Even though this was a re-watch for me it was still fun to watch all the way. Going to read the Manga some time in the future.

Chapter 83 for anyone else interested in reading the manga

When I saw this anime was rated 8.46/10, I was very excited as I had thought this was going to be amazing.

At the end, I only found it good.

Everything is very one dimensional and cliche, albeit entertaining. Hopefully the manga will spend less time on the actual baseball games, and showing more character in Tokuchi because the anime keeps hinting of his notoriety and more malicious nature but we don't see glimpses into his past or what motivates him.

Although I am surprised, because I learned more about baseball and that you can add digits to see if numbers are divisible by 3!

If you enjoyed the baseball aspect of this, you'd probably enjoy Ookiku Furikabutte. The games are slower but they pay far more attention to baseball technique (I'm no expert but it just seems that way) and character development.

With that said, although I didn't go into this with any pre-watch hype, I was a bit underwhelmed at how it didn't really go beyond Tokuchi effortlessly outwitting everyone. I have to admit that it definitely had me laughing up a storm and was entertaining, but it felt shallow otherwise and, due to Tokuchi's god mode, predictable in many cases. The open ending was a bit disappointing as well, although it's golden to see the owner acting like a typical gambler, repeatedly saying "I'll make up for all of my losses this time!" probably until he's bankrupt.

I'm not disappointed with it, but I definitely can't give it more than an 8.

Very fun show. I learned a lot of rules and baseball loopholes haha. Near a 9, but not quite. I need a season 2, but I'm okay with reading the manga I suppose. Not that much character development, resolution or feel good moments so I can't give it a 9. But hella fun characters, great humour, awesome protag and nice cute side characters.

If you enjoyed the baseball aspect of this, you'd probably enjoy Ookiku Furikabutte.

Awesome. I'm going to watch that next. Need to fill my baseball kokoro.

This is a great show, but Akagi's character is > than Tokuchi. Akagi would take a Gyro Ball to the head with no helmet from Shigeno Goro to win a bet or destroy someone.

Didn't exactly meet up to the hype surrounding it, but enjoyable nonetheless. I was a bit underwhelmed with character development though... hopefully the manga is better.

Will this anime get a second season? As I understood, this isn't the real ending, but only half of the manga?

I can't even describe the joy I had when they thought they've taken Tokuchi down. I was laughing my ass off from there on.

8/10 overall from me. I'll miss you Tokuchi Toua, the genius! Hoping for a 2nd season...

9/10 I really liked this anime overall.

But I really do think the match with Blue Mars could have been more exciting. Similar to the match with the Mariners perhaps. I just didn't think they put enough emphasis on the Lycaons' own strategy over Tokuchi figuring and cancelling out Blue Mars' cheating strategies. Just my opinion though.

Of course, I would love a second season too, though that seems rather redundant now after 4 or 5 years :P

A great anime I will definitely remember it for a while since it is my first baseball anime and Toua is such a bad-ass, to bad we probably won't get a second season or a dub since the sales were bad :/ Maybe I'll check out the manga... Anyways 9/10 for me :D

Completely retarded. Amazing concept, and great protagonist, but the rest of the cast members are just so retarded, it's unbearable. Also, the business aspect of the story is a complete disaster. It is a shitty plot device that is poorly explored and only used because the author couldn't think of a better setting to put an amazing protagonist in. In fact, business itself, tries to become an antagonist to the main character, which it obviously fails at.

Overall, I feel like it deserves an 8, but when I think about it, One Outs definitely was not 'very good'. So, I'll give it a 7, because I do admit it was 'good'. As I stated before, the concept and the protagonist did save the show. However, a good concept, as well as a good protagonist (which unfortunately is surrounded by a bunch of losers), alone, cannot save this train wreck.

It's funny cuz you obviously have no idea what you're talking about here. Your ranking system is probably the most subjective thing I've ever seen. You could probably say that the show is AMAZING but still give it a 4/10 rating -.-

Payback is a bitch. Loool

Overall, I enjoyed watching this show. Tokuchi is a badass character.
I loved how it shows the psychological aspect of a sport.
Although it has very little character development.
7/10

Can't wait to read the manga.
I hope there is a 2nd season. It really is an underrated anime.

Good show, kept me entertained. I always liked the moments where they would use fouling tactics. Made me lol a lot. I never thought baseball could have psychological aspects, and this show made it work. Learned some rules as well.

Great ending!

Wow did that batter get the tables turned on him. *tries to frame Tokuchi* *ends up getting himself framed* GET REKT M8!

Love Toua's face of badass at the very end. He really is a badass. Not as cool as Kaiji in my opinion but still pretty awesome.

Very good! This was my second sports anime I've seen and it ended up being great!

9/10 for this episode. 8.5/10 for the entire anime.

I hope to god this gets a second season. It absolutely needs one!

I'm just worried that the owner will eventually take it off of the field and hire someone to injure Tokuchi while he is driving his car. Or hire lawyers to find a loophole in the contract where he doesn't have to pay.

8/10, wish there were more scenes outside of baseball.

This show shows the brutal truth about cheating in sports well.
Too bad it ended halfway but it was a great ride nonetheless. Toua is easily one of my favourite characters of all time and it was a pleasure to watch it even though I'm not a fan of sports anime.
Season 2 please.

Wouldn't consider this "baseball", this anime describes baseball as accurately as that one anime with a moe nobunaga describes nobunaga. But that doesn't mean I didn't like it. Of course the reason I picked it up was so that I could resume the manga, so not really bummed with the ending of the anime at all.

8/10. Quite solid. It's really refreshing to watch a series where the MC always wins. I don't have to suffer in anxiety as I worry about the potential of losing (Oofuru S2 I'm look at you).

Definitely going to check out the manga. The anime ending is a bit lackluster.

Wow, that was really an awesome ending.

You can't frame Toua for cheating but it would have been nice to see them win the championship tbh.

Toua Tokuchi was such a badass and I enjoyed this show for the psychological aspects and explanations and how smart Toua was. I liked it more than I thought I would which is rare.

I guess I could try reading the manga maybe if I have time. I hardly ever read manga any more.

I doubt the owner will ever get his money back, he'll just keep losing more.

I wish it had gotten a second season, I'm gonna miss this show! and Toua ;____________;

I'd give it a 10 overall probably.

The ending was not quite good, and why the hell Toua didn't expose them? And umpire should've continued checking the player coz that behaviour from Blue Mars player was clearly suspicious and still the umpire let him go without checking completely.

And if the owner can easily see the tricks in the replay, then anyone can see Blue Mars cheating through cameras, why the hell they are not caught yet by the umpires.

And i noticed many plot holes in the series and there were also pretty obvious tricks and they were exaggerating Toua a little bit with those obvious tricks by showing him how smart he is. Overall it was good series, I enjoyed it, would rate it 7/10.

I have to be honest here. After hating the first 3 episodes, I absolutely loved the rest of the anime.

Toukuchi is not a bad guy at all. He doesn't cheat (at best he counters it when you can't prove what the bad guys are doing) and he keeps his promises. Nice to see as well that nothing is left to the owner.

Only got small problems with this anime, nothing that would take the pleasure from watching it.

Really, really nice. Easy 9/10 for me.

PS: Kaiji is shit, don't say this crap anime's name here, please.

Yea, but when the real baseball parts started it became great. It was fun to watch him overcoming the obstacles that their opponents made.
