| I don't get why everyone's ragging on the animation in this episode. The point was that it was meant to be exaggerated given how ridiculous the situation was. Even then, the animation was way smoother and more interesting than what we're used to with a show like this. Since this is the first post I've made for this series, I may as well give my general thoughts. I'm not as impressed by this as other people are. So far it's proven itself to be tone-deaf in the same vein as Clannad. This show doesn't need to be all doom and gloom, but at the same time, it's extremely hard to take this show seriously when there's a bunch of melodramatic moments where the characters are screaming at each other. On a lighter note, the soundtrack for this show is great. I picked up this series because of Puzzle, but I've since warmed to Welcome to Loneliness a lot more. The song really captures that feeling of being trapped in a hole you've dug yourself. |

| Is this what people nowadays call incels? Yamazaki is kind of annoying. This was a fun episode and it was hilarious! The drawing/animation was unique for sure. I appreciate it tbh. Worried that Sato is going to forget about Yamazaki's things and will walk away with his Senpai. |

| Dude... I love the 2000s for the bold ideas it brought to anime and some amazing adaptations as well but holy hell the transition from cel to digital was ROUGH on top of the shitty economy japan has to go through. Gonzo is one of the biggest studio of the 2000s and yet most of their production is absolutely unwatchable with modern standards, from Ergo Proxy, Gantz and NHK, they all look complete fucking ass. Amateurish anime production from today would look better by several magnitude than this, the sakkan was on holiday break, the inbetweeners have been fired, the people in charge of clean up were probably shot dead in an alley coming in the studio, rarely I come to the conclusion that I could have made a better job myself. Hope the narrative can save all the abysmal visuals. |
