Chihaya: Cries to Arata about how great teams are.
Arata: The only team for me is the one I had with Taichi and Chihaya.
Taichi: I don't want you on my team even if Chihaya does. You're my enemy.

Getting harder for me to like Taichi. All they want is to play on a karuta team together as friends and he can't even accept that. He has his reasons but this comes off as a bit selfish and jealous.

I see where youre coming from and being jealous and selfish are unhealthy traits but at the end of the day..taichi is a realist. They both love the same girl and its a relationship you cant really share...whether she falls for 1 or the other its not as simple as be with 1 and good friends with the other.

I believe it's also a pride thing which is very respectable.

Oh damn there's no break here at all but this time it's more frustrating because Chihaya is hurt.

D'aww that moment when Arata was like my only team was you and Chihaya and that little scoff/snicker he did when Shinobu talked to him was really adorable.

Fuck y'all Taichi haters. He doesn't hate Arata wtf you guys on?

It's painful to see Chihaya play with an injury, but at the same time it makes it more interesting. She'll have to overcome adversity throughout the tournament which can make things more tough for Chihaya. I wonder how much she can last before the injury becomes too much for Chihaya to endure.

4/5

Initial part sweet, but with a little bite when compared to the best moments Slice of Life, seen in other anime.
Second part and exciting, Shinobu MC unchallenged.
Overall not bad, but you could make better use of the first part.
Nice to see how the comapgna of Megumu is so fierce, a real surprise.
Too bad that in this second season, Chihaya is less than the first.
Well, it's comforting to see how the rest of the characters are able to not be ofuscati by his presence.

Arata is really the nicest guy in this show. I feel bad for him, he's the only one thinking him and Taichi are still friends.

I'm I the only one that is annoyed by Chihaya and Arata's relationship. I mean can't they talk for like 5 minutes. It's like they have some doomed relationship like I dunno Romeo and Juliet or something. I mean as Taichi and Chihaya are drawn together her and Arata are destined to be apart or something. Maybe it's different in manga, I haven't read it. Personally I always thought Taichi was a jerk ever since they were kids so maybe just me. Anyways I think that what keeps me watching is hoping Arata will atleast get to talk to her for a little bit. As for the rest of this episode other than minimal Chihaya Arata screen time it was good. Minus the redundant flashback. Seems like they have had lots of flashbacks this season. Let the individual tournament begin!

I agree 1000000%, like at least give her a hug, when she was crying, lol. xD

That recap in the middle of the episode .. again. They sure like to waste their time.
But this is gonna get even more exciting than ever now with the individual tournament.
Hard times for Chihaya.

In the first season i liked taichi as he was the first guy to appear and he was nice and i was hyped about him and Chihaya, but after i continued advancing through the 1st season and then reaching ep 20 of season 2, i must say that taichi is a jerk and a coward.
I guess that most guys/girls here like him more just for being more handsome than Arata and for having more screen time than him. Arata sees him as a friend, yet taichi is as mean towards him as the day they met, and his facade is nothing short of disgusting. He's a COWARD for being unable to be honest with himself, with his "friend" and for deceiving both Arata and Chihaya all this time.
My personal opinion is that all those who root for him are as superficial as they come, if they are able to overlook all the mean and evil things he has done to his friends throughout the story.

Well I think it's pretty unwinnable tournament for Chihaya
But probably she'll win 2 or 3 matches
I'm rooting for Arata! Go win the tournament! Go get it from Queen!

Chihaya, you probably going to win in 3rd season when you're in your 3rd grade of highschool
If there's one.. haha.. ha.. ha

After the exiting team tournament we have the indivdual one now.

Very curious what match ups I will get to see.

Poor Chihaya, tho, has to play with such a big handicap.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

What a great feeling seeing them win the team tourney - all their hard work paid off. How cute when Arata was talking about "his team" and then his plan to return to Tokyo. Chihaya approaching Taichi for comfort was also sweet. The flashback recap was not cute tho. We just had a recap - just overkill. And damn I wish Chihaya and Arata would say more than two words to each other

As much as I like this series, I can't ignore the fact that they keep using flashback over and over again. It's much worse during ep10+ where the last few moments from last episode were repeated during the start of next episode. The first season wasn't like this.

As i love this anime

Its so forceful to let chihaya play even if her finger is injured so the drama will be force also while chihaya playing against a strong opponent thinking about wanting to win even shes handicapped. It's better to let her backdown in this kind of state

I swear if she still manage to win matches with that condition it will be unrealistic if that happen and it will destroyed the plot of this series i dont mind chihaya loses in 1st round.

Chihaya's decision to play with her left hand was wise, but I doubt she will win with her opponent, unfortunately. :(

The individuals are on, at last!!

Wow, what a confession from Taichi. I wonder if he meant a rival in love, karuta, or perhaps both? Either way we definitely know Taichi's feelings now. Good episode. All of those flashbacks from the tournament were very emotional as well.

Not sure what Chihaya was thinking, deciding to play in the individual tournament with an injury. Now she's gonna suffer against a weak opponent all for the sake of drama.

This episode felt like a recap. I wish Arata all the luck to get in to one of the many Tokyo colleges. Glad that Taichi didn't hide his feelings from Arata. Not a fan of Chihaya playing in the individual tournament. Seems like a shit excuse to pull the sports trope of "I'm injured and could basically ruin my whole career by not letting myself heal, but I have to play because bullshit contrived reason".

Arata moving to Tokyo would be a good development for season 3, but I imagine season three will cover the last year of high school rather than college, so eh.

I understand why Chihaya wants to, but playing with an injury feels dumb. Reminds me of another impassioned dummy actually (Gorou from Major).

Why make it so that Chiyaya plays with an injury it would have been better to have her just sit on the sidelines and watch,

Now that she has to has her left hand i bet somehow she's going to get used to it or she's going to use her injured hand

I'm all for her playing with her left hand but at least practice with it more instead of just jumping in when your not used to using it

I'm not sure if Arata even likes Chihaya romantically. I think the entire love triangle is going on all in Taichi's head. Chihaya has a big old Luffy syndrome where she is too childish and airheaded for romance to even cross her mind, and Arata seems to value their friendship above anything else. He even assumed her and Taichi may have started dating and seemed to have been totally fine with it, even being considerate by not trying to give his email ID and phone number to her.

But I don't blame Taichi for feeling insecure and threatened by him. Chihaya has been infatuated with Arata since the beginning, to the point of seeming like she worships him, while being totally unaware of Taichi's feelings for her. So I get why he sees him as an "enemy".

I really wish Chihaya would have forfeited instead of attempting to play with her left hand as she probably feels pretty shit not being able to get the cards despite knowing which card it is before her opponent knows it.

I love the first season's ED, so it was great when I heard it! Although the flashback was unnecessary. And it was a bit too long if they did want to put it in.

Ah, I don't like the First Akashi Girls' High School members at all. I don't like Megumu, and I don't like this girl either whose name I forgot. Hoping Chihaya beats her, but her left hand is far slower. Under normal circumstances, Chihaya would probably crush her. I'm guessing Chihaya might win the first round, but she'll probably lose the second.

Still excited to see what'll happen!

Sad that Chihaya had to enter the tournament with more worries for her injury than motivation from the team match win. If she somehow manages to make it far it would be a big flex tho

Finally some Arata screentime, and I'm kinda excited to see the first years play too.
