| Sakamoto's wife Aoi hearing Shin of her husband going back to being a hitman, he would face divorce unwillingly, which the fatso would want to disassociate himself against the profession on all matters. But his packet of pork buns being destroyed by the mystery woman of Lu Shaotang facing against a group of Chinese mafia of Dan with hitmen brothers Son Hee and Bacho, both Sakamoto and Shin have no choice but to escort her away. Apparently, her being the last of the Lu clan and safeguarding a key to the clan's vault, the brothers waste no time targeting Lu and Shin, but don't know the badass of Sakamoto. The trade of pork buns for survival, Sakamoto prioritizing Lu's safety because he learnt the hard lesson with Aoi celebrating a Christmas freefall to death to swear that he won't kill but save people instead, it's all standard practice to play defense. Even with Son Hee and Bacho's strongest offenses, nothing fazes Sakamoto with kitchen equipment to match for weapons with Shin's assistance to put Lu's worries to rest. The Lu clan certainly is loaded with stuff, not just wealth, but treasures from generations' worth, with a bottle of Chinese wine from her father, enough to fill the stomachs with leftover good pork buns. And yes, add one more to the staff list, and Lu is part of the convenience store, and the Sakamoto Family Rulebook. |

| The smashed pork buns must've put Sakamoto in a bad mood when the gangsters pulled out knives on Shaotang. Pork buns in return for protection, it's a fair trade. Was that the force of his arms or his weight that made the ceiling to the kitchen cave in. They have a huge array of kitchen utensils to counter the two psychotic assassins with. A present for Aoi with literal blood on his hands...by jumping off and triggering his instinct to save her life she taught him that others have someone they don't want to die, too. Shaotang beats up the gang lord and shows what was inside the vault she had the key to where she then finds what treasure her late father left for her. Sakamoto doesn't want his pork buns to go to waste, Shaotang can make authentic ones later. Now Shin is effectively part of his "family", he too has to follow the family no-kill rule. |

Those two things stuck out to me as well. It's just bizarre. That head scene was something straight out of Dorohedoro, which I'm currently watching; off-putting, bloody violence and grotesque imagination. The wife killing herself felt like some nightmare sequence, not a flashback. Is it supposed to be goofy and the anime's just having fun with it...? To me it looks like it's played completely straight and "heartwarming." She reminded me of that overprotective, manipulative mom from Blood on the Tracks... It's strange how most people here seem okay with these... Still not sure what this show is trying to be tonally. |

| Decent introduction for Lu, interesting flashback given to young Sakamoto (hopefully there will be more), but convinced what i will remember more this time is how that guy was beheaded in such cold blood. Frightening. |

| They skipped ahead a little but to get to Lu's first appearance, but I can't complain too much because I love her (she needs more screentime!) Another good episode |
| It hurts knowing I’m a week late to the discussion of the episode, but hell my post would get swamped even if I was day 1 anyway with how popular this one is, I’ll get over it lol. And I wasn’t expecting the introduction of another main cast member so soon, that could be because they skipped a couple chapters apparently, but I really like Lu Shaotang already, she didn’t really get to do many badass things before Sakamoto stole the show but what bit we did get to see of her fighting was cool, also she’s cute lol, can’t forget that, and I know it’s probably just because she’s Chinese but her voice acting reminds me of the way Shampoo sounds in Ranma 1/2, I like it. And along with Lu’s introduction came an ass whooping from our boy Sakamoto on those twins, they seemed really strong but not in the face of the fat man, and it was here we also got a flashback scene between him and his wife Aoi, that no killing rule came from a pretty sweet moment between the two of them. And after saving Lu from her pursuers, she’s now working at the store too, nice because this means we get to see more of her lol. And lastly, I’m enjoying the bits where Shin keeps seeing Sakamoto kill him in his mind so far, I can see it getting old but for now I think it’s a unique comedy bit. |

| So many slow mos this episode. Only decent action sequence was when Sakamoto started defending using kitchen utensils for like 10 seconds. I enjoy the ost however the rest of the episode is extremely mediocre. TMS shouldn't have received this anime they ruined the adaptation. |

| I'm conflicted now. Sakamoto having no remorse on killing dudes that are behind him or his loved ones was really cool... but it turns out it was all a lie, he REALLY doesn't kill anymore, he killed no one in the last episode, and not just that, but it turns out his wife knows he was an assassin and is the one to tell him to not kill anymore... this show is still fun to watch, but this episode ruined the premise for me with all that, makes it 100% more generic. Anyways, I like Lu, she's cool. I hope something happens between her and Shin lol |

| I think the anime decently captures the vibe of the manga, the fight scenes, though not the best, still popped off and we’re rly fun. The animation is consistent, and I think I’d rather have that than 5 well animated episodes and the rest being shitty ones. Solid episode 8/10. |

| First episode, introduction of the 2 main protagonist. second episode, another new character from the main team is introduce. wow... that's kinda fast pace. Sakamoto is the strongest so far. Shin become strong too because of his esper power I guess. |
