This is the most intense episode of Gundam 00 2nd Season I've ever watched. Just when everybody is dying in their battle, Setsuna could listen to them... it's too sad.
Setsuna's Innovation looks pretty cool since I didn't watch the previous Gundams. But I don't like the ridiculous god thingies

Tieria losing his body is kinda sad.
Now, I hope Ali is really dead. Go Lockon!

I actually liked this one a lot more than the last one but did anyone notice the mass inconsistencies throughout the episode?

-Billy has a remote for the automations, yet you see him shooting at them with sumeragi a couple of minutes later.

Waaa, I didn't notice that at all. O__o

First 10 minutes of the show was absolutely amazing!! To be honest, I wouldn't mind if they delayed Setsuna's rainbow for a few seasons, and just keep watching that super intense fight forever :]

However, I'm so glad that Lockon finally kills Ali :D About time he finally avenges Neil (y)

Anyway, yeah, I'm still feeling super high from the action, so this ep gets a 5/5 from me :D

Also, Tieria definitely scared me for a second (but like, I should have known better since I knew Kamiyan was in the trailer for a trail blazer event ). Still a pretty interesting scene to watch though, and in retrospective, I wouldn't mind using the word "amazing" to describe it, as the OP trollingly did.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm also so so so so so happy for the return of Hallelujah.... took a whole season for him to finally properly resurface, but hell yeah!! WELCOME BACK, YOU AWESOME, BADASS AMAZING CHARA/PERSONALITY!! :D

The Gundam rainbow pretty much made any "growth that we achieve by our own hands" as Sumeragi calls it, futile, since it can cure any malady and help achieve the impossible. It's like the flipside coin of comic book villain Ribbons Almark.

Great action sequences though.

Yeah... if you didn't like this episode, I don't know what to tell you. This was just... wow. Wow.. I'm not gonna say the previous episodes didn't have plenty of jawdropping "oh shit" moments, or that they were anticlimactic, but this episode... I was tearing up to the point I almost cried four times this episode. Every build up bloomed perfectly. Setsuna's desperation as everyone was on the verge of death. Andrei's screams when it finally sunk in that he unjustly killed his father. Lyle's sudden remembrance of Anew's final words to him. My gosh. ;______;

Amazing, amazing episode. Everything was simply flawless.

This show should be called Mobile Suit Tsundere Gundam 2nd Season because the plot is basically how everyone couldn't be honest with their feelings resulting in misunderstandings one after another.

Also apparently rainbow could make you understand one another though it seems other colors than green seems gone by time, sounds like drug anyway.

At the end of eps, I was actually trying to remember the name of that suit Ribbons piloted from the original series. I only remembered someone named Kai piloted it.

Another decent episode. The battles were not that great though, and a lot got ended fast because of Setsuna becoming god. (or something like that) Hopefully the final episode concludes things well. I guess there is a movie too, so some things might not be finished in the final episode, nonetheless, I hope it concludes things well.

Nothing really that special happened this episode, so I can't really say what I thought of it.

It was alright ?

I liked the music in this episode. And I thought Lockon was going to let Ali Al-Saachez live. Finally someone managed to kill that guy.

The only thing good here was Sachez getting head shot.

The bad:
So now Billy forgets his overreaction and becomes a generic "for the greater good" villain.
Mass quantum brainwaves thoughts thingy version from 00 Raiser
It can even get the dead to communicate (how else could Anew do it)
Ha! Nena didn't get invited to that one.
And I thought you couldn't make that thoughts thing from 9 episodes or so any stupider but I was wrong...

Haven't seen Zeta.

That was still a bad episode though... I'm surprised so many people like this show as much as they do, considering it's rather high MAL score.

@CodeBlazeFate It's all about superpowered action after leading us to think (in the first series) that it would be about the construction of a unified world politic leading to a bigger event. At least, the movie finale gave a nice and original conclusion to the communication bridge theme (despite the fact it was recycled from 0079).

°° has a few hommages to 0079 but mostly takes from Wing: insipid cast of characters (with the obligatory handsome boys Gundam pilots) who are almost never "talked about" through 50episodes and rarely show themselves, overpowered sentaimecha collection, extremely toned down politic/ideology aspects of Gundam.
Since Wing is the Gundam who started it all in the West (except in Italy who discovered it in 1980), "we" want more of it and "we" are extremely pleased if we got an action-centered High Grade Definition Gundam.
For more interesting scores (who actually use the MAL score words literally), see here.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the finale. It is a rather effective film in the action department. The "critics" focuse on "something who shouldn't be in a Gundam show" to prove it is a bad thing, but this isn't really a valid argument (or make a photocopy of the previous ones). Watch it on a big screen :D

edit: my God, you already watched three of four more Gundam shows in a few days xD

Ah, thanks for the heads up.

That 00 Season 2 review was good, and honestly is a more condensed version of what I feel about that season in particular. Only difference is that I hated (or at least disliked) most of the assholes in that season.

I've seen clips of the movie since it's a lot harder to find legally then the main 00 series, and things look... questionable... Maybe when I can find the film whole (hopefully legally, especially now that there a pirate hunters) I'll be able to truly evaluate for myself. From what I saw, Allelujah, that is NOT how you parkour!

Also, SEED was the only one I watched for like two weeks until it finished, prompting me to buy Turn A (only way to watch) and find two episodes of Thunderbolt on GundamInfo (episodes 3 and 4 aren't on there yet).

@CodeBlazeFate Already done, both of them. But now I know why your name seemed familiar.
It's a strange way of chaining the different series XD (well at least you got to watch Turn A a lot faster than me, since I follow the original chronology)
(Pirate hunters are after the providers, not the end of the chain)

That last one is true. (Albeit without the providers dork series will have no way to be watched outside of DVD or in the case of Monster, be faded to nothingness.)

I just did shows that could be watched stand alone without going into a show that is in the midst of a huge chronology. The original chronology has no way to be streamed legally, and the same can be said for a majority of Gundam shows. That makes it impossible for me to watch Unicorn RE: 0096 due to it being an alternate version of an OVA set so far into the original chronology.

I was scratching my head at that as well...hmm

Anyways, not really fond of this new Trans Am Burst... but sure, because you can evolve to be an Innovator, and Setsuna is like the best of all, a purebred Innovator, again, wtv that means. Purebred has to do with genetics, and this has nothing to do with genetics. Also, apparently an Innovade can evolve to become an Innovator. There's a limit to suspension of disbelief, and for some reason, this show is really pushing it for me. It's not as if I haven't seen more random stuff, but idk, it has to do with the world they've built and then all these elements don't seem to fit in it, imo. I was also a bit dumbfounded hearing that Aeolio's plan had to do with making humanity understand in case of future interaction with ALIENS. I mean what?

GN Particles: The miracle drug!

I was sure Setsuna would be the one to eventually finish off Al-Sachez but I guess he had enough on his plate. Lyle avenging Neil was still satisfying tho

Great episode,i can't explain how happy i was when ali was shot by Lyle, finally.
Seeing Saji and Louise togheter again was so cute, i was waiting for this moment.
I thought tieria was dead, fortunately now he is linked again with Veda ,i was already starting to cry.
I don't think that the healing Gn particles were an asspull, if the pseudo GN can damage permanently the cells, i don't see why GN particles can't heal things.
