess the guy who fell with Futaba in the library will be a funny guy lol xD like he'll be on the same frequency as Kominato.
