| haha reading the posts for this series have been a great source of amusement for 10minutes xD so much so I had to even think back as to what the episode was about :P But yeah Cal just got super bad-ass wow, again maybe a tad too far and unrealistic I mean there 3-4 guys all shooting her with machine guns and she didn't even attempt cover and not one of them hit her?! :/ and then throws a sheet up in the air... disappears.. the re-appears behind them? hmmmm..... but for some strange reason I got a serious Kill Bill feel to it, just replacing swords with guns obviously xD not sure why other than that, looking forward to what appears to be a big showdown next episode! |

Cal being a badass phantom feels very artificial to me. |
| I can't believe Lizzie is standing next to that scummy Scythe. Seriously how could they take that trash back? I don't really like the new Cal. She's not quite Scythe's obedient little slave though. No wonder Reji feels bad though, the guy would have to be riddled with guilt at this point. Now to learn Cal has become the new puppet all because of him. That he personally is responsible for this. I can't think of a character I want to see die more than Scythe at the moment. I think if I was him I would have just said forget Cal and Erin. I would have followed Scythe, and at the right time killed him. Brutally. Inferno should be killed for stupidity, why would they have that guy? |

| I'm starting to miss the cute little Cal, she was more likeable. If Cal stays as an antagonist and gets killed, I will truly hate this show. She did wait 3 days for Reiji at the apartment though, so it is partly his fault she's become like this. |

| What was up with the shootout between Cal and those henchman? She was out in the open and everyone misses. Are they incompetent? Is she a ghost? Both? I guess it's forgivable though since it's not reality. Scythe continues to be an evil genius, what a great guy. cool episode. |

| Cal Devens is a women of ACTION. That infiltration and assassination was just straight up awesome. Kind of cool to see Lizzie, Scythe and Shiga again too. I still love all the school scenes ^^, it's just a really nice implementation, especially since our 2 main characters are being targeted and are still playing off the "double life". I always love that type of theme, especially the internal thoughts/processing that occurs with it. So Eren and Cal finally confront one another. Let it begin. |

I don't sympathize with at all despite knowing that she grew up in a shitty world. If Reiji and Eren could somehow try to live normally, then it's not impossible for Cal to do so either. Although understandable that the assassin route was a better choice than anything else when it comes to prostitution and whatnot, it definitely was far from the only route she can take. It just goes to show that she did want to become an assassin even though she saw what Reiji had struggled through being an assassin. Poor Reiji believes that he was the one to drag her into the underworld, but it's honestly not even his fault entirely...plus, she actually likes it. LOL and it's as if she thinks that calling Eren "ex-Phantom" is an insult...I'm pretty sure Eren could care less and would rather not have that title. |
| Bleh that opening is still such a turn off. Cal certainly knows how to make one hell of an entrance. She's become a top notch assassin and seems to enjoy it as if it was a game in contrast to Eren and Reiji doing it because they had nowhere to go back to and full of regret and emptiness. My guess is that Scythe manipulated her "natural hatred" - as he put it - and told her something along the lines of Eren killed Judy and Reiji ran off with her. I'm sure it's probably hitting Reiji the hardest though, since he saw Cal as someone who he wanted to keep away from the world he was a part of at all costs. He even caught a glimpse of hope in finding happiness by eventually breaking free of his life as Phantom and living peacefully with Cal one day. But then to see her go from the girl who only wanted to help him and be at his side into a killer who enjoyed it. I get the feeling this isn't going to end well at all. |

| I like this last arc. Push more on those killer hidden feeling. That beginning scene showed the lack of control from Cal, she's a good killer, but she's not a good assassin in my opinion. The fact that Lizzie work for Scythe is just too weird in my opinion. I mean, Lizzie was working for Claudia because of her friendship, I think it would have been better if we haven't seen her anymore. I have a feeling there's no going back for Cal. Someone will surely have to kill her unfortunately. Once someone is blinded by hatred, it's difficult to change him. |

| I am still not overly satisfied with current change of pace but next episode seems very promising, I guess they just need to set the ground before killing starts. In a way every act is homage to different approaches to gun-drama genre and that's how Urobuchi written it, intentionally. |
| This last arc is all sorts of terrible, just laughable all the way through so far. I'm still waiting for Cal to justify her blind hatred for Reiji. Seems like not even the writers have a clue as to why shes so dedicated to kill someone who treated her like a close friend and only abandoned her due to her presumed death. Also Lizzie's death was so hilariously cheesy and bad. Didn't buy her and Cal's relationship to be that close for a second. Also the stupid watch thing Cal does is just cringeworthy to watch, a poor attempt at giving an assassin some interesting set of rules and poetic way to finish off her victims. If I was a busy man I would of dropped this show already but because of the hype I heard about it and because I have more than enough free time currently I'll finish it, but I won't do so without a solid amount of bitching all the way till the end. |
| When I saw that Cal was still alive two episode back I was overjoyed but this Cal is just bad... this is totally someone else this ain't our adorable little Cal anymore this is just another experiment assassin... Well that said the series did go a totally different path which I still don't know if I like or dislike but well let's see what will happen next! |

| Man, this show has been irritating me for a while now, but this episode was just appalling. Given everything he's done, it's ridiculous that Inferno trust Scythe or that someone hasn't killed that guy. The new Cal is just stupid: she seriously hates Reiji for him being "dead" (seeing as that's more or less how that is)? And that's not even mentioning the part where she was involved in the shoot out and was not even getting harmed despite bullets going directly at her. And there's no way in hell she grew that much since the explosion at the apartment. What a joke. And this had been going fairly well (it had been really good until it was decided that a shot in the heart and drowning is completely insignificant). |

| Somehow, this show's got even more stupid over the past few episodes. Though I had my problems with the action before, that scene early on where Cal somehow dodges an a whole bunch of people shooting full-auto rifles at her just by walking in a straight line strains disbelief. It makes me wonder why anyone bothered using cover in previous episodes. And then, miraculously, she can teleport using a table cloth like some kind of magician? It's just too much. That's not even mentioning the other problems with Cal, such as her bizarre transformation from a little kid into a bombshell in two years and her blind, illogical hatred of Reiji when it's pretty obvious he thought she was dead if she spent a second or two to consider it. That said, though, the fact that Reiji didn't think to check for her was also another nice bit of plot-mandated stupidity, so I guess it all balances out. |

| I know the previous gunfight scenes weren't realistic, but Cal dodging all of that automatic rifle fire while being out in the open is absurd. Also, the Scythe Master dickhead worms his way out of getting strangled, again. Why does the plot shape itself to protect him at every opportunity? He isn't even that good a villain. He just inexplicably teleports everywhere, gets forgiven by everyone, and has wiretaps and hidden cameras in every single building in every single country (somehow). |

| The new/last arc is developing quite nicely. It reminds me of Jojo's Bizzare adventure season 4 set in Japan for some reason idk why lol. I guess it's gonna be a battle of phantoms now. Let's see if the Adam and Eve of phantoms live up to their status. > 1:39 AM, 14/12/24 |
